for me they scraped it before the releaseand didnt had time to replace those cards.
even if they add new strong cards... why ignore half your collection only for a better hero power ?
they are probably trying to test what's gonna happen with these decks to assess strenghts and weaknesses and will print support for the archetype in the last expansion or possibly next year (see razakus priest with shadowreaper anduin)
I happy for we don't get tons of useless cards with one theme, like handbuff in MSoG, but only one even card after the legendary looks very few to me, a least the same from odd...
They certainly didn’t just abandon Odd/Even decks. The have alot of time to make the cards before they are actually released. Removing cards before release and replacing them halfway through is not an option. You just have to see Genn and Baku as another option to build a deck. Not every archtype ever has to be “the best” or try to be. Some things can just be fun or have more designspace in the Wild format where they really shine. Seeing that alot of people aren’t happy with forced deckstrategies, blizzard might try it with a different route like you see now with Genn and Baku. Just giving a small hint like: “looks guys these cards are fun and unique, why don’t you try them out? Just keep in mind they’re not the only viable option you’ll have.”
The odd/even thing doesn't need more support. The effects of the legendary are extremely powerful, and the deck restrictions are not as bad as a lot of people are assuming.
If they had more support, we'd be in a Reno-Raza-Kazakus situation right off the bat. Nobody wants that.

ehh there's enough to think about with only the legendaries, the thing is that some upgraded hero powers are really powerful if you are able to just start the game with them Tank Up! and Fireblast Rank 2 come to mind, so Bakku has playability in there and the class cards were made for classes that wouldn't like the other one too much (which seems weird because an upgraded hero power is at bare minimum 3 times better than a 1 cost normal hero power so Odd is winning people over regardless of blizzard printing cards to support them, in fact funny thing).
as for Even i feel even is meant to be run with Justicar Trueheart in wild, so that you get the upgraded version of the Hp for 1 mana.
lol no they didn't, they printed 6 strong cards that use it & going over board on a new type with 3 sets rotating out is dangerous. They plan their expansions out years in advance, it'll get much more support in the coming sets.

I was disappointed yesterday at the announcement; but after a day to process it all, I am tending to agree with you. They dedicated 4.4% of the new cards to this mechanic. I wanted around 10%. It is dangerous to have too many at once though as we have seen quite a few required nerfs in the past year. As long as they continue to support the mechanic in the next 2 expansions with around 4-6 cards in each expansion, I am fine with their decision. I do want to see each class get a specific card for this mechanic. I hope your prediction is correct, and I remain cautiously optimistic as they have a history of giving up on past mechanics way to soon.
Nah, they did good. Put out an idea, test the waters and power level of the concept, then print more (probably had a lot the team came up with) after player feedback and testing is done.
They have learned the mistake from The Grand Tournament. They went heavy into the inspire mechanic and it flopped. Players weren’t particularly enamored with it and in practice it was clunky and the cards were over costed. Most people consider that set the worst with only a handful of cards ever being relavent. So I’m all for Blizzard dangling their feet into the waters before jumping in.

I certainly understand what you mean, but at the same time the few non-legendary minions for the odd/even mechanic don't even seem that great as far as the bonuses that they provide for including them in their related decks. Granted, we aren't seeing what the future will be in any form of action since the cards aren't out yet, and I am not trying to say T5 should push power creep even more by making the stag/cat/etc be OP in their effects.
However, it seems pointless to try to strike a balance between nudging players to more openly craft around the mechanic, and the opposite extreme that the archtype should be thrown on players, if such a balance between the two is making a single common, rare, and epic that are in all honesty pretty lackluster. T5 could have just not included any other even/odd specific card except for Genn & Baku and I seriously doubt anyone would notice. The cards don't seem like support cards so much as filler cards.

Well, to play devil's advocate for all we know prior to the upcoming reveals there could be many more rush and echo related cards than odd/even despite those mechanics being just as much of a risk of flopping as inspire. If that ends up being the case I see no reason why echo or rush could potentially get more of an emphasis than explicit odd/even themed cards.
I personally was SUPER exited when I saw the first two legendaries, and I wasnt expecting ANY other cards with the odd/even mechanic. This was not a failed or scrapped mechanic, it simply did not need a lot of support to begin with. Its a deckbuilding challenge, and if you print a ton of odd/even mechanic cards, the deck just builds itself instead of making it a fun and skill-testing mechanic.

I think they will, but I also thing Unstable Evolution and the few cards with similar rush mechanics also did the water testing that will allow them to go full in if they want to. Unstable evolution is super fun to play. Rush cards are in general a better balance of interactivity than charge. By making the keyword instead of a battlecry effect they can avoid cheating the charge for too many sick combo plays. (Looking at you Charged Devilsaur
Every card in the game has an even or odd cost, and the legendaries that would power this deck activate at the beginning of the game, which is pretty powerful. I don't remember anything having a consistent power like this before in hearthstone, a card that does what you want before you draw it, so I think it could be very good. The legendary effects also synnergize with your leftover mana, so if you play a 2 cost card on 3, you can use your hero power with the remaining mana.
I'm actually pretty happy blizzard didn't go overboard printing support cards for these specific decks. It creates a more challenging deckbuilding process where there aren't many cards that Blizzard can point to and go, "Those. Put those in this deck and it will work."
Personally, I think this mechanic could be pretty powerful in some classes. Restrictions on what cards to put in your deck always seems like a huge deal... until someone invariably figures out how to make a really good deck with the restriction, then you wonder why you didn't think of that.
Where does it say in the rules that they must launch the entire expansion around 1-2 cards?

I dont know how about Blizzard, but I did. ;)
Where shall I start...

They don't need cards to have effect if your deck is odd/even .
If for example they plan on Odd druid to be a thing, they are most likely printing odd druid cards .

i think you're right.
aiming at later expansions is very possible

Why people underestimate upgraded hero powers/1 mana hero powers so much? and do reno decks.. use only highlander cards? seriously..
All you need to make archetype work is just few staple cards, the rest will be filled with existing ones. So I think 6 is enough for now.
