I've been playing Hearthstone casually since Beta and I hadn't hit Legend until yesterday. I'd already hit a perfect 12 win in Arena and once I did I never touched it again, and I feel the same way about Ranked now. Anyone else feel this way post Legend? Here's the deck I used if you also want to become dispassionate about the game.
Wild feels like just all the broken bullshit the game evolved out of. Like, god, do I really want to see Secret Paladins again? Dr. Boom? Sylvanas? Also it seems like a ghost town of a ladder.
For me, it's about building my collection and playing fun decks after I had hit legend. I stick at rank 5 and I'm just constantly working towards my next deck. For instance, I want to try tempo shudderwock with Keleseth, but I'm missing Hagatha. I want to try thief rogue, but I'm missing the cutlasses, tess, and face collector. I want to try quest druid, maly druid, and togwaggle druid, but I'm missing a ton of legendaries for those. I'm ust enjoying the game and working towards making new decks so I can play a different deck everyday. To me, this is the opposite of laddering, and much more fun. Unfortuntately, it does take a long time and make me realize how expensive the game is. I hope the nerfs give me a lot of dust to work with.

from what you posted it seems you dont play wild, secret paladin isn't cancerous in wild ( i win win against them all the time ).
in wild you can find more variety and diversity in decks.

I don't. I just feel like it's a dumpster for the game's more broken components.
No, why would you keep playing seriously unless you’re pro/streamer? Now when you’ve reached it play the most wackiest decks you can think of and just screw around with crazy decks. Most of low legend (dumpster legend) players play funny decks only.

With the Even / Odd and tribals I feel like now is the most creative time for deckbuilding in Standard, even with a huge net card loss with the new year. I've got wacky decks aplenty. I'll probably screw around with those a bit before getting bored and burying my phone at sea.

Do you even play wild at all?
Dr boom is trash, secret paladin is low tier 4 at its peak and sylvanas, well... that isnt too OP either
No, I don't play Wild at all. I can't get past it just feeling antiquated. I'm sure the wider card pool makes it much more interesting than Standard, but Standard feels like what's current (probably to sell more card packs).

I play until I hit rank 5 every month and do dailies. You could also quit playing entirely and just move on with your life. It might be hard to get over the feeling of investment but everyone has to leave someday. If you need a long term goal. Filling out your collection is fun and my main focus. It's just so nice seeing a bunch of cards when you start with so few. Maybe start a new account? It's a lot of fun playing with only basic cards and earning those new ones you need to make your deck better.
That is the biggest problem i see with ranked ... for majority of ppl, Legend rank symbolizes some kind of epic achievement and once they get it, they r done. Im like "wtf?". I thought that playin the game is the main point. Same goes for arena. If you enjoy playin the game, why should you stop after reaching some kind of artificial milestone? This game doesnt have an end goal, you cant "finish" it as you can with some single-player title. You can certainly set your own goals, nothing wrong with that, but then you dont need us to tell you what to do.
As i said, if you enjoy the game, just play it. If you dont, move on to the next one and mby come back next month, if grind for legend is something that appeals to you and gives you a sense of an accomplishment. Not trying to be rude or anything, just sayin my point of view.

Play wild.
If it's late in the month and I don't have a lot of time, I do also stop and go for Wild.
But as it is just the middle I would totally play more, as the legend ladder is much more interesting than the 3-1 try-hard meta.
Congrats on Legend. Now you could try to get it without using yet another generic Spiteful deck maybe?

If you want to stay competitive then yes,if not then play casual.

Now do it with a deck that requires at least some skill ^_^
Why do you have to ask, make a decision by yourself. Surely you dont need someone else to tell you to like or dislike something
There is a thing called an uninstall button. Nobody cares that you are quitting Heathstone
