I do agree and because most of the crappy 10 drops rotated out this month it has made spiteful summoner even stronger now because you're guaranteed to either get an 8/8 or a 12/12 now. lol

Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.
aaand what would you achive with that cost increase? 7 mana 4/4+12/12 in exchange 6 mana 4/4+12/12? Do you think people would stop using it?
I see two easy nerf options: Change text to: 1.Reaveal a spell from your deck with cost 7 or lower... or 2.print more minions with cost 8-10 with low stats.
I guess my only counter to this is that the druids playing Spiteful have to hope they draw both of their Spitefuls before both of their UI's. It's a pretty big gamble to be fair. Priest not so much since they have 4-5 spells that are all good (though 7-8 drops can still be bad). I honestly wish that Blizz had just released some terrible 10 drop just for the sake of screwing with Spiteful. It's frustrating when they high roll Tyrantus out.
Do they need to prioritize a cubelock nerf over a spiteful nerf? Also yes.
And for those wondering, there are two reason spiteful needs a nerf:
1. The powercreep is just ridiculous. I just had another game with turn 5 coin spiteful into tyrantus. 16/16 for 6 mana is NOT alright.
2. Spiteful decks are play on curve decks, and I think we can all agree those should not have a place in the game.
why not' it isn't as if those decks ignored your board, they do trade, the ones that shouldn't exist are the ones that just charge to your face ignoring your board without any drawback, bu fortunately current face hunter does have a drawback
And how do you suggest nerfing paladin besides completely destroying the entire class?
Baku: If your deck contains only odd-cost cards and you aren't Paladin?
Genn: If your deck contains only even-cost cards and you aren't Paladin?
Call to Arms: 5-mana (still fucking playable)?
Knife Juggler: Whenever you summon a minion, deal 1 damage to a random target (if you aren't Paladin)?
Level Up: Give your Silver Hand Recruits a high five because taunt is cheat?
Silver Sword: When your hero attacks, give your minions +1/+1 if you have no minions?
Or maybe.....JUST MAYBE.....we're only 1 week into the expansion and questions come before answers so lets give it some time to figure out new decks and find some answers to beat Paladins?
Aggro is stupidly easy to build. Control takes a lot of work. Let's stop complaining about aggro and get to work on building a good non cubelock and non taunt druid control deck.
Or....whatever....business as usual, go back to being lazy and calling for nerfs because rank 15 is hard.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
I don't see a problem with spiteful. Just made a spiteful druid deck that is supposed to have high winrate and promptly went down 1-8 from rank 1. Only won against an instaconcede low lege player :))
I agree with the person whom stated you have only yourself to blame if your unprepared. I do not like the Spite deck myself but the matchups are pretty balanced in my experience though ive been smashed with an on curve 12/12 Tyrantus. Quit whining or do something to change up your decks to better deal with it.. Its not that hard and sometimes you have to lose a lot before you start to win. Its a game after all. :)

Well, first off, let's not imply a false dilemma. Face decks are definitely problematic, but this isn't an 'or' situation; it doesn't make curve decks any less problematic.
And I believe play-on-curve decks shouldn't exist because this is how I envision a perfect game of Hearthstone: both players face a myriad of challenging decisions throughout a tough game, and whoever made the better decisions wins the game. With a play-on-curve deck, this model obviously doesn't work.
And besides, why play a card game if you are just going to play whichever card has a green outline? (I know that it's an exaggeration, but still).
I don't think that spiteful is OP, but I do think it is bad for the game and needs a nerf. Yes, running spiteful means you have to build a sub optimal deck. Yes, the deck does not have a ridiculous winrate. The issue to me is the game comes down to pure draw rng which is not good for the game. Do you have spiteful on 6 and are not in danger of dying in the next turn? Great, you probably win. If not, you probably lose. Playing 16/16 worth of states where 12/12 of that is untargetable by spells for 6 mana is just ridiculous, and with the smaller card pool that is happening way too often. Spiteful was much less of a problem when we had the old gods and other low rolls in the card pool.

Just because you lose ,it doesn’t mean a turn 6 16/16 ( split over two bodies) is balanced.
I think they are bad design, but the risk and reward is actually balanced imo. You give up on versatile defensive staples in spells for an offensive powerspike.
If you are having trouble with them, Voodoo Doll is a card, and if you are running druid Naturalize is as well.
So as you can see, there are enough answers. If you don't have any because you get overwhelmed with tempo, thats the matchup or your own deckbuilding to blame for it. Spiteful decks are powerful, but really straightforward and you have only yourself to blame if you are unprepared.
Every class can have an answer to everything, there’s an option for everyone to shut down the most aggresive combos, you can argue than even the OTK combos can be stopped way before the opponent got all the pieces. But since rotation the odds to have the answer for Spiteful play is way lower than the odds to win just because you play that card. A turn 5 12/12 is just way too imbalance, and if RNG is good a turn 5 20/20...

For those classes that don't have those fancy Hex and Polymorph and don't run Aggro you can not deal with 2 Spiteful Summoners in a row .
This need to get fixed . May be increase her cost to 7 .

Maybe we can discuss this subject after dude paladin nerf.
Add "or less" to the text. Summon a random minion with the same cost or less.
You're not getting away with running only two spells in your deck.

The top six win rates are all paladin. I think that needs to be changed.
Just like Shamanstone ruined the game, and Reno ruined the game, and Cubelock ruined the game, and Razakus ruined the game etc.
Don't mind me just passing by
I've said it before, and I'll say it again:
Does spiteful need a nerf? Yes.

I even thought of bringing back the old Darkness into my deck ... let’s see if Spiteful decks stay strong.
worst meta ever.
>>10 different aggro decks with high win rate. rogue, hunter, paladin. (remember 2015. there was only face hunter.)
>>turn 6 16/16 with spiteful.
>>unlimited value with creepy spider and ruin end game.
>>weird combo with doomguard cubelock.
>>and broken shuderwock....
game is unplayable now.

I completely agree, spiteful decks are the reason I quit playing ladder since Witchwood
