League of Explores were probaly the perfect expansion. A skill heavy, interesting set, with powerful cards overall.
My favorite full expansion overall must have been Un'goro, although it's "fun" factor was diminshed, because old cards from MSOG still dominated the meta. Kobolds revived some of the old problems from MSOG, with cards like Kingbane, which is a card that just completely dismantles the idea of outlasting the opponent.
Except League introduced one of the most cancerous mechanic contributin' to the whole RPNGstone shenanigans - Discover. But MSoG comes 2nd close for polluting the game for a whole two years, yeah.
I disagree that Discover is a bad mechanic. It's still a fan favorite for a reason.
Discover promotes decision making, and is one of the few mechanics, that aren't you facerolls. I honestly rarely see anyone complain about Discover, although it's rng, it's still controlled rng.
Not when players win games they never deserve to win because of savior Discover pick. Especially from a class they don't play after MSoG, like those pesky priests discovering Ice Block they didn't deserve to discover ever. On top of Ice Block they stole from Mage's deck. So, no, it's cancer.
but the card you talking about its drakonid operative from Msog and besides this card can you show some other broken card with discover?
Well, although I like the Discover mechanic, how about Primordial Glyph?

2+2 = 5 is stated as a fact but is factually wrong. Facts deal in absolutes. Any statement that requires a moral measurement is technically an opinion.
MSoG was the first time since beta that I ever stopped playing due to the state of the game as opposed to me just getting busy irl. I cannot think of any expansion besides KotFT having nearly as terrible of a meta in the months following release.
I agree with OP, I've been playing just the brawls for a month and a half now, not even bothering for the quests. I don't know if MSoG really was my favorite, but I remember I had lots of fun with Kazakus Mage and Miracle Rogue at that time
While I don't think Mean Streets was the best, it definitely isn't the worst (sorry Grand Tournament it had to be someone). Really the part that ruined Means Streets was how poorly balanced the major mechanics were. The Jade mechanic was incredibly overpowered, the Highlander mechanic was probably fine overall (if not sometimes annoying when Reno was around) if they didn't go and print DK Anduin, and hand buff was laughably bad outside of fringe Paladin decks. Plus, Patches and Small-Time Buccaneer were pretty OP in original form.
In my opinion the best expansion is either Un'Goro or Wrath of the Old Gods.

Fact: Jades weren't a problem until the relase of Frozen Throne. They just killed fatigue format, which sucks, yes.
