This expansion is terrible. I've been playing since Nax and don't remember a time when the meta became stale quicker than now. I mean, really, it took maybe 2 days before the masses stopped experimenting and settled down to Aggro Pally, Cube, and Spiteful decks. Why? Because the devs dropped the ball on play testing and planning. Plus, to be honest, most players can't even afford a whole new set of fun decks because of how expensive Hearthstone has become. I opened 180 packs after WW and didn't even have the ability to craft every major deck in ranked. It's time for the community to step up and start demanding from Team Five.
I opened 273 packs. I've played one deck. I've seen four decks on the ladder.
Yep. Great expansion. =/
They were too cautious with what they gave us and it backfired. The cards from last year were way too powerful and we can only hope they end up doing better in 3 months since we know they aren't going to buff anything.
They should have come up with a brand new legendary. Maybe a legitimate legendary spell that isn't a quest that could be another build-around for each of the classes so people would at least attempt to create new decks. That's what helped make things interesting last year.
You may be surprised to discover this, but there were, are, and always will be folks like you ready to call every expansion terrible after the first week or less. Just one of those things we all have to put up with in life, like the knee-jerk nerfers or the ones who need to write a long paragraph to tell hundreds of people that they're quitting the game. You even threw in some insults to the game designers, in order to keep the cliché going.
It's time for the community to step up and start demanding more from our whiners and complainers.
i still feel there's a unicorn deck out there, Hadrono Druid might be it, but do you remember how token shamman was discovered basically 1 month before un'goro was over and then it becamme super popular during that month??, i feel WW has the potential of delivering a deck out of the blue like that.
I’m not sure why people are complaining about Cubelock, Spiteful decks, and Aggro Pally being so prevalent in the meta when anyone who understands this game KNEW that those decks were losing next to NOTHING in the upcoming standard rotation. The fact is that those decks both have some absurdly broken cards that should have already seen nerfs, but haven’t. Team 5 waited on nerfs to see if the rotation/new expansion would push the win rates of those decks down, but it ultimately didn’t. The nerfs will be coming shortly and you will have to find something new to complain about in the new meta.
Those complaining don't know what they're talking about. Refer yourself to some actual statistics at hsreplay.net

Big Spell Mage - 51.48%

That's a shit ton of tier 2 decks. Wait until some lists are fine-tuned until you declare this expansion figured out. Maybe you're just stuck in the wrong place on the ladder where you're only seeing paladin and spiteful decks, but I've seen plenty of these others lately.
There's also five Tier 3 decks with win percentages about 48%+ ... Taunt Druid, Midrange Hunter, Control Warlock, Rush Warrior, Odd Hunter.
They even succeeded in bringing back the infamous quest rogue... Not that they created many good cards for it... One more reason to hate the expansion (or the rotation?)...
I totally disagree actually. The meta is going super nice as I constantly encounter different classes. I haven't seen a meta, in which I often meet cubelock, control warrior, face or spell hunter, crow or control mage, odd/even pally, spiteful or taunt druid, mind blast or spiteful priest, quest or tempo rogue, elemental or OTK shaman. If you haven't played the 5 turn scum pirate warrior, c'thun or jade cancer druid, secret paladin metas, then yes this might appear terrible to you, but believe, it is not.

This is the expansion I hate the second most since I started playing in BRM. I hated Un'Goro the most, thanks to one deck. Who wants to guess what deck that is?

Considering Un'Goro was just about the best meta we've ever had I'm going to assume you don't know what you're talking about. Quest rogue was polarizing, but easily beatable.... and they nerfed it. Right now it keeps cubelock in check. Wtf is so wrong with that?

Not really, you can fully expect the turnaround to be a month this time around. It will basically be the same timeline as the nerfs that followed KoFT a month after it released.

I would sign this with my blood. Very exact.

Un'Goro might have been the best for you but that's just your opinion. We're all entitled to one. The first and last times I've ever seriously complained about the meta was during Un'Goro
Quest rogue is either a free win or totally unbeatable, depending on what you're playing. That's just horrible design and it made the expansion a horrible experience for people who don't enjoy playing decks that beat it. At least when you're playing against cubelock, even with the most unfavored of decks, you can start the game optimistic and think of your outs to win. At least you can tech weapon destruction, silence and transform effects. I also really don't like the idea of people getting free wins by just queueing into specific decks. I'm here to play a card game, not queue rolette
The nerf was a godsend. But now with Sonya, people are finishing their quests at pre-nerf speeds when drawn

I think there needs to be one thread, like the salt thread, for all of the worst meta posts.
The format evolves over time. We all knew Cubelock and Dude Pally would be good, so it's not a surprise that lo-and-behold they are top tier right after the expansion drops. Give people time to develop tuned decks with the new cards. I would be more worried if people had figured out the best Witchwood card-based decks already. The fact the meta looks exactly like we expected is not a problem and just means that until the meta changes you should exploit the fact the meta is figured out right now and build decks that prey on the ones you face the most.
Or I guess you could rant and rave about how bad the expansion is. One of those options is productive, the other YMMV.

Feel free to stop playing if the game is so terrible.

Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
