Aggro is stupidly easy to build.  Control takes a lot of work.  Let's stop complaining about aggro and get to work on building a good non cubelock and non taunt druid control deck.

Or....whatever....business as usual, go back to being lazy and calling for nerfs because rank 15 is hard.

The real problem is twofold

1) there are too few 10 drops and most of them are too good. Too easy to get 16/16

2) Standard midgame minion SUCK. You can't contest Summoner with the lame 4, 5, & 6 drops we have. We are paying 6 Mana and getting trash. Highmane is bad now. The only ones worth playing are Tarim and Summoner.

Every spiteful deck I play I just get run over by odd rogue, odd hunter and odd paladin....

I don't mind. My extra copies for an expected nerf are ready!

If you are having trouble with them, Voodoo Doll is a card, and if you are running druid Naturalize is as well.

• warriors have their removal kit
• paladins have Equality, or Aldor Peacekeeper if you have to run odd.
• Shaman, Mage and Warlock are self explanatory
• Priests have Twilight Acolyte and Shadow Word: Death alongside Psychic Scream or Shadowreaper Anduin to deal with them.

So as you can see, there are enough answers. If you don't have any because you get overwhelmed with tempo, thats the matchup or your own deckbuilding to blame for it. Spiteful decks are powerful, but really straightforward and you have only yourself to blame if you are unprepared.

Not all classes are meant to be able to answer a big threat the same way as other classes.

Spiteful (Priest) is a deck I definitely use myself on ladder. 

I don't think Spiteful Summoner itself is the problem. Maybe it would be better of with 7 mana. It would still be playable I guess.  But I think the card effect itself is interesting, well designed, unique, and shouldn't be changed. 

Problem ist the lack of "bad" 10-drops. N'zoth & Yogg gone, at worst, you'll get a 10 drop with 8/8 stats which is still pretty reasonable if you get to play Spiteful on turn 6. 20% chance of untargetable Tyrantus is a bit too much. 

I could agree on something like the wording of Free From Amber: If the revealed spell costs 8 or more, summon a random minion that costs 8 or more.

There's already a trade-off is playing almost no spells in your entire deck... And if you draw any or all of those 2-4 spells you have in your deck your win rate goes down significantly before the game even starts.

Why the actual fuck would you ever bring aggro or spiteful decks to casual mode? I understand, you want to be competitive in the game, you want to win and reach higher ranks, so you play the meta decks...But what in the seven hells makes you play a Spiteful / Aggro deck in CASUAL MODE?!?!
Can you please leave elemental-hagatha shamans and quest hunters alone with your bullshit? Or you actually have to learn your curve / face deck? Or you want to TEST the deck you just copied from the internet?!
The only thing I like about this, is when I win... I just fucked your noskill netdeck with my home-made F2P shit (OFC via RNG and sweet draws)

Except it is not broken. You have to give up your class' entire toolkit of spell-based removal (that includes single target removal and aoe removal) and all spell-based card draw/cycle. You also have to both draw into your Spiteful Summoners early enough and dodge drawing those 2-4 spells. If you happen to draw them you have two wasted slots for minions as they are just a 6 mana 4/4 at that point.

But you know focus on all of the best case scenarios and act like you give up nothing in the deck building process to try to get that high roll play.

come on man, with the minions that we have now you can basically do everything that you would do with spells, especially if you are playing priest. you have fewer answers, but still you can do AoE (dusk breaker), single target removal (scaleworm), silence, polymorph, buffing other minions... that's not really a fair tradeoff for a 16/16 on the board on turn 5/6. I agree that spiteful summoner should be modified, maybe it should remove the spell revealed.

 

I made a thread a few days ago that got quite a lot of traction : I have to say, I'm glad Blizzard is not taking your opinions into account regarding the balance of the game.

It's about how people keep complaining all the goddamn time, no matter what, and constantly asking for nerfs.

At the moment I made the thread it was Odd Paladin and Cubelock domination on the ladder. The conversation quickly arrived to "Cubelock so OP OMG, please nerf".

I posted this in the thread 3 days ago:

I've been playing a lot of Cubelock today, and encountered many decks that do well against Cubelock.

• Spiteful Priests and Druids are doing great and I actually think Cubelock is unfavoured against them.
• Mages are coming up with some good decks that hit hard to the face and get past Voidlords

Mark my words : Give it a few days, Cubelock's winrate is gonna decrease and Spiteful Priests and Druids winrates are gonna increase. And then you guys will find something else to complain about. Guaranteed.

Since yesterday, everyone is complaining about Spiteful. This community is ridiculous, and I'm gonna repeat myself : I'm so fucking glad Blizzard does not listen to us.

The fact that Tyrantus is in the pool is what kills it for me.

Ok, congrats, you rolled a Deathwing. I'll just play Hunters Mark, or Siphon Soul, or Shadow Word: Death,  or, or, or...

Every class but Druid has SOME form of instant kill that is usually standard issue, and even druids are running a lot of Naturalizes now. But unless you're a rogue with a Vilespine+trigger, or you get a lucky Deadly Shot, theres not a lot you can do about Tyrantus. Its 20% chance to win the game. Or at least force your opponent to put their entire board into it, or outrace you. 

But yeah the whole K&C meta seems to be about cheating the rules.

Thanks for that insightful response about why it is so broken. Care to actually provide an argument or are you just going through some buzzwords around like a sheep with no capable thought to muster up specific criticism?

I have already brought up MULTIPLE answers that almost every popular class has available to answer the spiteful turn. However, people just like to always portray the situation in extremes by stating they'll never draw the answer before the Spiteful turn (Which can happen, but to say that happens most of the time is total BS. For that to happen you need to almost always be unlucky by not drawing any of the answers and the opponent needs to almost always be lucky by getting the Spiteful Summoner turn 5-7ish).
