And how do you suggest nerfing paladin besides completely destroying the entire class?
Baku: If your deck contains only odd-cost cards and you aren't Paladin?
Genn: If your deck contains only even-cost cards and you aren't Paladin?
Call to Arms: 5-mana (still fucking playable)?
Knife Juggler: Whenever you summon a minion, deal 1 damage to a random target (if you aren't Paladin)?
Level Up: Give your Silver Hand Recruits a high five because taunt is cheat?
Silver Sword: When your hero attacks, give your minions +1/+1 if you have no minions?
Or maybe.....JUST MAYBE.....we're only 1 week into the expansion and questions come before answers so lets give it some time to figure out new decks and find some answers to beat Paladins?
Aggro is stupidly easy to build. Control takes a lot of work. Let's stop complaining about aggro and get to work on building a good non cubelock and non taunt druid control deck.
Or....whatever....business as usual, go back to being lazy and calling for nerfs because rank 15 is hard.
Brainless aggro netdecker SPOTTED.
Could not be more wrong. Please keep it civil.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
The mana curve is essential to the game. You’d rather give everyone 10 mana and the ability to draw their whole deck and play whatever they want?
What is meant by a play-on-curve deck, is a deck in which you just play whatever fits the curve best. 1-drop on 1, 2-drop on 2, 3-drop on 3, maybe double 2 on 4 etc. I don't mean to say the way a mana curve works in HS is bad, by no means. Play-on-curve decks just eliminate decisionmaking for the most part.
1) there are too few 10 drops and most of them are too good. Too easy to get 16/16
2) Standard midgame minion SUCK. You can't contest Summoner with the lame 4, 5, & 6 drops we have. We are paying 6 Mana and getting trash. Highmane is bad now. The only ones worth playing are Tarim and Summoner.
I think they are bad design, but the risk and reward is actually balanced imo. You give up on versatile defensive staples in spells for an offensive powerspike.
If you are having trouble with them, Voodoo Doll is a card, and if you are running druid Naturalize is as well.
So as you can see, there are enough answers. If you don't have any because you get overwhelmed with tempo, thats the matchup or your own deckbuilding to blame for it. Spiteful decks are powerful, but really straightforward and you have only yourself to blame if you are unprepared.
A mind between minds! This reply should be fixed in the front page
Actually they have 1/6 chance of getting Tyrantus, so even Hex and Poly are useless. Such cancer.
Not all classes are meant to be able to answer a big threat the same way as other classes.
However, it doesn't matter that you can poly it. Voodoo doll is a neutral card you can run 2 of & for those classes like mage, warlock, and warrior all it takes is to play it and then use a ping, mortal coil, defile, or whirlwhind to kill Tyrantus. Not really cancer.

Teching against something that is obviously broken doesn't dismiss the fact it's obviously broken.

Except it is not broken. You have to give up your class' entire toolkit of spell-based removal (that includes single target removal and aoe removal) and all spell-based card draw/cycle. You also have to both draw into your Spiteful Summoners early enough and dodge drawing those 2-4 spells. If you happen to draw them you have two wasted slots for minions as they are just a 6 mana 4/4 at that point.
But you know focus on all of the best case scenarios and act like you give up nothing in the deck building process to try to get that high roll play.
Spiteful (Priest) is a deck I definitely use myself on ladder.
I don't think Spiteful Summoner itself is the problem. Maybe it would be better of with 7 mana. It would still be playable I guess. But I think the card effect itself is interesting, well designed, unique, and shouldn't be changed.
Problem ist the lack of "bad" 10-drops. N'zoth & Yogg gone, at worst, you'll get a 10 drop with 8/8 stats which is still pretty reasonable if you get to play Spiteful on turn 6. 20% chance of untargetable Tyrantus is a bit too much.
I could agree on something like the wording of Free From Amber: If the revealed spell costs 8 or more, summon a random minion that costs 8 or more.
I don't understand anyone who doesn't think it needs a nerf, it's so obviously broken.
I think they should make it remove the spells it reveals, so there's an actual trade-off to playing it.
There's already a trade-off is playing almost no spells in your entire deck... And if you draw any or all of those 2-4 spells you have in your deck your win rate goes down significantly before the game even starts.
come on man, with the minions that we have now you can basically do everything that you would do with spells, especially if you are playing priest. you have fewer answers, but still you can do AoE (dusk breaker), single target removal (scaleworm), silence, polymorph, buffing other minions... that's not really a fair tradeoff for a 16/16 on the board on turn 5/6. I agree that spiteful summoner should be modified, maybe it should remove the spell revealed.
There are literally people playing Spiteful decks with Keleseth in them. They're deliberately limiting themselves to only large spells and no 2 drops. If people can combine 2 apparently restrictive criteria and still post win rates of 55%+, how can you argue that the cards aren't busted? It's so FUCKING OBVIOUS.
It's basically admitting you don't actually want to have any input into whether you win or not, you're happy to just roll some dice and let the game resolve itself. How boring are these people that they are happy to play like that?
So boring that they're making up about a third of casual decks rn. Seriously who brings autopilot decks to casual? Like I don't mind people bringing meta decks to try and learn but if you think Spiteful decks need some learning...just uninstall because you're not going to get better at this game.
This is what bugs me the most. I don't consider myself a good or competitive player, I hardly play any ranked, so I don't want to express my feelings about game balance ...but... Why the actual fuck would you ever bring aggro or spiteful decks to casual mode? I understand, you want to be competitive in the game, you want to win and reach higher ranks, so you play the meta decks...But what in the seven hells makes you play a Spiteful / Aggro deck in CASUAL MODE?!?! Can you please leave elemental-hagatha shamans and quest hunters alone with your bullshit? Or you actually have to learn your curve / face deck? Or you want to TEST the deck you just copied from the internet?! The only thing I like about this, is when I win... I just fucked your noskill netdeck with my home-made F2P shit (OFC via RNG and sweet draws) ... Enjoy my sweet, sweet BM...

