Just now my friend invited me and I got a pack and 80 gold but I thought I read an event note stating that quest will be temporarily removed.
It's possible that he had the quest before event starts
I've had 2 friends that had leftover 80 gold quests, so I got 160 gold and a pack for each quest! Looks like that's why they removed them for the time being; every quest finished grants you a pack, and play a friend counts as a finished quest. Anyway, in one of those packs I got Jungle Giants, so that was the best play a friend I've had! 80 gold, pack and a legendary in that pack.
Had the same experience as #3 did. Who would have thought having few friends would pay off?
