This is unacceptable. I'm already to the point of just completing quests and not playing for fun. Witchwood has been a complete bust for me.
And this was... unexpected.
Usually when a block rotates out we have the a period of time where the game is at its VERY BEST and most fun.
When Old Gods dropped there was about 2-3 weeks where all I wanted to do was play Hearthstone. It was amazing! I was really drawn into trying to make cards like N'Zoth and C'Thun work. There were probably 40-50 quality cards in the release. It felt like you could get on the ladder without about any homebrew deck you wanted to dream up and stand a decent chance at winning and you never really knew what you were going to face. IMHO the golden age of Hearthstone.
Then the next block rotation was all about quests for me. I had a solid month where all I played was Quest Rogue. It was so much fun. But, lots of the quests engaged my imagination on how to build around them. It was still a very fun rotation.
This one...
Nothing. I don't have a single thing I want to play or create at this point. I've played face Hunter (booring), Odd Pally (Yawn), Cubelock (enough already), and Taunt Druid (probably the most fun). Most of their 'new' deck types have been complete flops.
Self damage Warlock looked terrible from the get go. Hand Druid the same. Rush Warrior had quite a bit of support but still seems weak to me. Minion Mage? Please. Thief Rogue still not working because well, it's just not very good to steal cards as a general rule. Hunter got... Not a lot. Not a single Hunter 1 or 2 drop that is aggrocentric. I'm not sure they know what the hell they are doing with Hunter. Paladin is in good shape. Odd Paladin has a grand total of ONE new card (Baku, not even a Pally card) at least in the build I looked at. Even has 3 new cards. I guess Pally can be counted a success? I think Priest got some decent cards actually. Shaman is having some fun with Shudderwock. But, it's seeing a small nerf already and was sitting at tier 4 to begin with. Not good for climbing ladder, but a nice deck to stream.
All in all a lot of failed archetypes and poor cards with almost nothing interesting to build around. When I go on the ladder I see an awful lot of decks that are nigh indistinguishable from the decks I played before the rotation. And that is damning.
The major issue is that the two best decks (aggro Paladin and Cubelock) are the same two of the last expansion, the meta has been the same for too much time now, the low power level of the new set is something I like, however it (quite predictably) failed to shake the meta as it should have done.
Hopefully something will change with the next set of nerfs.
Seeing alot of variety in matchups, Just cause paly decks are in the 60% wr doesn't mean you can't have fun or grind ranks with off meta-decks. There's so many different decks right now with above 50% wr, the only reason you're being bored is cause your forcing yourself into the hive-mind mentality of I HAVE to play this because everyone else is. I also made an aggro crusher and cube-lock crusher deck for when I feel like bullying the meta and those games give me extreme satisfaction.
KnK and Mean Streets were 1000x more stale. Hell, even Frozen Throne Priest Meta was so much more boring.
Yeah, I am also only doing daily quest. Sick and tired of those pallies and CUBELOCKS (which I hate even more than secret pally) on ladder. Got rank 5 and that's it.
I feel the same way. Regardless of the new cards they have released, aggor Paladin and Cubelocks were the top decks before the rotation and they still are.
Spiteful Priest was also a tier one deck and that's gotten better than ever with the rotation of the Old Gods which messed up the power level of 10 cc coming into play without battlecry or a deck built around them.
I mostly find that if I want to experiment with new decks, just forget it. You're not going to beat agro paladin or Cubelock with anything new.
The two best decks from a month ago are still the best decks.
tl;dr ... they cannot make it so every single person on the planet enjoys the game at every point always, you get that, right? So you dont like WW, fair enough, but calling this unacceptable is just pure childish behavior kicking around and screaming like a little baby, thats all. W8 for PVE content that will be out shortly, you might find that enjoyable, or if you rly cant find a joy in the game right now, just don play it? Try something new. Comeback later. Easy enough, no? ;-)
Some expansion sets had unique cards that people used to thinkering around their decks (Old Gods, Quests, Weapons, DKs). WW has nothing, just new cards and most of them don't even give any new mechanics to toy with: just "simple" cards. Also it had been released as the starting set of Year of the Raven but unlike JtU the powerlevel of the new cards is pretty low and that doesn't help to make WW interesting like it should be.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
I also remember Old Gods as the most exciting expansion ever. The flavour was just perfectly delivered, even tho Midrange Shaman turned out to be so dominant.
Either way, i agree there is not so much new stuff to try. At most it is sub-par new decks or sparse new inclusions in old ones.
In part, it is due to KaC tho. KaC is the real responsible for all this mess, and the next nerf will possibly fix the meta, maybe, but it will not bring the excitement back.
All in all, in their laziest brainstorming, they could have simply given wider and more varied support to both Baku and Genn decks (eg. Baku Druid is bad, Even Druid is not even a meme, etc).
PS: Thief package is fair enough in Wild, versatile for both Tempo andaMiracle, and its inherent variety is what kept my playtime alive so far.
I am also not having fun but for me it was expected. The cards released were too bad and with too low design creativity. Well, this is the dark age for Hearthstone unfortunately, Ben Brode (and the other guy) left the team, during one of the worst Hearthstone's period and we don't know what we will have in the future. In any case I am happy that Brode and the other guy left I hope to see better stuffs for this game in the future. But, like now, the future is dark and this expansion sucks too much. We are not even seeing nerf that it should be obvious because these cards are ruining the game like Naga Sea Witch and probably a nerf to Pala and Cubelock would be appreciated.
This decks are way too powerful and is ruining everything, just nerf them to the ground and will have a very good meta like WotG and Un'Goro.
With which deck if they are the usual ones? And it is also full of Naga Sea Witch decks. Very funny wild now yes. It is 4 months (maybe more) that we are crying for the Naga Sea Witch nerf and nothing.

No you won't. Some other deck will be strong and everyone will just bitch about that instead.
He isn't. A lot of people aren't for the same reason.
Sure he isn't. That's why he took time out of his day and made that long ass post on a Hearthstone related website.
Or maybe, like for example me ,he is not playing it and he is sad and he is complaining because he wanted a good expansion, like me, and we received a pile of shit. :)

If you're bored with a game, don't play it.
Try Quest warrior. It is a solid tier 2 deck, and pretty interesting to play:
