So I just had a random idea and was wondering if anyone had considered it before or if it would actually work. If one was to play Alarm-o-Bot, then play the Shaman spellstone on it, that could get up to four minions on board for free. Are there any combos that people have tried with this before or can think of? Also, would the Alarm-o-Bots trigger all at once or one by one which might result in them pulling a previous Bot back out? I don't have the spellstone so I can't test this interaction.
This sounds really funny, totally going to try it out. The problem I think is either the opponent will have a board clear or enough board presence to kill your little bots.
But, oh no I dont think it will work because the bots trigger one by one which means they can pull each other out. Fun idea though
Ladder decks play ways to deal with a 3 mana 0/3 that does nothing unless it survives a turn. Sorry if your idea of fun is never having your minions removed, but most big mean tryhard ladder players aren't going to sit there and you meme on them. Alarm O Bot is a bad card.
Yeah, the card is bad, but we should always encourage others to have fun with Hearthstone, even if others try to remove the fun by playing Cube Warlock at Rank 25.
In Mage, I played Alarm-O-Bot in order to cheat out an Antonidas with a bunch of 1 and 2 cost spells in my hand and go to town. It was fun, but lost far too easily to top tier decks. But when it worked, it was worth it.

The nice part potentially is that you don't need all of them to survive. Obviously a board clear would likely take care of it or playing Ancestral Spirit on them with mana discounts. I do recognize that it wouldn't be a competitive win condition though. I was more wondering about fun combos to try to pull off.
I was replying to someone else, have fun trying to make this work but like I said the Alarm O Bot road is long and strewn with the bones of other players who were trying to have fun.
Not coming from a competitive eye but from a casual eye.. I don't know how well it'll work.
You need 10 mana for the spellstone+alarm, you need enough overload before then to power the spellstone. You need a hand with both the stone, alarm, and strong minions to drop down without battlecries.
So that's about a 5 card combo (spell, alarm, about 3 strong minions) you don't play, but have to have a hand full of other cards to let you get to turn 10 and end up with a board where your opponent can't kill a batch of 0/3s. Or you.
And once down, the minions have to be strong enough to win the game from there.
Seems.. inconsistent, and it doesn't seem entertaining to try and not that much to even succeed :/
alarm_o_bot is still my favorite card for the exact reason above!!! Who care if you have a 33% win ratio. You just wish to see the face of the opponent who could not get rid of it. Then have to deal with a big minion, and the bot coming back as well.
But yep, I always play two, and there's nothing worst than being able to play one, and only getting the second one out instead of a big guy. With so many on the board, the chances to get a few big guy out is not that great as your hand would be filling with bots. But as said above, if you're playing the bots, you're REALLY playing for fun.

Obviously, it would be a difficult combo to pull off, though with a tick from Emperor Thaurissan you could also play Ancestral Spirit on the Alarm-o-Bot to help them stick. At this point though, the only combos I can think of would be for Malygos in Standard and a combo with Baron Rivendare and Charged Devilsaur in combination with Ancestral Spirit and Reincarnate in Wild. If anyone has any other ideas, I would love to hear them.

As far as I remember they will trigger one by one, so each Alarm-o-Bot will have increased chance to pull out previous one from your hand.
Piloted Shredder, Knife Juggler, Mad Scientist, Dr. Boom
Need to be removed from this game
It's cute, but isn't it ultimately better to just spellstone something good?
I've been down the Alarm O Bot road before kid, it aint pretty down there. Turn around while you still can.
Sounds like a longshot to pull off. I say go for it. But try it in casual. The ladder is brutal and won't let you play fun decks.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
