Ok, thx for clarifying the RNG part. Ok, I'm convinced that the elemental will be a core part of this deck. Hemet is a sweet idea, I give you that, but you have to find the elementals before you play him.
Inb4 I think that Blazing Invocation despite supporting your deck a bit won't always give you helpful battlecries for your Shudderwock. Maybe I'm paying too much attention to the RNG part and maybe you will pick some minions, which will fill up your curve nicely, but this doesn't seem that rewarding enough in my personal opinion.
I hope you didn't take my previous post as an aggressive one, I was just very pessimistic about that strategy. It's just that combos, which include a lot of cards (and are played in shaman), normally pop up on trolden's or hysteria's channels as pure highlights. I also didn't see any powerturns, so please understand my reaction.
About Hemet - I was kinda sad to see that people didn't find any applications for him (only in the temporary Un'Goro Burn mage). So thx for including him.
Shudderwock isn't that great (in standard). People are talking about some weird OTK using Grumble and Murmuring Ele... but it's not really an OTK because it requires multiple set-up turns. Exodia Mage is an example of an OTK deck that is much more consistent, and even then, it struggled against aggro decks. However, Shudder will probably be broken in wild. Shaman has decent control cards, and as long as it isn't playing against a Naga deck, it will probably out-grind all other control decks.
Warlock will be top dog. The few cards Cubelock loses are easily replaced. It's power-level will be tuned waaay down thanks to the lack of N'zoth, but even without that card, it is still a beast of a deck.
Hunter will be in a decent place thanks to the "buff" that the DK is getting. It will be a midgrange deck with an infinite value generator for grindy control matchups. Probably tier 2.
Mage is in a tough spot. Minion mage will flop. Elementals are just too "fair". They are basically vanilla-statted minions with a potential upside. They can't do broken things like Spiteful Priest, Cubelock, and Dude Pally... and if past metas have taught us anything, it's that decks are only good if they break the fundamental rule of the game: cheating the mana curve. Big Spell will probably be the only viable mage archetype, but will suffer due to the lack of Ice Block. And, once again, the deck is too "fair"... playing cards for full mana just doesn't make for an efficient ladder climb.
Warrior got nothing.
Rogue got nothing.
Druid loses it's Jade cards, so it will probably revert to playing an aggro deck, which will be tier 3, at best. Pally just does aggro better.
Priest loses a lot of really good cards. White Lady decks seem like they will be kinda high-roll-y, so I doubt it will see much play. Spiteful might still try to exist, but losing Duskbreaker activators and Netherspite Historian (for more Duskbreakers/ Drak Ops/ dragon activators) hurts the deck against aggro.
this is my bold prediction: Shudderwock combo will be hinderd by the cast animation taking too long thus not being posible to throw 10 times
Wow, that was actually a very strong argument. Can't believe I forgot* about this one.
[edit] So this might not be a TTK deck after all (the first time you use Shudder he will eat 9 mana from your mana crystals, so you have to play him on the following turn => TTK), but it might take 3 or 4 turns, if the opponent didn't kill you until then. Thx for bringing this up.
Warlock dominates meta, then gets nerfed Priest and Paladin will have at least one decent deck Creativity will be killed by old decks Odd&Even mechanic will not work
yeah right, ive been as hyped as everyone else has. i feel this will be the number one most disappointing thing on launch day for the whole community.
Shudderwock is still insane and the combo still nets u healing every turn.but i can't help but be skeptic- not for the combo being weak or hard or anything like that but because of herthstone in game mechanics.
I think this expansion is far better than people give it credit for, Baleful Banker, Voodoo Doll, the OP warlock legendary, countess, and several other cards are insanely good. The mage legendary that copies your minions is with the book is ridiculously strong. So many people are bashing this set but I think its one of the most powerful expansions released.
Cubelock will probably reign supreme (they got so many tools, rat catcher is ridiculous) and i agree w OP art that combo deck. I can also see elemental mage in some form being alright, and aggro minion mage being very strong. Paladin's the glass knight is a really good card, warpath is insane and ring the bell is so much better than most think. I think the top decks will stay the same, except for dragon priest and and secret mage which died. Control mage loses ice block which really hurts, but the 4 mana discover a secret is really good value (1 mana 2/2 draw and play a secret of your choice). Hagatha is insane, if shaman is good enough which i think it will be. Baku in aggro or control paladin is ridiculous, same for hunter. Zoo got good cards, but we also got sleeper cards like the Rotten applebaum.
This expansion has loads of good cards and a large amount of extremely interesting cards, such as Glass Knight, the banker and voodoo, Nightmare Amalgam is one of the most exciting cards ever printed, it completely fills the hole in zoo paladin (in wild). This card will be instrumental to some decks, im sure of it. Definitely one of my favorite cards in the expo along with the 1 mana priest legendary and the banker- among so many other really cool cards. You can go infinite with zola on a banker who bankers zola etc, any deck can be fatigue warrior now.
I think this expansion will be excellent, and the fact that people are saying it's trash baffles me. Only downside is that there are like 40 or more cards you could put in cubelock, and ive already seen some very cool variations on the original deck. no clue why godfrey was printed.
so my predictions are thus: Cubelock still reigns supreme, some elemental or aggro mage will be tier 2 or even 1, lady in white priest could be insane, or mediocre. aggro paladin will still be good but less so, some variation w the secret card will probably emerge.
Now my more bold predictions are that zoo and control paladin have the potential to be insane, banker and zola with Uther of the ebon makes the combo much easier, and the all those void lords don't matter. if the midrange decks aren't good enough, I think this deck could be very dominant.
Hunter is going to have multiple viable decks one of them at least being tier 1 imho.
I mean, I'm sure it will be possible to ladder up with hunter, but I'm pretty sure you'll just be playing an inferior version of other aggro decks (as is true now).
What's hunter getting now that would really help it? Houndmaster Shaw is the only card I see that I would be remotely scared of playing against. Even spell hunter is probably taking a hit as every control deck will start to tech in Chief Inspector at the first sight of any secrets in the meta.

I predict that Shudderwock will be trash.

The Warrior LG will be used in almost every Warrior deck.
You cant fight the power of the tower!

Warrior will have a strong deck.
Minion Mage will be VERY strong.
Even/Odd will have a Tier 1 Deck.
New Shaman Combo Deck will be too slow but fun and Hagatha will prove to be really really strong.
Warlock dominates meta, then gets nerfed
Priest and Paladin will have at least one decent deck
Creativity will be killed by old decks
Odd&Even mechanic will not work

My soul is painted like the wings on butterflies, the fairytales of yesterday will grow but never die. I can fly, my friends.
Knowing how the community judges card, I'm going ahead and tell you that most of the highest voted compendium cards are going to be trash.
Dollmaster Dorian is going to turn out to be really bad.
Chameleos is overyhped.
Oh and Mage will be the new bottom tier class!
Without Ice Block many decks wont work, because Mage has no real healing until Jaina.
I love to play Mage and some of the new cards are kinda good, but it wont be enough :(
Rotting Applebaum says hi, artificer too
