I decide to play some games of hearthstone when I get back from work. I wanted to play some standard games and see how they went, I faced 8 aggro paladins in a row, whether they be even, odd, or murloc. I was getting pretty frustrated because I was switching between a couple of decks and still losing to these dumb aggro paladins. I decided to go to wild format and I quickly realized IT WAS THE EXACT SAME. I usually don’t make these kind of posts, but the amount of paladins on ladder and the strength of the current decks are obsurd. They have the highest winrate in all formats and nothing is being done. I don’t even mind queuing into a cubelock anymore, because I’d rather hear anything then “REPORTING FOR DUTY” 5 million times.
Something needs to be done, I’ve had my patience, but please for the love of god.
I do agree that aggro paladin is too dominant in the current meta. Since the rotation and the new expansion, paladin has had several decks hovering over 60% winrate. However, your call for change isn't likely to happen until the following expansion, which is where they usually take the opportunity to create appropriate tools to help mitigate the problems. Golakka Crawler is a good example of this back when pirates ruled the day. Then, after a few weeks if those solutions don't take, only then will Blizzard take action to actively nerf some cards and force change.
In short, what you're asking for will (probably) happen. It just won't happen as quickly as you would like.
OK there are many Paladins out there, but you can quite easily beat them if you don't play "netdecks"... I am quite a beginner at Hearthstone and found out while trying all the new cards from Classic Pack that I am getting those days that some cards are ruining the Paladin, like Primalfin totem or a very cheap Priest with a lot of Mind Spells! Try it for yourself, it is quite fun, those decks aren't very good on their own but totally destroy Paladin with close to 0 mana investment :)
Farm them with Controllock in standard, or patron warrior in wild, and say thanks to this meta because u will get legend
I'm not sure patron warrior will do it. I've been playing a patron/rush warrior in wild and while paladin should be an easy win, I've still struggled. Odd paladin is a favorable matchup, but even paladin is a nightmare. Even with all the whirlwind effects they constantly flood the board and you have to clear basically every turn after 6 due to Tarim being game winning
Even without Tarim the new 8 mana weapon is just really strong

Yeah wild is the same old decks over and over again.... Gaw! I can't take it!
Oh... you said standard
I guess that fresh meta shake don't take long to get stale :(
