Nah, honestly, I'm mostly a priest player and I find that the decks that I struggle most against are tempo mage and aggro druid. Midrange Hunter can also beat Priest into submission quick enough for Priest to get a hold on the game.
Aggro decks like Paladins and Mages should be 50/50. Another OTK priest can counter them lol xD. Teching in Skulking Geist and trading all minions that comes on board and just exhausting him is gg
Try a fast aggro deck. Only thing that can destroy you is duskbreaker. I ranked fast with demon zoolock with keleseth. (Include cards like chain gang, councilman, dreadlord, bloodfury potion and crystal weaver, you dont need deathknight because of discards. My version used silverware golem. Fill with aggro demon and zoolock tools)
Murloc paladin can do well. Buff divine shield or hp with unidentified maul, coldlight seer and megasaur. If you are lucky you win by turn 5.
Priest comes down to the draw of duskbreaker. Dont overextend on board. Save your divine shields. Maybe take a bad traid.
Regardless of if the deck you play is already favoured or unfavoured against priest, you should go back to the deckbuilding stage and see if you can slightly change your deck to be more favoured.
well priest is actually favored against control lock. and its probably even against cube lock unless the WL has perfect doom guard and mountain giant shenanigans hands.
best thing against priest is priest right now actually.
I played a lot of combo priest this month and Paladin was by far the most annoying matchup. Since combo doesn't run Pint Size + Horror, I need to get a good mulligan and good Netherspite RNG to get as many Duskbreakers as possible, but even that's not always enough because of the many ways for Paladin to generate Divine Shield on its minions.

I know! It makes me happy, because ladder is suddenly clearing from Locks. As for countering Priest, I play Dude Paly (DUDAR PALAR BEST FKN PALAR) and it's amazing. It's not exactly straightforward, but if you get to know how it goes, it's just savage. However, T3+coin Duskbreaker and another Duskbreaker just demolish you and there's really not much you can do about it, unless you've got godlike RNG and drawing skills.

wait what? dude pally is not straightforward? guess your signature is totally true lol.
even when vomiting your hand on board every turn you can just redraw insanely with divine favor or get a board instantly with various things. then you trade with the face (or murlocs) when that is not straightforward - what is?

Surely playing Dark Pact on Lackey is not straightforward, right? Vomiting your hand all the time is the easiest way to overextend and lose to aoe fast. You can play that like an idiot (and judging from your comment and a nice, little personal attack, is what you do), or plan ahead. I'm trying the former, and go with Dude Paladin. I don't find playing secrets and bursting face, or tapping hero power into Defile into Lackey into Dark Pact that amusing, or skill intensive (or more skill intensive than piloting Dude Paladin).
I've just finished running from R10 to R5 with Spiteful Priest (which I guess is Dragon Priest).
Strong winning percent against Cubelock and Tempo/Secret Mage, once you learn to play against them.
I probably had a winning record against Dude Paladin, but you need to have your duskbreakers early.
I'd say a hard/fast Zoolock, Aggro Druid or even (rare) Evolve/Bloodlust Shaman can give troubles, and if you can buff your murloc paladin beyond 3 health that can also be a troublesome deck. However, I'd expect Zoolock and Aggro Druid probly get wrecked by Cubelock, so might be cutting off your nose to spite your priest if you chose those.
Plus, check out this thread recommending Kingsbane Rogue against Priest. I didn't see it often, I'd say I guess I won twice, lost once, but the loss I thought I had for sure, but he ground it out.
Well, i've been playing my own Quest N'Zoth Warrior list and had good results against priest. Rag Hero Power gives you huge value since it can kill Big priest minions, remove potential combo targets and do a lot of face damage. I also run Geist to counter any 1 mana spells.

To each their own, I guess.
hahaha oh man, sorry, but control lock is about 5x harder to pilot than either dude pally or spiteful priest. you have to carefully weigh your life total, draw, threat generation, and removal. your win condition is wildly different against all common archetypes on ladder. even cuberlock is harder to play than pally.
just look at the win rates for dude pally vs control lock. most current paladin builds basically reward misplays with their capacity to refill both board and hand.

Hey guys, need help.
What deck can counter dragon/otk priest? I know im noob, but i stuck in 14-12 rank and cant move on.
Thx!
How to counter priest? Play Priest.

Tempo Mage - there's nothing better than a skillful Ice Block followed by swinging everything to the face!
I've no clue what I'm doing...

For combo Priest try to trade every minion they got on board, also try to tech Skulking Geist.
For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
Almost play WL, hunter.
Cant build control control WL cuz dont have twisting nether and Nzoth. Also cant play tempomage cuz i dont have aluneth.
Regardless of if the deck you play is already favoured or unfavoured against priest, you should go back to the deckbuilding stage and see if you can slightly change your deck to be more favoured.
For example, if you want to play control warrior, running Alley Armorsmith is probably not a good idea these days since it can be stolen by Cabal Shadow Priest and Potion of Madness without even needing to use Pint-Size Potion
Playing Skulking Geist is also a must (if you're playing a deck that plans for the long game that is)
You can play tempo mage even without Aluneth. Just take the second Arcane Intellect
Wait, what? OP, you're playing the number 1 top deck atm and still moan? :C
What happened? Sinature ultraskill combo of Possesed Lackey into Dark Pact stopped working?
PS - yup, I'm salty af atm :P

Wait until expansion next month. The core of dragon priest is gone for good.
if you want it now, play Pally
