I know a lot of people are really competitive in this game, but it seems to be getting worse than before.
I have been playing the entire day, and I haven't seen any other deck despite tier 1 decks, at rank 18!! I used to see a lot of try-out, gimmick or even newbe decks last year.
It's not like people on rank 18 need to play these decks. They won't get legend anyway, and if they play often enough, they will reach their skill-gap at some random rank and end up 50:50 in W/L ratio.
So why do they do it? Its getting boring playing against the same 4 decks.
They think they will get to legend...even worse is that they think they will get 1000000 dollars and become a proplayer if they get legend :)
They may won´t get legend, but they want to. Or at least reach Rank 5 someday. They don´t wanna spend a lot of time trying decks they may not work well. Or may they are not good in making good working decks or just too lazy to do, so they just copy. It´s the easiest way to climb in ladder as fast as they can. Sadly true.
You cant do anything about it. Just play what you enjoy and try not to give a fuck. If that's not possible for you then either take a long break (like 3 months at least) or swap for a different card game.
Why do they do it? No fucking idea. Hearthstone players are very boring in general or just poor without the possibility to test any cards by themselves... Or lazy and lacking imagination :)
