I'm a cubelock player (sorry for that) and recently I've been facing a lot of hadronox druids, and seems like they're unbeatable, I've only won 1 game so far and it's because the enemy discarded hadronox. Is there a way to beat it even with another class?
i've seen people tech in Tinkmaster Overspark to ruin Witching Hour. because the token is a beast they only have a 50/50 chance of reviving Hadronox. also the polymorph effect is nice to have against lich king or other high value drops
as for the decks that counter taunt druid: spiteful decks (druid, priest) completly wreck it (70-75% WR), alsmost every paladin archetype is around 60-70% WR against it, mage decks (both tempo and big spell) are ~60% WR, and quest rogue clocks in at an unbelieveable 78,7% winrate against taunt druid.
actually taunt druid is an interesting but niche tier 3 deck with an overall winrate of approximately 48,6%. it's too depending on drawing hadronox and surviving until that point.
Dog lost to a Cubelock twice in a row as Taunt Druid because he couldn't deal with all the Doomguards generated (Bloodreaver summoned 7 Doomguards) but I have to admit he was quite lucky.
Maybe it can help you, focus on Doomguards and not Voidlords. But idk.
Used taunt druid to climb, hardest matchups are mage and shaman, since they have beast pollys, aggro pally decks , easiest are spiteful / cubelock decks.
If you run overspark , you just need to hit his board with token and witching hour becomes 50%.
I have good luck against them with Big Spell Mage. The 2 sheep from polymorph messes up their Witching Hour, and I keep a silence just in case, so they can't cube Hadronox, if they do get him back.
The big removals are good for chewing through the 2 sets of taunts that you cant avoid (original drops, and the first Hadronox / Naturalize reset).
Eventually, you can run them out of resources, and take them out with either Alanna, or just grinding them out with water elementals.
I am not sure what the "standard" Big Spell Mage list runs, but I run 2 Rotten Applebaum in mine, which gives me some decent big bodies to deal with their big guys, as well as 2 Stonehill Defenders. I always try to save these for removal, and don't worry about early damage, the win comes when they run out of resources.

I wanna glide down, over Mulholland I wanna write her, name in the sky I wanna free fall, out into nothin' Gonna leave this, world for awhile
I play quest warrior and run Skulking Geist which gets rid of naturalize (and a bunch of annoying spells from other classes) as well as Cornered Sentry. It's really fun to see Witching Hour res a 1/1 raptor.
I've been playing taunt druid in top 1k legend for the last week or so, and in my experience, the best play for cubelock is definitely pressure. Early giants can do a ton of work (even if they get naturalized, naturalize is a valuable resource), and having skull of the man'ari early can set up huge swings. And definitely focus on the doomguards. Copying and cubing void lords is going to be a mistake most of the time versus taunt druid, but if you can summon a whole bunch of doomguards that can become a huge problem.
It's also worth watching fatigue. If they have drawn a lot more cards than you, it's worth slowing down on tapping. If you have a significant fatigue advantage, you can often stall the game out for long enough by using faceless on their cube/hadronox and making a bunch of taunts of your own.
If you want to beat taunt druid with cubelock the ONLY way to do it is by being SUPER aggressive and killing them AND hope they draw bad like not drawing their taunt's until late in the game and getting all their spells early (yes that's happened to me on more than one occasion with taunt druid).
I think the match up is pretty even between the two decks, but it's also quite skill intensive from both sides.
From the warlock side, generally speaking, you should try to force-tap until you draw Gul'dan, and kill them using your minions and hero power before they get too much value out of hadronox ressurrects. If you can get an early Giant out that can also work if they haven't drawn their naturalize at that point. Playing for value against taunt druid generally means you will lose, because they have way more value in their deck than you do.
As for beating it with other decks, midrange decks in general have a pretty easy time beating taunt druid, especially spiteful decks. Druid simply doesn't have many ways of dealing with a deck filled with multiple medium sized threats, similar to how control warrior used to get its ass handed to itself by midrange hunter and similar decks.
We went to fatigue, which was fine because i used baleful banker to put 2 Amaras in my deck.
I also mind controled one of his hadronoxs, which brought back my obsidian statues and Amaras.
It was a super close game, but i did end up winning. So would echo the comments about Spiteful priest being quite effective against it.
question: are Ysera and Umbra necessary?
Well it was definitely helpful in that game. I think Ysera could be replaced with primordial drake if dust is an issue. And primordial drake may even be better to be honest as it is a guaranteed board clear and taunt.
Umbra is not necessary, it is an amazing combo though when you put down umbra, coffin crasher, that throws down an obsidian statue and that destroys your opponents best minion. But it doesn't happen that often haha. So best replaced with another dragon, deathrattle or taunt given the amount of aggro in the meta.
I had been playing with two budget Priest decks (Elemental and Combo), and I lost every game against Hadronox Druid. Just unbeatable. I switched to a standard Control list that contained Skulking Geist + Mass Silence, and started having much better luck.
Skulking Geist and silence are the techs you need to have a chance against Hadronox Druid as a control deck. Their entire plan hinges on playing Hadronox and Naturalize in the same turn. Without Naturalizes they have a lot of trouble. You then have a chance to silence their first Hadronox. Losing the 1-mana Spellstone is also bad for them.
Skulking Geist is bad for Cubelock, but that's the answer I have. A Twisting Nether probably wouldn't hurt for dealing with a wall of taunts, either.

Maybe... nah nah nah nah
Spiteful priest beats him easily. Steal his cubes and drop big guys in turn 6, ez game ez life

i won 75% of my games against taunt druid with cubelock, thanks to the giants, doomguard and faceless manipulator
I think quest warrior can beat this, using Cornered Sentry giving them 3 beast Raptor to spoil the witching hour turning into Hadronox

I had an epic game against one with my Quest Spiteful Priest:
We went to fatigue, which was fine because i used baleful banker to put 2 Amaras in my deck.

I hit legend with taunt druid. I'd say the biggest counter is control warrior. They have the taunt minion that gives you 3 1/1 beasts.
