Unfortunately this is not true. There are no more adventures coming ever (which hurts f2p players the most I think, since adventures were a sure way to get solid, playable cards).
It's more just standard card game format now, where they just release new sets of packs every 4 months or so.

Idon’t know why but as a F2P player, I hated the adventures. The idea of paying 700 gold for 8 cards was something I couldn’t stand. Maybe I just like the feeling of opening packs too much but I’d always say look at and say “I want Kindly Grandmother.” but it would be in the fourth wing and I’m not going to spend 2800 gold for it.
Bear in mind that Dungeon Run 'replaced' adventures insofar as PvE content. There's no 'rewards' (other than cosmetic) but also no cost and the cards from the adventures were not good value for money/gold.
They have announced that Witchwood will come with something similar to Dungeon Run too.
Well, i wouldnt say ever. And also both KFT and KAC had PVE content and WW will have it as well, we r not gettin "free" cards, but we r gettin PVE content, which was what most ppl who liked the adventures actually wanted from it, so i think in the end everyone is (or should be) happy. Blizzard makes more money from xpacs and we get an amazing PVE content as a bonus :)
Nope, no new adventures with cards but hey we get amazing free PvE content, now for rewards, it might have rewards, as i remember each wing of Ice crown giving one pack for the first time you cleared it and well even if they'r purely cosmetic like the Dungeon run cardback we still get a dungeon-run like mode which overall is solid fun.
Theres no money to be made in adventures, imagine how many packs are bought throughout until the next expansion by each player. then compare it to each player paying a one-off fee for all cards of that set
I feel they still will have PVE content. Aren’t adventures just PVE content with a price tag, I feel that they will do it like KFT where they give you packs instead of cards and maybe a lagendary or 2

Take for example my open packs in K&C, more than 150 packs (15.000 gold), only 5 legendarys, will get 5 legendarys for sure with adventures with only 3.500 gold.
Do the math and tell me what is better for a F2P... >_>

I suppose I wasn't considering Legendary density, but total cards per gold/$. I still think I'm happy with free PvE content with the level of playability of Dungeon Run, I'll happily withdraw the 'value' argument.
I can take or leave adventures. From a fun perspective they didn't really do it for me. They were generally far too easy and just felt like a chore to do to get the cards. I just wish they would give us actual rewards for the more difficult things like the heroic mode. Not a card back.
I feel the same way about dungeon run and if monster hunt is the same i'll be very disappointed. Not everyone cares about card backs and in the end it's just an aesthetic thing. Would it kill them to at least give you some bonus packs or gold to reward people who explore the PVE content to the fullest extent?

To play devil's advocate on that though, let's say you buy 200 packs in an expansion; are you really excited that they gave you as many as 3 packs for finishing? Because I don't see them giving more than that (and more likely just 1), making the reward blend unnoticed into the rest of the cards you dust.
Meanwhile a card back, even if you don't use it often, stays there in your collection saying "look what I managed to do!"

I mean you have a point, but I still feel like all the PVE modes have very little replay value once you get the reward(s) unless you really really like them. Any bone they could throw at us as a repeatable reward for completing it successfully would at least make me feel less like I'm wasting my time.
That's a stupid point. If with 3500 gold you are guaranteed to have all the card of the adventure. How much gold would you need to have a full expansion? Nowhere near 3500 I assure you.
At least once a year you were sure (as a f2p) you were on par with all the other players in terms of card collection. That was HUGE.
I miss the adventures for this , not the stupid pve content with 0 replayability.
I always loved the adventures but was conpletely of the opinion they were all way too expensive! A huge gold-sink most of the time. Shame really because they were good fun.

So, One Night in Karazhan is leaving standard format, I assume we will see a new adventure but when?

They said they don't intend to release new adventures in the future.
And yeah it really sucks for f2p.

Adventures dont make a lot of money i guess.
