do you think secret burn will be the new meta as it is the only deck that didn't get hit at all(other than control lock and odd paladin I guess)? I personally am not looking forward to getting burned down by a bunch of spells and will definitely (still) be playing weapon removals for that damn aluneth.
Pack the 5 drop secret eater minion too. And some healing. Burn Mage does not do well against decks that heal up. That 5 drop Taunt Deathrattle minion is going in many decks I predict.
Aggro mage was played because it was good against warlock, having more people playing classes that were good against mage and average/poor against warlock like odd rogue, murloc paladin, even shaman, spell hunter, odd warrior etc makes aggro mage worse overall.
As someone who actually mains aggro mage, it's tough to say. Nerfing cubelock will make control warrior more viable now, which is an even bigger counter to the deck than paladin is, but having less paladins around will definitely help.
Unlike Even Paladin and Cubelock, which had very few weaknesses, Aggro Mage is very targetable.
I disagree. Aside from exactly control warrior and taunt druid(which are both pretty niche decks, at least right now) there aren't really any decks in the game which beat mage consistently. Aggro mage can just have explosive turns which blow you away before you can even do anything(yes I main the deck and fully acknowledge how broken it can be), so even the deck's bad match ups like paladin are doable and rarely go below the 40% mark.

But Control Warrior and Taunt Druid presumably got better with the Spiteful and Warlock nerfs.
Make no mistake, I think Aggro Mage will be very good. Maybe T1. But it is not like Cube or Even Paly.
I expect it to spike for a while, but then get pushed back. The good thing about it is that it can have an explosive opener that can pretty much beat anything. The bad thing is, if it doesn't explode out of the gate, it gets beat by anything that can heal or gain armor.

I wanna glide down, over Mulholland I wanna write her, name in the sky I wanna free fall, out into nothin' Gonna leave this, world for awhile
I think druid ist going to be the top tier again, I think the spiteful nerf will not be enough to stop that and I think hadronox druid will also be maybe the new cube lock
I might run 2 copies of Chief Inspector in my slower decks if I see a lot of them. I think that card will definently see play, considering theres also a growing number of Hunter decks that use secrets. Still a solid body as well.
As long as Control Warrior/Mage/Druid exist I don't think it will be too OP.

That is honestly my initial thoughts as well. Even if spiteful is played on T7, a 4/4 and a 12/12 is still tough to deal with. And that doesn't factor in ramp. That doesn't however mean it is a bad nerf. It's one more turn that they could draw both UI. It's one more turn for their opponent to find an answer. So actually, it will hopefully be just enough to tone it down, but not kill the card completely.

We'll just have to wait and see.
Ugh. I hope not. It's my least favorite deck in the history of the game and it makes my favorite deck (big spell mage) unplayable.

Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
If you mean in Wild, Secret Mage is solid, but i can't see any margins for it to get dominant.
I bet on Paladin staying strong, Murloc or Un-Even decks, limiting the Mages anyway.
I mean Braindead is basically like the 5th most popular deck right now....so its not like its not a good % of the ladder.
Hearthstone is a game of "copy and pasting"
