These rotations suck. You don't get diversity. I know there are those who will scream about how other card games do this but I’m thinking of the number of different decks we would see right now if it was done differently. I can get behind some cards going to a hall of fame but whose fault is it that they couldn’t come up with a viable counter to cards like Firelord / Windrunner or alternate cards with equal value to choose from? Putting Drake in there was fucking stupid too. None of the format changes eliminated anything “OP” from taking over Standard. Why is Windrunner any more ridiculous than half of what a Priest does? How is Drake any nuttier than some of the 5 drops we have now? The entire point was to create design space but really, it was Blizzard being lazy.
I get we have Wild. I understand it would be too much to have ALL cards in Standard (or would it?). But Standard is put forth as the more important of the two. Standard is where we are supposed to see balance. Now, do we have that? One could argue. But Diverse? No. A meta revolving around how to beat Cubecock is not a diverse one. And how can Standard be diverse when most of the cards are in Wild anyway?
I read a lot about how diverse this shit is and you can see the denial seething through the screen. No, it's not. Sorry. I choose to play this game and I do it knowing full well I'm playing a specific deck to counter the Cubecocks out there. You do too. We all do if we are not one of them. If not, we are in Wild BECAUSE WE ARE CRAVING THE VERY FUCKING DIVERSITY others like to think we have in this fucknut of a meta.
5 different decks that are all pretty good. Shamanstone you'd be lucky to get 1 out of 3 games against something other than midrange shaman. That was absolutely the worst meta ever for diversity, closely followed by undertaker Hunter, though the game was less popular back then so it was harder to netdeck the 'taker lists.
Current meta is not bad, and they've deliberately made this set a bit bad so there's room for the next two sets to be stronger power-wise.
There will always be people out there netdecking trying to get the best decks simply because they want to win. It sounds like you aren’t having a ton of fun in Hearthstone. I honestly enjoy sitting in rank 18 playing really fun decks, not caring if I win. It’s a game spending your free time, meant to have fun. If you want to have fun, play fun decks and don’t expect to win, if you want to win, play mindless decks that aren’t a lot of fun. There are very few decks out there that are a good mix of both.
The 'format changes' are an abject failure, at least in terms of the stated goal They were supposed to make it so each rotation would see about half the cards rotate out of the top decks. As it stands the 'new' decks look an awful lot like the old ones, featuring the same highroll and swing cards. It seems Blizzard abandoned the idea of standard format in their ongoing quest to monetize and retain low-skill players.

Sometimes netdecking is a path to losing. Some people believe its the deck and the player has little input in winning. So they jump from deck to deck looking for the perfect one, and never learn any of them or have an idea why some cards are in it. When the "hot" deak doesnt win for them its on to the next one, rise and repeat.
I think that problem, in standard, is that we tackle balance in the form of nerfing the top 1-2 decks each time, hoping that it will make the meta diverse when that never happens. Nerfing the best decks just replaces those decks with roughly the same number of decks that left the meta due to nerfs.
Why not just give more of the better cards to a wider scope of classes that didn't get them that meta? For example, instead of giving warlock Godfrey (a board clear that pretty much just helps other warlocks take out each others' taunt walls, or attempt to fight against Hadronnox Druid) why not give hunter, rogue, or druid a board clear like that instead? T5 had attempted to do that with shaman by giving them Shudderwok, but I think more needs to be done when proactively buffing weak classes with new cards.

>nobody uses the new cards because they r shit!!!1!
>blizzard so greedy they just want money!!!1!
Do you realize how stupid you sound? How the fuck are blizzard going to make money by being greedy, by making shit cards that no one wants to buy? Christ this forum is like a bunch of 12 year olds
They split Wild and Standard too early. Standard simply doesn't have enough sets in it for an interesting and diverse meta to develop. Even Wild doesn't have that many different decks yet. It COULD, if people actually played them, but they don't. Standard doesn't even have enough possible decks available to be interesting, and that's if people actually played them all.

You are right but most of heartpwn members are unable to understand this and they defend Blizzdard like they own the company. So whatever we say or do Blizz fan boys won't change their mind. Good try though.

I play 10 different warlock decks in wild haha every one of them is good enough xd

You are arguying based on a false premise thus you reach the wrong conclusion.
Could you please link to a source where Blizzard tells us “Standard is the more important format” and “Standard is where we are suppose to see balance.”
We know for a fact that this is not true. Unless you can prove otherwise that is. Blizzard just stated again and again that Wild is a balanced format and this is the reason they do not un-nerf cards going into Wild. See the Raza/Patches nerf and the Witchwood reveal stream.
If you want all the cards, go play the original format that was once called Hearthstone and is now re-named “Wild”. Or you can choose to play the format with very few cards available in the new format called “Standard.”

I have never done that nor have I seen or heard of anyone doing that. Do you have personal experience with this kind of method?

We had 5 expansions and 1 adventure in Standard not too long ago.
There should be a third format with changing every mayby month set of expansions and individual collection of bannde cards ( hall of fame ) where each month we would experience new fresh and diverse meta and balance.

I agree, and the powerlevel of MSG, KFT and KC made the split pointless, as several pure Standard decks were able to reach legend in Wild.

I think you are right about the problem but I think you may be wrong about the solution.
The solution is to not have a classic set. You can have a rotating base/classic set but it should not be the same all the time.
The solution isn't for more cards to be in the standard format but for less, or if not less than not a constant core but a shifting core.
though I am enjoying this meta my Corpetaker Shudderwock is crushing
Well I've been to Hastings and I've been to Brighton. I've been to Eastbourne too. So what?
diversity ? all naga bs , big pri, kingsbane rog sooo many decks :D no need to count palas
All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
Were you around for Shamanstone? Because honestly, I just played 6 games as Baku Rogue from Rank 7 to Rank 5 and I played:
1x Controllock, 1x Cubelock, 1x Baku Rogue, 2x Spiteful Druid, 1x Spiteful Priest.
5 different decks that are all pretty good. Shamanstone you'd be lucky to get 1 out of 3 games against something other than midrange shaman. Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.

What's your argument here? What's to discuss? It seems as though you're just needlessly venting.
