It's good old fashioned fun, Kripp can avoid being sniped easily by not streaming his run live.
Entertainment all-round, Kripp benefits too.
This.
Also, they are not exploiting the game, but rather a guy professionally playing live using 3rd party software and services. There is no way that should be punished.
I have seen the same in Starcraft 2, a guy called Avilo was sniped and trolled by a protoss player (a race he hated at the time) but the result was pretty hilarious!
I think if you broadcast someone without their consent, you have no right to expect to control their behavior. I don't think sniping is a great way to win but streamers make the choice to play with their hands revealed. Also a lot of the time streamers will accuse someone of sniping with no real evidence, super obvious snipers are the exception. And Kripp gets a bunch of youtube views and the sniper just got an arena win so not that big a deal. Once streamers offer their opponents a share of their earnings or the right to opt out of being streamed, then I think sniping would be wrong. For now it's just using an angle to gain an edge.
The arena is just based off of wins and thus it is much easier to snipe someone. Keeping in mind that much easier means you just have a marginally higher chance. The reason this guild succeeds is because they have 10, 20, 30 people queuing at the same time thus significantly increasing their odds of getting matched with Kripp at the time he queues at the number of wins he's currently placed.
The essential conclusion is that it's not that easy but when an entire group of people does it chances go up just like in a raffle contest. the more tickets you have the more likely it is you are going to win but it's still not guaranteed.

While i think sniping is a pretty low form of "entertainment", im honestly impressed how much dedication those ppl have. I dont think many of you even realize the amount of work, time and resources spent on what they do. To get the perfect decks, to get to those high wins and to lie in wait. It takes immense amounts of time and gold/money.
Im not trying to defend the sinper guild or give them some kind of credit for their "hard work", not at all. Im just genuenly interested to know: What do they get out it?
I know some ppl have the strangest hobbies, but to do this for such a long period of time with such a dedication and investment of time and resources, i just for the life of me cannot understand it. Im not aware of any content generated from this enterprise for them or anything like that (so they probably have zero profits from doing this), so only thing i can see they can get out of it is some kind of strange sense of accomplishment, which to be honest, is hella weird.
Obviously there is a very small chance to get some of those guys on the record to shed some light on this, but i would be rly interested to learn more about their motives and "philosophy".
Much like Joker, some people don't need a purpose in life they just want to watch it burn or in this case make Kripp whine. :3

Whilst I agree that streaming your gameplay doesn't mean that you should have to deal with sniping, the fact remains that that doesn't mean it isn't still going to happen, and it's the streamer's choice to either accept that or not. If this sort of thing was happening during an official tournament event or something like that - particularly if an actual material prize was on the line - then it would be another matter entirely. But this is a guy playing casually at home in a manner that invites thousands of people to come watch every last little thing he does. It's not like Kripp getting sniped affects his income as a streamer/YouTuber at all anyway. Hell, you could argue he actually benefits from it somewhat by being able to make videos such as this one. He's well aware that people love to come watch him be miserable/salty. You could argue that he's in no position to criticise the actions of these snipers when he's profiting off of them.
Just some food for thought. Disclaimer: I love Kripp. Just trying not to be biased about this, is all.
While understandably it doesn't necessarily affect anything of monetary value, it does affect other aspects. Such as his win rate and ranking on arena. To some that is actually important. He's well aware of the people that enjoy the salt, however things like this can get a bit much. To a point that it's not even enjoyable watching for salt. He's definitely in a position to be able to criticize this because it's blatant harassment when there's a sniper guild purposely looking to cheat him out of wins. Whether he makes money off it or not. It's like saying a stripper should be okay with being harassed due to the nature of their job. No. It's still wrong.
That stripper comparison isn't even remotely applicable here. You're comparing sexual harassment to losing a few games of Hearthstone. What the fuck even?
Alright, let's take a step back from the stripper comparison then. Point was that kind of mentality is of that thinking, but, let's dumb it down just for you. How about a comedian being heckled during a live performance? Sure it happens. But does it make it okay? Still, the answer is no. All answers lead to, harassment is not okay in any form. It's pretty black and white. Or should I spell it out for you?
I saw this video the other day and laughed. Kripp thinks the WHOLE WORLD are snipers out to get him. He's like the most paranoid dude EVER. It's just an excuse by him for losing the game. I'm sure sniping SOMETIMES happens to him but not at the rate he thinks it does.
Snipers are not an issue of Blizzard, but of the single streamer. They can delay their stream on Twitch to avoid this kind of problems, if they don't then they should not complain about it.
Unfortunately, for reasons he's explained, he can only appeal to their humanity and ask that they choose not to snipe him. As such, they will continue to snipe him to eternity. It is a hell of his own choosing as he can quit streaming or run the risk of getting sniped - since he will not cease streaming the sniping will continue.

