As someone who is a hard control warrior loyalist. ive been waiting for something to get excited for something for rotation. Baku finally makes control warrior actually be what it was, but its even better...why? Control Warrior in 2015 was powerful because of Justicar Trueheart and that happened on turn 6. Ive seen people claim that control Warrior not having even cards like slam, execute, blood razor etc etc which is a fair point, but i believe the trade off is worth it to be honest. What people dont realize is that having tank up on turn 2 is pretty insane....because like i mentioned that Tank up was pretty good after turn 7. I have some cards that i been playing in Control warrior itself and their odd mana cost.
Mithril SpellStone - Ive been saying to my friends that this card is pretty insane when you play 3 5/5s on turn 7. Considering Fiery waraxe is in the same deck, there are 2 of your weapons right there and not accounting for the fact we dont know what weapons blizzard will make.
WhirlWind + King Mosh - Considering this combo was played not to long ago. I can see this being brawl #3 and thats not even accounting for Reckless Flurry ( also 3 mana)
Threats for your Deck - Elise,Stonehill Defender, Baron Geddon, Ysera, Alexstrazia. We dont know what other cards we will get, but i can see these choices being a good value for your deck.
Now i know we havent seen alot of the cards yet, but i can convinced that Baku is exactly what Control warrior needs to be about make a comeback. Who knows....im sure Blizzard will make the odd mana cost cards very powerful to support this playstyle.
Baku CW will be stupid, I agree. Losing razor and swtf rotating sucks but reckless fury and brawl with infinite hero power stall is dumb. I do think that every other baku deck will be really bad, and the only even deck with any potential is dude paladin with genn. I wanna say even shaman but thats really optimistic, needs a lot of support.
Greymane isnt bad for control warri either, you can use DMH as win condition, 1 mana hero power is verry easy to weave in for sustain. Baku has brawl aoe clears, but DMH is better win condition. its pretty close between both atm for control warrior list.
Also new 4 drop Militia Comander is pretty good midrange removal which warrior lacks.
I think Baku will make Quest Warrior somewhat playable again, in the last Witchwood video they specifically brought up Quest Warrior and mentioned that many good taunt minions have an odd number cost.
As for regular ol' Control Warrior, we'll see. The last two expansions had some interesting epics so Baku may not even be needed for the class to be viable again.
Warlocks infinite value, supreme master of broken cards, will keep any CW in check but will be a very good deck vs any aggro.
You really think that control warlock has anything against a heavy control warrior?Warrior needs only a little help to bring him back to the best Control deck in Hearthstone.
Rin can be somewhat offset by Dead Man's Hand. The real issue in that matchup is that Siphon Life > Tank Up!. (On a related note, I really wish they'd nerf Siphon Life to 2 damage; I guarantee you nobody would drop Ghoul Man from their deck).
Though with Stonehill Defender, I'm picturing crazy matchups where the Warlock ends up destroying your deck twice with the Rin sequence.
I think it’s fairly obvious that Baku will be control and Genn faster decks. I think Warrior will get some support for Baku...and hope control tank comes back.
I wanna see it, but warrior will need too much help. The best cards warrior has received the last 3 expansions were even. Lets see whats blizz has prepared to the red guy

Hearthstone is a game of "copy and pasting"
