Taking a bit of the idea of multiple lanes from what Artifact or Elder Scrolls, I think a format where multiple targets could work.
A new mode called Battlegrounds where there are 3 towers on the opposing team (behind the minion and in front of your hero portrait) sit. Each tower has 20 hitpoints, the middle tower always being the default and no special conditions, and the other 2 being a random pick from the pool of possible towers.
Possible towers:
Frozen Tower (Freezes target that hits it)
Spellbreaker Tower (Cannot be targeted by spells)
Barbed Tower (Attackers take 1 damage from hitting the tower)
Reinforced Tower (10 more hitpoints)
Secret Tower (At the start of your turn if the tower has no secret, randomly generates a secret from the pool of classes. Can only have 1 secret at a time)
Guardian Tower (Has Taunt)
Mending Tower (Heals for +1 per turn)
First player to kill two of the three towers wins. Wild and standard format. Constructed Decks. Towers may be healed, hit by AOE whether it be a healing or a damage dealing AOE at that.
Never seen a game mode topic this good. Seems a) fun, b) challenging/lots of variables/diverse meta, and importantly c) not such a stretch from the current game engine that it could never happen.
Really good idea. It's sad how few gamemodes we have after four years, only dungeon runs and brawl have been added since beta.
Because Blizzard is lazy, and I hope they have to worry big time this winter tho. They need to get off their ass, and start investing into Hearthstone, or it will be forgotten sooner than later

Thanks, only a dream though. They may add another game mode at some point in a future expansion hopefully
