Hmm, Less than 2 month old account. Language indicates long term player. So....troll account or banned account using an alt account to continue trolling? You be the decision! (or perhaps the moderators can look into where you're connecting from and ban this account too! #Happy)
So we're starting the conversation with asking for an account ban, cool cool cool, great discourse. Not sure how my reg date is relevant. Where was the trolling in my post? I meant everything I said up to and including calling OP a dipshit scrub.
I understand bad matchups, but there is something you can do about them, because you get to choose what you play. You can switch decks or figure out how to win the mirror. I reject the notion that the good meta decks are mindless. Aggro, Spiteful, Cube, Quest rogue, all have important decision trees when they need to. But if the opponent has no relevant interaction they win quickly and move on, powerful and streamlined like I say. Aggro, Combo, Midrange, and Control decks are all viable across many classes right now but I guess this is all easy to dismiss as trolling because I don't have 4000 posts.
And I'm not going to watch Kibler clutch his pearls about the meta. He speaks to the Scrub community, not the Spike community. Maybe if Zalae makes that video I'll pay attention.
Simple answer: Game isn't fun anymore? STOP PLAYING IT.
I forgot that having an opinion isn't allowed outside of the salt thread.
Having some frequent updates and balancing to cards would only make the game feel fresher and more cards would see play. I don't see why people are defending Blizzard on this, it's something normal for pretty much all multiplayer games,
See, normally I would agree with you. Look at what OP wrote in his first post. He is not expressing a clear opinion. He says the meta is cancerous, yet does not say why. He says there is no diversity, however I see a bunch of different decks at every rank. The only problem I have with the game right now is that, quest rogue is pretty boring to play against. That's it.
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.

Patent, whiny nonsense. I also asked OP for what is "so unbalanced'. Crickets. Have your opinion. But back it up with more than "it's so imba, OMFG, why is Blizz so bad, lululwhine".

Exactly. I don't mind negativity or points about the game that I disagree with. But make a point. Don't just bitch that "everything is cancer". Make a tangible, debatable point.

Im sure youre having fun playing against mostly pally and cube lock or quest rouge. The winrates speak for themselves. Also blizzard is notorious for slow and awful balance.

There you are! Except, that's really not been my experience up above 5 in April. Yeah, there's plenty of those things. There's also a solid amount of Tempo/Aggro Mage up there. Control Warlock, not Cube Warlock seems to be more prevalent up top. Probably feasting on all of those aggro Pallies that you dislike so much. (A good, sensible adaptation I might add!) Also a lot of Even Rogue up there, more than Quest Rogue from what I see.
So your issue is diversity? Or that a specific archetype has a high win rate? And if it's either of those, how does that differ from any other meta in recent memory that makes Blizzard "so lazy to not balance their game"? If this were the era of Huntertaker, or Midrange Jade Shaman in MSoG, you'd have a point. This isn't that.

FWIW - HSReplays is currently tracking 22 decks with win-rates above 50%, which appears to be unprecedented. I've screen-shotted the website every week since Un'Goro launched, and the previous "record" was 16. For only the second time in the past year, every class fields at least one deck above 50%, and all but Shaman are capable of fielding at least two. I've found that the meaning which most folks attach to the term "balance" on casual gaming sites like Hearthpwn amounts to something like, "I don't like it . . ." It isn't a particularly helpful way of engaging with the community, but lots of folks don't really care, and when they don't like something, they find value in simply bitching about it.
There are some well-discussed tweaks that would be helpful for the game - nerfs to Call to Arms, Spiteful Summoner and Possessed Lackey have been mentioned at length, and all of them seem appropriate. It's also worthwhile remembering that there have been regular balance patches to this game since the format split two years ago - roughly two months after every expansion, or adventure, the devs have nerfed problematic cards. This hasn't made any impression on lots of folks, who prefer to pretend that Blizzard isn't engaged with their own game. It's also worth recalling that nerfs have usually rolled out after the first "big" HCT event - the Summer play-downs finish in May, so it seems likely that the WW balance patch will drop at the end of this month, or the beginning of next. We'll have to wait and see . . .
I have actually had a lot of fun playing ladder this expansion, and usually i don't. I switch between my version cube/demon lock, spiteful lady in white, and hadronox druid. The resurgence of quest rogue is really worrying though, it's such a miserable deck to play against.

