I have the same dilemma, i have done virtualy everything the game has to offer; I've started HS in the middle 2014. I have completed all Adventures released (Normal/Heroic/& Other); I got 12 - 0 in arena once; I Have all Basic / Classic / Hall of Fame set cards (Duplicates included); I've reached Legend a while ago; & Got every Golden Hero (500 ranked wins); The only thing left technicaly is to win the Golden Card Back (in wich case i will not bother with that); All while been completely Free to Play (except for the Golden Classic Pack & 2 Cobolds Packs i got from the Twitch Prime promotion). So overall, if you aslo competed those this things, then there is nothing much left too do other than just play casualy, wait for new sets or new game modes. So it's virtualy up to you on what you wanna do next.
Wild feels like just all the broken bullshit the game evolved out of. Like, god, do I really want to see Secret Paladins again? Dr. Boom? Sylvanas? Also it seems like a ghost town of a ladder.
from what you posted it seems you dont play wild, secret paladin isn't cancerous in wild ( i win win against them all the time ).
in wild you can find more variety and diversity in decks.
I don't. I just feel like it's a dumpster for the game's more broken components.
we all do, until i played wild, i didn't play standard for real after that moment and considered it a place where i play Hearthstone just chilling and not even try to think of the best play, i treat it as a casual mode, i do played but for just a few games when an expansion is released and then i go back to wild, more fun more literally everything, but in the end it depends on you not me :)
the problem with standard is you only face like 4 or 3 decks most of the time, you know how to game will go and he knows that too, it sometimes reaches a moment that you try to counter these decks and not playing a deck you like.

I've got gold portraits on all heroes, but I like accruing wins with Priest and Rogue - I'm 1448 Priest and like ~1300 Rogue. It's novel but I wish there were additional portrait bonuses to earn for like 2K wins, 3K wins. Jade, Platinum, Ruby. Something like that. Or new shiny cards other than gold. Maybe a new set of colors for another win amount, like cobalt Northshire Cleric if you hit 1300 wins, et cet.
Like someone stated play wild, for the record isnt a total dumpster and isnt full of broken decks there is actual variety.
Like someone else said just fool around in legend with wacky decks, congrats you made it to legend with spiteful priest you deserve a gold star and deserve to just tool around.
Since most of your replies are negative to i dont want to do that or "time waster"

PLAY A DIFFERENT GAME.
Yeah, Hearthstone is just at my fingertips most of the time I have some time to kill. Overwatch is my console go-to.
I play until I hit rank 5 every month and do dailies. You could also quit playing entirely and just move on with your life. It might be hard to get over the feeling of investment but everyone has to leave someday. If you need a long term goal. Filling out your collection is fun and my main focus. It's just so nice seeing a bunch of cards when you start with so few. Maybe start a new account? It's a lot of fun playing with only basic cards and earning those new ones you need to make your deck better.
Yeah, it's just strange. The game feels so cost-prohibitive - I can't imagine new players join at the rate that veterans retire.

That's the answer I'd spect from a guy that thinks he knows wild but he don't.
Just stick to rank 15 where most of the memes and homebrews are. Farming ladder has nothing to do with fun.
And just throw away the false feeling of accomplishment... if you have any while climbing.
People need to start realizing that everyone has a different way to enjoy hearthstone. A friend of mine plays HS just like that. He sticks around the rank 18-15 mark, never playing more than 2 games with the same deck, and boasting about building this "awesome" homebrew deck to me every single time we talk about HS. I have tried playing the game like that, and in fact I still do it from time to time when I need a break from the norm. But I actually get bored of playing like that way faster than actually playing the game semi-competitively.
This comes from the fact that people assume that "building decks" is the only fun component present in hearthstone. It's not. Actually learning how to pilot decks and learning how to play each match up/generally improving at the game is just as big of a fun factor as playing the game "purely for deck building". I would argue that playing a grueling, 20 minute control mirror against another good player takes much more skill than making it to rank 10 with pirate mage.
The bottom line is that people enjoy different things about the game, and that is totally fine. But that doesn't suddenly give you the right to belittle people who choose to enjoy the game in a different way than yourself.

Yeah. A lot of posters are clearly venting their frustrations with the game (or elsewhere) and judging any deviation in goal, playstyle, or enjoyment that isn't their own. My main pleasure with the game is judging the meta and building decks that spite it (Warlock and Paladin at present).
Gratz on hitting Legend for the first time, I've yet to make that accomplishment myself, not that I've tried though.
Isn't the meta vastly different at the Legend rank? I mean don't people play random shit since they can't drop below Legend? It's been like that at all the rank floors since they introduced that feature, so I would assume Legend rank is like that all the time. If that's the case, I would try playing something that's not cookie cutter, and you might enjoy your games more.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Nature is the Day. Man is the Sun. Woman is the Moon. The Stone is the Sky. The Art is the Way.
I've been playing Hearthstone casually since Beta and I hadn't hit Legend until yesterday. I'd already hit a perfect 12 win in Arena and once I did I never touched it again, and I feel the same way about Ranked now. Anyone else feel this way post Legend? Here's the deck I used if you also want to become dispassionate about the game.
I know the feeling well. I am currently on a hiatus from playing having finally achieved all my goals from the game.
High legend. Beaten all dungeon runs. Beaten all monster hunts.
I ranked to 5 in Wild, but that was such a steaming pile against all the tryhard wild decks that play the mess of brokenness over there I have little desire to try and hit legend there.
So I am sitting back and waiting patiently for the next expansion for now and reaping in the gold from quests each day until then.
This was by far the most boring expansion for me personally. (Barring WotOG) Every deck I face on ladder is Tryhard Even Paladin or Boring-as-Hell Cubelock.
So I’ll think about seeing if the meta is improved after the balance changes (hopefull) or in the next exp otherwise.

PLAY A DIFFERENT GAME.
Do or do not. There is no try.
I will crush you!
Top 200 players get extra HCT points but if you don’t care about that, then legend rank is best place to try good meme decks...
I am envoy from nowhere in nowhere. Nobody and nothing have sent me. And though it is impossible I exist. ©Trimutius
A lot of legend players default to playing meme decks at dumpster ranks after they hit legend, if you are bored that's a way to go.
Otherwise, you can try pushing for high ranks, but that has become way harder since blizzard introduced the new ranking system.

Yeah, it would be nice to have something after the 500 win mark. But it might be a while before blizzard will do something about it.

He gonna o with even paladin and saying skill involved haha. Brain dead deck all over ladder
I am happy to think of it as being that I have ‘completed’ the game in as much as it can be completed. That works for me.
I’m now gearing my accounts up for the next WoW expansion in August.