That is one Spiteful deck and the Spiteful mechanic should not be blamed for getting placed into the most broken dragon deck the game has seen. Everyone already knew the priest dragon package was rediculous & that is the fault of purposefully pushing the dragon priest playstyle to be powerful (*coughdragkonoidopcough*). The choice of Spiteful deck is in no way indicative of most Spiteful decks.
Try Spiteful Warrior, Spiteful Mage, Spiteful Paladin, or Spiteful Hunter and you'll see that the playstyle isn't as trumped up as the Spiteful Priest.
It's about how people keep complaining all the goddamn time, no matter what, and constantly asking for nerfs.
At the moment I made the thread it was Odd Paladin and Cubelock domination on the ladder. The conversation quickly arrived to "Cubelock so OP OMG, please nerf".
I posted this in the thread 3 days ago:
I've been playing a lot of Cubelock today, and encountered many decks that do well against Cubelock.
Spiteful Priests and Druids are doing great and I actually think Cubelock is unfavoured against them.
Mages are coming up with some good decks that hit hard to the face and get past Voidlords
Mark my words : Give it a few days, Cubelock's winrate is gonna decrease and Spiteful Priests and Druids winrates are gonna increase. And then you guys will find something else to complain about. Guaranteed.
Since yesterday, everyone is complaining about Spiteful. This community is ridiculous, and I'm gonna repeat myself : I'm so fucking glad Blizzard does not listen to us.

Thanks for that insightful response about why it is so broken. Care to actually provide an argument or are you just going throw some buzzwords around like "cancer" with no capable thought to muster up specific criticism?
I have already brought up MULTIPLE answers that almost every popular class has available to answer the spiteful turn. However, people just like to always portray the situation in extremes by stating they'll never draw the answer before the Spiteful turn (Which can happen, but to say that happens most of the time is total BS. For that to happen you need to almost always be unlucky by not drawing any of the answers and the opponent needs to almost always be lucky by getting the Spiteful Summoner turn 5-7ish).
The fact that Tyrantus is in the pool is what kills it for me.
Ok, congrats, you rolled a Deathwing. I'll just play Hunters Mark, or Siphon Soul, or Shadow Word: Death, or, or, or...
Every class but Druid has SOME form of instant kill that is usually standard issue, and even druids are running a lot of Naturalizes now. But unless you're a rogue with a Vilespine+trigger, or you get a lucky Deadly Shot, theres not a lot you can do about Tyrantus. Its 20% chance to win the game. Or at least force your opponent to put their entire board into it, or outrace you.
But yeah the whole K&C meta seems to be about cheating the rules.
Actually they have 1/6 chance of getting Tyrantus, so even Hex and Poly are useless. Such cancer.

Dude the fact that hunter or rogue should be running voodoo dolls to deal with spiteful summoner is not okay. adding tech cards like that can simply make someone's deck a lot worse than it needs to be. you are using the classic "it has a counter so it's balanced" argument. if you used that logic for any meta then nothing deserves a nerf i guess. Secondly, if the deck has sooo many counters, why does it have such a high winrate? I mean spiteful druid should be terrible now since every paladin should run equality, every hunter needs hunters mark, every mage has polymorph, etc. the best part is that most of the counters to spiteful summoner summons is that they cant likely target a tyrantus, which they will most likely get. And if players need to spend 800 dust to craft some voodoo dolls to deal with spiteful summoners maybe that players deck is not the issue at that point.

Nope.
BabyRage LUL
Cube should be the first thing to be nerfed, as taunt druid is also getting a bit redic.
Then spiteful.
I made a thread a few days ago that got quite a lot of traction : I have to say, I'm glad Blizzard is not taking your opinions into account regarding the balance of the game.
