1. The Ungoro volcano animation was awesome. 2 expansions have come out since and I was very let down that they did not contain that same awesome effect from Ungoro. I would like to see new boards in the future contain a hidden awesome gem like this, and to retroactively add to all prior boards a little something special. I think this would make every board have something fun to do. Why not?
2. Dungeon and monster hunt runs: Let them give gold. 3 wins gives you 5 gold, up to 50 gold per day. Its not much but its something. It would make running them when you dont feel like pvp seem a little more rewarding and its really not much. I barely have time a day to get 20 gold regularly. Other card games offer a rewarding pve experience that works, such as gauntlet in eternal or the pve arena in legends. *Edit* As mentioned in the replies by several users: Botting could abuse this - An alternative suggested by @Slyde was to award gold on completion of a dungeon run. This i think is a much better alteration.
3. I like the golden hero for 500 wins. Maybe add a crown or some other effect for 1000. Let those that have achieved this get a new goal.
4. I forgot about this one:
Golden cards are cool, but of little effect. I think it would be a cool feature if you have an entire gold deck and get a win, you gain gold 2x as fast towards your 100 gold per day. 100 gold per day for pvp is still the cap.
This would encourage people wanting to risk a little bit less of a competitive deck for faster gains. Id love to play games against people trying this out, so its not the same copy/pasta decks. You might initially think, the rich get richer on this, but typically people with full gold sets that are "competitive" already play enough games a day to get their 100 gold with the current system. Its not like they are gonna stop once they get their hundred gold. I imagine the gold is an afterthought to them since they probably dump hundreds into the game on each expansion release as it is. Plus, this might encourage people to craft more gold cards, which would in-turn create more revenue for blizzard.
I dont see any of these as risky or destabilizing changes and will only add to peoples enjoyment of this game.

I came to the thread expecting to find complaints about cards. Very pleasantly surprised! I like all three suggestions (although I'm not sure about changing boards retrospectively, nostalgia and all that. But definitely going forwards).
1.Yes. I want a fun board to entertain me whenever a player decide to rope me every turn.
2. Yes! While it's true I like getting the card packs the first time when playing Monster Run, it would be nice to get some reward, just to get newer players come back for more (as well as F2P players)
3. Yeah... I guess that would be nice.

My Entry for this week's Card Design Competition - Season 8.16:
Golden cards are cool, but of little effect. I think it would be a cool feature if you have an entire gold deck and get a win, you gain gold 2x as fast towards your 100 gold per day.
You might initially think, the rich get richer on this, but typically people with full gold sets that are "competitive" already play enough games a day to get their 100 gold and beyond.
What this will affect is people who can make semi competitive decks. It would almost be like arena on ladder. Take a risk and sub out a few meta cards for other decent ones you have in gold and get a bonus if you win. This would also encourage some people to craft more gold cards, which means more money for blizzard.
I find great irony in the recent PVE content. They did such an amazing job and must have spent a lot of time on it too, yet the content isnt promoted outside of the initial launch of the new expansion (couple of quests).
I think that the main reason why we dont earn gold there or cant complete daily quests is that it would simply take us away from a game mode that requires from us to have a card collection (well there is Arena, but lets not get technical lol :P), so we are more likely to spend money on packs. If we could just farm PVE for gold, it would probably cut their revenue, not sure by how much or if it would be noticable, but i guess it would, if the option isnt there.
But even then, it seems like allowing us to gain gold in PVE content on a daily basis would promote the game as a whole and the reason (or one of) to play that PVE content and to grind the gold would obviously be to buy packs so you could play ladder, but i guess that doesnt rly generate any revenue for them in the end, since all you spent on the packs was basically your time.
Then there is the factor of new players and how much would that help them. Oh well, we can hope that it will change in the future, but im not holding my breath :(
Absolutely agree. I'm not personally interested in ongoing rewards for pve content, but why not have it?
What I would really like to see more of, PvE-wise, is unlockable heroes like they did with Frozen Throne. The Arthas skin is awesome and I cannot comprehend why they don't make more skins as rewards. I sincerely doubt that anyone cares even a little about getting a card back, and creating one new hero skin per expansion does not seem like an insurmountable task.
I like the idea of adding a crown on 1000 wins, it would be cool if you have a bronze crown for 1k wins, silver crown for 2k and golden for 3k or so (don’t know if thats to much really)
"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..."
Yeah Yeah! I would really like to see some kind of achievement after 1000 wins and so that the opponent could also see it! This would give me a reason/motivation to play again with heroes with over 500 wins.
3. Rotate classic and basic, and introduce an expanded basic set that's actually balanced, so that they aren't picking winners and losers with every new content release.
Blizzard is just too lazy because they don't have any real competitor for HS. Consider since the beta of HS what has been introduced: split of the "competitive" mode (Wild and Standard), Tavern Brawl, a minimal rework of the Ladder (safe floors), a PvE content for each expansion sets.
If you think that the game is out by years now and so little has been done to innovate and getting a better and interesting gaming experience overall. I hope that when Artifact from Valve will be released, Team 5 will do a Hearthstone 2.0 in a way similar to Heroes of the Storm 2.0.
The first three ideas were solid. I'd like to add that in general adding easter eggs should be more of a thing. I also love all of the card interactions between each other. "Hello, Brother." The dungeon run one.. I guess if it's a lesser amount though this DOES encourage those bots, so it can't be much :/

$4, not so much. It seems innocent but we DO have an issue with humans being humans. That is, you can't just ignore how people will psychologically handle a change. That almost no one will enjoy it and those that do really don't need the money doesn't matter. It gives no benefit towards those who get it and it IS a "rich get richer, ha ha F2Pers!" change that'll piss off others.
A change with no benefits and a few penalties, even if logically they shouldn't exist, is not a good change to add.
Pure gold decks already have the coin being gold. That'll honestly do. If blizzard really wants to get more people to buy something they could make, say, Platinum cards that change the background when they are on the board or something that's almost impossible to get.

I’ve always been mad at how boring our recent game boards have been
+ 1 to all three suggestions. Good job!
Ps. Maybe there is something hidden on the Frozen Throne, on the Kobolds and Catacombs and on the Witchwood board :P Maybe we haven’t found it yet.

bump! we want these things!

I ve achieved 2000 wins with mage, so double crown!
"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..."
2: Rewarding brainless grinding of level 1 bosses is not good gameplay imo. 10 gold for COMPLETING a run would be fine, however.

Golden heroes: Warlock, Druid, Mage, Hunter

1. Battle lounges
2. Bawliseum as a permanent game mode.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
I agree.
Having monster hunt give gold would give more reason to play it after having beat it already other than for fun of course.

always up for moar of that.
One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
4. custom game options for casual, and make gold/quests exclusive to ladder or vanilla casual.
