Do you think Even or Odd decks will be better, based on whatever you think puts one over the other, such as a specific deck you have in mind maybe. I personally feel odd decks will be better as the upgraded hero power from turn one (or turn two I guess as thats when it becomes relevant usually) seems too good. Especially in a class like paladin to spam dudes or warrior to stack armor. Even in shaman to choose the totem I think it could be useful. The only classes I think its kinda useless in are rogue and warlock, every other class it seems like it's useful. but I wanna know everyone else's take on even vs odd. also, which one are you planning to craft and play first? Baku or Genn?
i'm not sure either will work in standard until another set gives us some more options to cut weaker cards, but i think odd has the better shot at working. even classes that didn't use Justicar might find it eventually workable to have the upgraded her power from the start of the game, even if not until the next set. for now i think odd control warrior might be able to stand on its own, and possibly priest. i'm not sure even decks will ever be viable

If any of them work to a constructed playable level, odd by far. Upgraded hero power since turn one it's much better and fun that the 1 mana reduction.
Odd is better overall, even is only good in very fringe cases like a Handlock trying to cheat out mountain and molten giants earlier without the help of Naga or a Mage trying to combo the 1 mana hp with Coldarra Drake, Fallen Hero and inspire effects
Unpopular opinion but I think both even and odd will work fine in most classes.
The only decks that won't work very well are : Odd rogue, Odd warlock, Even priest.
Even Priest has access to Shadow Visions, Divine Spirit, and Crazed Alchemist. As well as Lady in White, Soul Priest + Circle, and Silence/Mass Dispel. Or they could just run a modified spiteful list. I expect to see way more Even Priests then I do Odd priests even in wild.
Even warlock is gonna be a tier 2 deck. With all the aoe removals plus doomsayer dk guldan and syphon soul its easily a control warlock without the voidlords. Just use some other taunt demon like hooked reaver. Sure dk turn will suck but in the mean time u already played a bunch of giants from turn 3 onwards. Remember ppl saying barnes hunter was hard to counter when played on turn 3/4 as it pulled Rage Unbound? Yep imagine turn 5 rocking 2 mountain giants going face for 16 dmg when last turn u attacked for 8 dmg. Its controlock with an early punch but a bad late game. Seems tier 2 to me.
it completely depends on your class. Obviously 1 mana warlock HP is better than the upgraded 2 mana one. Same thing with rogue's HP (not that you'd ever consider using it anyway with rogue). And shaman HP is way better at 1 mana than the upgraded 2 mana one, not to mention the 2 drop that synergizes with it is very strong.
How is this a forced archetype? There were only a few cards that were designed with the Even/Odd Restriction in mind. Hardly forced. Merely available for people to play with.
EDIT: I tried to reply to someone, but it commented on the normal chain.... idk how to delete it.
I doubt either will work. The restriction is great and the payoff isnt anything spectatular.
The payoff in Odd Warrior is quite spectacular, and the sacrifice is actually pretty small.
Evens, in general, seem like a klunky way to play, however. The rigidity of always and only using your hero power on odd turns is just really inefficient and predictable, and the discount makes no difference at all after turn 9.

odd seems like a better one because 1-drop is always better than a turn one HP ( 1 mana HP still better than 2 mana HP but you get what im saying )

Neither deck type seems viable for any type of competitive play right now, but, with that aside, odd is the better choice.
As warlock player i would go for even deck...in wild handlock is almost 90% of even cards
Odd = control.
Even = aggro/mid
We all know aggro wins most of the time.
Odd is better overall, even is only good in very fringe cases like a Handlock trying to cheat out mountain and molten giants earlier without the help of Naga or a Mage trying to combo the 1 mana hp with Coldarra Drake, Fallen Hero and inspire effects
none
Neither!

Both: Justicar Trueheart too stronk.

No one will work
