Blizzard have a soft spot for the combo. Divine Spirit is the problematic card but I think Hall of Fame is jumping the gun. Just change it's effect and we're good to go. They could maybe make it the opposite of Inner Fire's effect or something
Dude im happy cause molten goes to wild and will be back to 20 mana....handlock and demonlock are very fun decks to play and they are good :) besides that molten is even and most of hadlock cards are even so i will try genn handlock deck for sure

I know, I didn't mean that I'm unhappy with what will happen to molten giant – I love the change 100% – it's just that it seems like they've decided to only HoF three cards at a time, and I think divine spirit or inner fire should have been one of them.
Combo Priest will loose so many cards in the upcoming expansion.
Potion of madness, Kabal Talonpriest, Drakonid Operative, Netherspite Historian and Bookwyrm. These cards will indirectly cause Duskbreaker and Twilight Acolyte to leave the deck as well - unless they release some serious dragon synergy. So basically you lose the entire core of the current deck.
That's like one of the only slightly viable weapons in the priest basic/classic arsenal. The class was reduced to meme decks based mainly around that combo for a very long time. It's like taking away blizzard or flamestrike from mage.
Lol it was bareley even played the first 3 years of HS...get outta here...you know where the salt thread is
Yeah maybe you should go there and whine about how people are trying to discuss something you disagree with. Or you could try to say something relevant. Up to you.

I know that, but it doesn't change the fact that this combo will keep coming back and keep affecting the design space for priest for as long as they stick to the decision of using basic + standard as the core set for standard forever... Bad decision if you ask me.
The only reason the combo is being run currently is because you can tutor them out currently. The spirit fire combo hasn't been a looming presence like HOF cards tend to be.
Coldlight Oracle being scrapped is a nerf to every combo deck. Combo Priest does not need to get gutted extra hard.
Coldlight in combo priest, lol.
Seriously though, anyone who denies quadrupling a minions Health and converting it to Attack for <=5 mana being unbalanced is a brainlet that doesn't know how the game works (or is biased regarding priest). It doesn't matter that Priest is 'losing' support for the combo, they've lost support every rotation and blizzard just gives them more.

Dont think so hahahah do you remeber deathlord turn 3 and you are dead turn 4?
yes, and that was inconsistent AF, priest didn't and doesn't have the card draw toa ccess it consistently, the thing that made combo priest viable was Shadow Visions
Me hungry you yummy. Problem is they can use alchemist to flip health to attack if inner fire aint available or even void ripper. So divine spirit is the problem. Personally i dont have an issue with that just dont let their minions have to much health. Keep poking their minions and they will struggle to use a minion for combo
Putting forward this combo as a Hall of Fame candidate is perfectly reasonable. Bringing up the salt thread in a thread like this is the standard tactic for any idiot who got mad and doesn't have any worthwhile contribution or argument make

But it doesn't always come back. Sometimes it finds it way back to the meta and sometimes it is left forgotten. This time around dragons helped Priest a lot, and without them I don't think it is viable. It's the same with Velen. He is good when he works but it requires the right meta and the right cards, and at the moment he is not in a strong spot and is therefore out of the meta.

So about this divine spirit + inner fire combo – is that supposed to be around forever?
It's been unfun and uninteractive since day one, and it is so now more than ever. But coldlight and molten giants are the ones to go?
Dunno, that just doesn't make sense to me.

is it fun to play against mage who smashes 2xFireball and Frostbolt into your face for 15 damage?

Top deck is cheat

It's not fun to play hearthstone when the opponent play cards.

Pfft! Molten Giant was undoubtedly a waste of a good HoF slot.
But Inner Fire isnt so much the problem. The real problem is Divine Spirit which can be used to the same effect without INner Fire.
