I'm just proposing this theory because I don't think it's 100% unlikely. Seeing as standard will lose 2 expansions and 1 adventure, and receive 1 expansion, what do you think about the notion that maybe Team 5 would decide to make this expansion with over 150 cards?
I think it is beneficial to them financially as well, because the more cards there are to get, the more money people would potentially spend.
And also it would probably make players happier, because the card pool would not be lessened by as much as if we receive the normal amount of cards.

not likely, more cards mean more balancing issues, with every expansion released it gets harder and harder to deal with it, and they already have a lot of problems right now, I don't think they would want to make it worse.
For that to make any sense, shouldn't the final expansion of the year then be tiny?
It will be the same it has been since the introduction of standard; three expansions leave at the beginning of the standard year, three expansions are added one at a time over the duration of the standard year – rinse and repeat.

Nah, since they will put again 3 xpacks i dont think they will overcrowd the card collection, nor try to rip us off anymore
And by anymore i mean THAT MUCH
