0-5% reveled = I dont know, but this expansion isnt looking good.
6%-20% = This isnt looking good, there are not enough good cards.
21%-50% = This is the worst expansion to date!
51%-70% = Plethora of "Did you pre order" and "What do you think about the expansion" threads. The threads are over half filled with F2p players saying they will not spend, people who are never happy, and people regretting what they have spent.
71%-90% = Wow there are some good cards, this fits well in this deck.
91%-100% = It looks pretty good.
1 week after the release. "This is the worst meta".................
100% overhyped and trying loads of new exciting decks only to find they don't stand a chance against the boring ones
Ikr, Imagine if Blizzard made a game mode only fun decks are allowed. And the AI will detect boring decks and will deny access if you select a boring deck hahaha.
The progression is that 2 days after launch the meta is sorted, we have our tier decks and everything is back to square one. Maybe 3 months in we get a nerfed card.

Fun idea :) But it’s a bit of a fallacy because fun is a subjective quality.
Example: Cube Lock was loads of fun when it came out. I actually remember the first guy who came up with the idea in the Carnavarious Cube-thread. Most people laughed at him and others thought he had a fun idea. The deck was a loooot of fun to play and to play against until it suddenly felt boring due to the fact that we saw it everywhere.
Most new things are fun. Repeat is boring in Hearthstone.

About to say the same exact thing, but ya beat me to it.
Looking at the new expansion one should ask himself: what will the skill floor be? Higher than the previous expansion(s) the same or lower.
Generally people critical are those who look for a higher skill floor, harder win conditions, more balance, creativity, less steep RPS ( a.k.a not a polarized meta), more diversity.
On the contrary the fanboys (face is the place) don't care about skill, don't care about the board or interactivity. For those masses the rush-mechanic will be difficult to swallow as it seems to incourage slower, more creative meta.
As the politics behind card design centers around how to maximize pack selling to the target audience, the fanboy (made this game huge succes), I'm really pessimistic about the skill level and expect dullness, staleness, mindlessness not to differ much from previous expansions.
I really wish they'd stop doing this dragged out reveal shit. Just dump it all on us at once, that way there's at least some fun experimentation period and it's not "I really hope I get that one good card that was revealed 2 weeks ago and I'll dust everything else to get it". The only reason they do it is to pander to the streamers and let them reveal cards and give extremely basic and often wrong analysis of it. Just look at any card review youtube especially by omnislash. They often talk about cards that are rotating as if they will still be around. They clearly did no research and in the case of people like firebat probably jsut woke up 15 minutes before recording the video.

fanboys = aggro players. mmm, why is that?
Aggro players are fanboys, but not all fanboys are aggro players. Fanboys settle for the 5-sided appearance of mindlessness (5-sAoM): the utilization and dominance in win-condition of burn-buff-summon-charger-weapon - mechanics: don't care about the board, face is the place kind of mentality.
Judging the current meta, making a distribution from 1 to 10, meaning from mindless aggressive/don't care about the board (1) to most creative/skill-build (10), I would rate the following:
Aggro/dudadin Paladin/ Zoolock/Kingsbane Rogue, secret Mage: 1; all Hunter: 2; Miracle Rogue/Quest Rogue: 3; all pPiest except control Priest 3; Control Priest 6; Cubelock 7. Most builds are lower than 5, which speaks for itself.
As such, secret Mage is a mindless deck but not qualify as aggro ( maybe spell-aggro).
Myself, I don't know jack, but there's a world-class player who would like to have a word with you.

'fun' is subjective. For some people, the current meta is a fun mode.

Anything I missed?
If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
Myis
The progression is that 2 days after launch the meta is sorted, we have our tier decks and everything is back to square one. Maybe 3 months in we get a nerfed card.
After the release, while the meta is still obviously in heavy flux, there will be premature nerf demands from the 'everyone gets a trophy' crowd.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Spot on, 100% agree. UnGoro was proof enough for me to give up reading negative B.S about new content on here