As Kripp said, you can't do anything again these users other than reporting them to Blizzard and hoping they actually do something. But as Kripp also stated they can continue to create multiple accounts and continue doing the same thing over and over again.
So the only option for streamers is either to no stream or to have the stream delayed which if they don't want to do it's on them.
Exactly! Blizzard won't do anything about it because anything they do won't stop the snipers. So unfortunately this is poll is a moot point.
They can easily solve this by amending the toc to ban streaming outside of authorized blizzard events. No more snipers.
Streaming is easy advertising for a game, keeps existing players interested and shows new players how to play. Why would Blizzard - or any company - discourage streamers from playing their game if they wanted to stay in business?
The problem that Blizzard would face if they wanted to tackle this problem is how can they actually solve the problem. Banning accounts won't work because they just make more.
I wonder how difficult it is to get to snipe someone. They must be waiting a long time with an open arena with a certain winratio and hope that Krippe ends up at this ratio as well. Then they have to hope that the matchmaker picks them. How likely is that? Or are there just enough people trying to snipe streamers so that it is more likely that at least one hits the game?
As to the sniping itself, I don’t care much. Kripp earns a lot of money with his stream. Probably even more when he gets sniped because then he can be extra salty which seems to be his trademark. And as others have said, it’sjust arena.
Edit: And how could anyone prove sniping? Maybe he is just an exceptionally good player...
edit2: I now watched the video and until the end, I didn’t even think he was sniping. I have these games as well when I cannot do shit and the other person just has every answer. But yeah, I guess it gets to you when it is a common occurrence.

That's a solid comparison. A comic then has options of dealing with this poor behavior. They can use the service provided by the venue (twitch;the comedy club) to have the heckler removed from the place if it gets bad enough. The comparison to this is the stream delay. This puts a damper on their stream and on the comic's performance. They can also engage the heckler and deal with them verbally, usually to entertain the audience, in this comparison being salty and entertaining his stream. They can also ignore it which minimizes it's effect for the person doing it and might reduce the fun they get out of it, but it might not make them stop if they're really dedicated to it. Would there be a sniper guild in the first place if he never made a big reaction out of it?
It's poor behavior but unavoidable due to the nature of the situation.
To the people who think that Kripp likes to get sniped, they are totally wrong. Kripp's ego is huge, he hates losing more than anything, and he likes to drop all the possible excuses when he loses. He doesn't want anyone to think that he is a bad player or anything like that, and he wants to stay one of the best arena players on the leaderboard, so no, he doesn't like to be sniped.
Blizzars should ban snipers? I don't think so. Like other people said, streamers have tools, and being sniped isn't the big deal anyways, specially talking about Arena, where the only thing competitive there is the leaderboard, and you get no rewards for being there.
Well arena does have rewards based on how far you go and there is a leaderboard every month so there is the competition aspect of it. It does affect the individual player so yea there should be a way to deal with the harassment. Honestly I think it does ruin the stream a bit since you know there are games where it's impossible to win when the streamers deck and hand are known. The sad part is the snipers are probably in their 30's and not teenagers.
I vote ban them; they are little immature children who only seems to be somehow important by crashing other peoples stream.
But what i would go for is simply use an overlay. Delay of stream is not really an answer, because you can't chat with the stream on an sniper. But if they can't see your card, the sniper are only an annoyance, but nothing more.
Or if there is a sniper (and an obvious one), delay it maybe and show a video while you play against him. Then play the game after it. With this the snipers doesn't get their attention they need.
Also Kripp should hide the names of the enemies too.
But what blizzard should do is giving us a ban-list; max 1 player per day on casual and 3-5 in arena. The list is invisible, and only prevent you to play against him in Arena or Casual. It should work like the silence-penalty in wow: On the first ban, he stays on the list for 1 week, then 2 weeks, then 4 weeks and so on. If there is a regular sniper/scammer (and roper), then he will stay longer and longer on the ban-list until he never gets away.
Also you can't put a player manually on the ban-list, just the player you played the last game against in casual/arena. (and only gets banned in the format you played against him)

It's the same issue with griefers in any game. If you ban accounts they just make 5 more. What's the point of banning them?

I think sniping is fine if its for the memes, but not for getting the advantage on the target. For example, Wadu.
The problem that Blizzard would face if they wanted to tackle this problem is how can they actually solve the problem. Banning accounts won't work because they just make more.