What does balanced even mean? Haussenfuss's post is totally on point (go check it out and then come back). There are a ton competitive decks right now. Each are uniquely strong and weak to other particular decks (like Rock/paper/scissors). Really this all tells me that there is such deck diversity that it is difficult to craft a deck that can handle all the different types (there is no one safe/vanilla archetype, all are significantly weak to particular decks). Isn't that balanced too? I only get salty, lately, when my RNG sucks and my opponent's RNG is amazing... oh and quest Rogue, I hate quest Rogue and don't think its any fun to play against or even play- but I don't think it should be nerfed (aggro pally, tempo mage, and even rush warrior decks crush it).
Full balance will never be possible: they keep printing more cards.
The best we can hope for, IMHO, is that the balance keeps shifting. A great example is aggro/face decks. They started mostly as Hunter, but we've had pretty much every class cycle into the "best aggro deck" slot from time to time, and they've all felt at least a little different. Current Burn Mage decks have a different-enough feel from the old Flamewaker Burn Mage decks of yore from Baku Paladin decks.
What's not great over the course of the years is control warlock. It's almost always been a deck, and almost always has tapped on turn 2 and frequently 3. So one of the best control decks in HS has been doing the same opening over the first three or four turns since forever. Balance isn't going to ever really be possible (that doesn't mean they shouldn't fix unbalanced cards). However, variety certainly is achievable, if they've got a will for it.
i've played since release and this is actually the worst meta ever because the game is boring. I log in out of habit and click play and fall asleep in my chair before the 2nd doomguard even pops out of the dark pacted cube.
none of the decks are compelling or fun to play with or against, for a couple reasons. Either they either aren't new, (cubelock, spiteful summoner, quest rogue, aggro paladin) or they are totally boring...the even/odd "mechanic" is so lame it should have been a tavern brawl, a gimmick for a few days not the theme of an entire expansion
yes, i would prefer any prior meta, shaman, secret paladin, undertaker, jade, reno, whatever. It isn't about win percentages or the number of viable decks. 1000 viable boring decks is still boring. I just don't care if i can beat a cubelock with lackey on 5 or not, it isn't interesting at all. I don't care if i can beat a spiteful deck with summoner on 6 into tyrantus. And the two divergent paths of those situations are also true, IDC if i beat a cubelock/spiteful deck with terrible draws and IDC if i win with either of those decks, all totally boring.
The game is balanced. There are some good cards, some bad cards. There are some good decks and some bad decks. That is balance. HS is a card game. Some cards are stronger than others. That's never going away. If you don't like it then HS is not the game for you. But really, 95% of the community complains about a strong card for 24 hours a day, seriously, the game is a better place without you! 'Oh my god, nerf this please'. 'Oh my god, too strong, screw Blizzard'. It's pathetic.
Every time I hop onto this site, I scroll to the top news in hopes of seeing a balance change announcement. Plenty of time has passed for Blizzard to realize the need to nerf at least one Cubelock component, Spiteful Summoner, and potentially Call to Arms.
We shouldn’t have to be forced to slog through a 6th consecutive month of Cubelocks and Aggro Pally’s dominating the top tier and Spiteful decks highrolling their way to the bottom of tier 1/top of tier 2.
The problem cards should have been changed in preparation of the Witchwood release, but instead they waited to see if the new cards and rotation would push these decks down. It didn’t. It’s time to implement the changes.
We all know blizzard takes too long to balance their games, how long do you think it'll take before they deal with this cancerous meta? Im guessing we have a whole nother 2 more months of this "diversity"
Sure its diverse, but most decks play super similarily. Theres aggro, do nothing but hit face, and then there's the hyper control decks that do nothing but play removal for the first 10 minutes and then get out a bunch of long, boring combos.
Midrange and most tempo decks can't counter either of those playstyles, so most of those decks are either F-tier or never seen on ladder.
Its incredibly boring to play a midrange/aggro deck and watch as everything gets removed every turn by a OTK shaman, freeze mage, or cubelock. Are those matchups winnable? Sure. But its not fun. KOFT, for all the Jade Druids and Highlander Priests, was still a decent meta because almost every playstyle had a viable deck. Not so for Witchwood.
The meta is always "cancer" for the people who aren't willing to adapt and rather want to complain about it.
So HS will never be "balance" - there will be just always other kinds of "cancer".
Patent, whiny nonsense. I also asked OP for what is "so unbalanced'. Crickets. Have your opinion. But back it up with more than "it's so imba, OMFG, why is Blizz so bad, lululwhine".

I have a feeling we aren’t gonna see any nerfs at all.
Edit: maybe right before standard rotation lol...
Best nerfs would be rotating iron beak, spell breaker, silence, and mass dispel. Maybe earth shock but keeper of the grove can stay lol...
