is there a way to duplicate a stronger deck (than the one i've been building, i'm rank 16), i assume i'll have to spend some money, which is ok; thanks
Wzards: thanks; yes, i would like to improve my existing mage deck or duplicate an already existing stronger deck someone else already built: what is the best option ? i don't mind spending some money: about how much money would it cost ? thanks
Mage isn't great right now, except for tempo/aggro mage, I'd suggest for you to wait some weeks to see which decks will rise after the nerf, so you can have a powerful mage deck for the meta that will come. :)
Trollbert: thanks ! 'link' ? i don't know what this means ? don't i have to disenchant some cards to get some dust, so i can craft some new cards ? do i have to craft cards or can i just get new cards when i win/buy those decks you get with money or gold ? thanks
Necrome: thanks; 'nerf' : what does this mean ? 'meta' : what does this mean ? temp/aggro ? thanks
Nerfs:
- Some cards are getting downgraded, losing the efficiency that they have, it could be an increased cost or an ability that was reduced, here are the nerfs that are happening:
- When, a card gets nerfed, some decks will be less played, and other ones will be more, because some decks that were weaker, will be stronger now, those changes on which deck is in a good shape or which one is in a bad shape, defines the meta, so you would play the decks that are good in the current meta, the decks that are doing well.
- With these balance changes, the meta will change, so new decks will reach the spotlight, so I recommend for you to wait.
Tempo:
- Decks like these, I'd recommend the first one, but, the meta will change, so, it would be nice if you waited few weeks after the nerfs:
Necrome: thanks ! how much money do people spend ? should i wait until i know what i'm doing before spending money ? if i spend money now, what should i buy ? thanks pv expansion(S), eg, blackrock mountain, someone said to do this/these ? thanks
if you haven't already you can buy the "starter pack" (i think it's 5$, and every account can buy it only one time) that contains 10 classic packs and a guaranteed class Legendary card, which are really good. that's the best deal you can get on card packs.
you can of course buy old adventures, but i would not recommend them if you just want to have more cards to play, because all adventures are "wild mode" (see the explainations the other guys posted) which means you can not use them in standard mode, which is the better mode for new players as you need way less cards for it. adventures are fun single player encounters but they dont help if you want to improve a standard deck.
if you want to buy packs, there are two different strategies. you can buy a big amount of one pack type (for example 40-60 classic packs) and then use the cards and dust you got from there. the second strategy would be to buy at least 10 packs of every expansion currently available in the ingame shop (classic, ungoro, frozen throne, kobolds, witchwood) because you will get a guaranteed legendary card in the first 10 packs of every expansion you open

the first strategy is the best of you want get dust and craft specific cards, the second is the best if you want to grow a larger collection and get a few more legendary cards than usual. whats also important is that cards from classic packs will always be playable. so if you want to buy a lot of packs from one expansion go for classic packs! classic cards are still very good and see a lot of play in modern decklists

it really depends on what you want to craft and how much cards you are missing. maybe the starter pack i mentioned will be enough, maybe you feel like you want more. when i decided i want to spend money on this game a few years back i bought 40 classic packs and that gave me more than enough cards and dust to play around with until the next expansion came out, where i got the preorder (a special deal you can get on packs when a new expansion comes out). if you plan ahead what you want to craft and dont waste it all on legendaries (a lot of them arent even that good) you dont need a ton of dust to craft two or three great decks.
last tip: you can always search this site for "budget" or "f2p" ("free to play") decks to get an idea what a cheaper version of a good deck might look like and compare it to more expensive ones to decide what cards you may want to craft to improve your deck

What are you meaning by this? Do you want to improve your existing deck?
Link your current deck that you are working with. Then I think you are asking what you should craft to improve it?
