I'll never quite get this attitude. I mean I understand it in that I would prefer to be winning over losing of course, but holy crap does it get boring playing the same stupid meta decks over and over. The closest I got to that was when I played Quest Mage in Un'Goro (it was like a T3 deck I think) or when I played an aggro mech shaman for rank 5 three seasons in a row back in LoE.
Sure it's satisfying to win against someone, but it is far more satisfying IMO to beat someone by playing Ancestor's Call to pull Malygos and burn them for 45 damage. Or to double Play Dead on a cubed Charged Devilsaur for 28 charge damage. Or to pump out a stream of massive minions with Umbra + Kobold Illusionist, procing further DR's as they're summoned. Or to use Treachery to give your opponent a Fel Reaver and then freeze it with Glacial Shard and spend the next turn burning all their cards. Or to Naturalize a Cubelock up to 10 cards and then Togwaggle to steal his deck and give him your shitty stack of draw cards.
Honestly, the possibilities are endless with this game, and I'll never get sick of playing stupid janky combos, even if it means my win rate is probably closer to 45% than the 60% I could be at playing T1 decks at my rank. So yeah, win=fun but winning with an awesome deck is far more enjoyable.
Definitely for fun. I really like the idea that you have hundreds of cards and you have to pick 30 to build a deck.
I love playing cards considered "bad" and create unconventional deck (like a Dragon reno N both rogue or a Iron juggernaut/brewmaster warrior)
HS is for me not a competitive game but a sandbox to test a lot of stuff and have fun
And nothing is more boring to play again and again against the same netdecks....
Playing for the fun of it. If it aint a fun game why play it?
I enjoy.
Playing should only be about fun... Now I'm a sinner and I admit playing to win to do my dailies...
I don't know, you tell me.
