- I don't want to see many of the Wild cards again like ever. - I don't want to see any of the old cancer decks again like ever. Or that Giant shit. - In short-term it's better to invest in Standard. I started to play in Old Gods, my Collection started to grow during Un'goro. Since then, I always preorder. This means, I didn't own many cards from before Year of the Kraken or any Adventures except Karazhan. I don't know how long will I play, but if I avoid the two mentioned things, I will be able to enjoy it. - Moreover if I would like to claim most of the cards I have to pay 50 euros in every 3-4 months. I would do this anyway in Wild, because I don't want to leave Standard and new cards are always interesting. In the Wild way I wouldn't be able to dust my rotated cards and craft in the new year and I should have to buy soooo much adventures and should craft many of the old cards. It's a big investment which I don't want to make.
Everyone here are talking about naga giantlock.... Last month and this one from rank 7 to rank 2 with around 70 games i faced giantlock les then 10 times and mostly won... You guys dont know what you are talking about.... I play only wild since first rotation...never touch standard..yes, i played mybe 10-20 games of stadard after rotation because i have quest like all of us.. But dude in wild you have much more viable decks for every class...yes some classes are better then others but it is the case in standard too...last moth i got rank 2 with fcking malygos warlock then drop back to 5 intetionaly and again hit rank 3 (almost 2 but ww came out) with fckin tempolock... Like, what the fckkk...and i never grind for legend because im not tryhard... In wild there is much more viable decks...

One reason is money. You can dust your old cards and get new cards.
The other reason is because wild have all the OP cards. The reason of his varierity is because people dont play competitively. If you play in this way, you will only play the best performance decks.
The majority of the cards in wild are useless, because there are a little better. And if you combine broken cards with sinergy, it is each time more unfair.
For new player, I definitely understand since you'd feel cheated on to play with against decks that have tons of very strong card you can don't have.
For other older players (I started playing when the game came to mobile, so just before tgt), wild is cheaper because you can have working decks at the rotation even if you haven't unpacked 100+.
Nonetheless, there are multiple categories of hearthstone players.
- Some like to be better at running perfectly optimized lists: they net deck but are very good at analyzing potential plays and threats. They should play standard because it's more predictable and netdecking is easy.
- some like to build their own deck and try cards to optimize it. They should play wild because there's so much much more room to experiment, so much more deck variety, and a lot less netdecking resources.
Nb: pro are good at both, that's why they're pro...
I don't see a reason not to play both...? I switch it up on regular basis just to keep things fresh.
Standard is the most enjoyable to me when I just wanna play with the cards from the newest expansion, since they're not competing with so many sets as they do in wild. The power level is also much lower and there's a lot of rotated cards that I hated that I never want to see again.
On the other hand, wild is the deckbuilder's paradise. A thing to consider is that, while the strongest wild decks are more busted than the strongest standard decks, I see quite a bit more experimentation and diversity in wild. For the last 6 months I regularly reach at least rank 5 in both modes and big priest and cubelock/giantlock are much less prevalent than something like cubelock in standard. Just this month I've reached 4 in wild and saw a total of 1 big priest and 3 cubelocks, so I'm kinda allowed to experiment more and play less than optimal decks and still win games.
most prople can't afford to play wild it's a very expensive format.
I currently play both formats rank 6 on wild 10 in standard started playing ranked again last week from 15 wild has such insane caeds if you already owned then before.
I know a lot of people, f2p included gravitate to it because it's MUCH cheaper to play, you only have to focus on 3-6 sets as opposed to ones that were released extremely long ago.
Personally i play standard because of the same argument you make regarding standard that everyone plays the same deck; if I drop into ranked wild the decks i'll see are all Secret Paladin, Reno decks and Jade Druid; all 3 of which are ridiculous to try and play against and aren't fun in the slightest.
The thing about calling it cheaper is true, if you only play for 1 rotation. Any longer than that and you lose an entire years worth of effort and cards, while in wild they will be playable forever. If you love the game and will continue playing it for awhile, then wild is more fun and cost effective.

I see you didnt play wild in a looooong time...
0 secret paladin, 0 jade druids (tiday olayed against one in last 150 games) , a very small amount reno decks.... You are talking about something you dont know at all....play 100 games in wild and tell me how many secret pally, jade druid and reno decks did you encounter... You all think that wild meta never change itself....like 90% of OP card before standard format arent OP at all now...
So all in all, i play standard here, and whenever i want to witness busted stuff or wombos, i play yugioh.
LOL yugioh has the most busted wombo nonsense this side of the sun....WORSE than MTG
BUT most of those things are fairly easy to figure out what theyre doing after the first few turns. Giants is very easily countered. AVIANA kun combos take a bit of set up..
Fair points, and i am not saying they can't be dealt with, i just don't want to deal them ;)
haha most dont, ive dealt with (and joined them, know thy enemy is a good motto) thats why i dont deter me from playing wild. I understand the copy pasta decks people that play (blindly not understanding how to play them).

Yep..i dont know standard meta at all...but i can see it here on hearthpwn.. But dude wild meta...i know everything about it and yes these cards arent used as much as they did before... They dont understand that powerlevel of cards are changing with each new set of cards...same with n'zoth...he was VERY strong when came out but after few expansion he is just strong but not that much like he was... Same with all other cards i listed.. Im glad that you understand that..probably because you are wild player :)

I do play wild equally as much as standard. So i understand whats wild like. THAT old god is by far the strongest of old gods second only to yogg cause....PRAISE YOGG. But really majority of people just dont get it.
