And he's not going to lose that much with the rotation next month, so what is Blizzard waiting to fix this messed class ? next expansion will just offer him more and certainly better cards to mess with and it will them another 3 months to react and nerf the wrong card, seriously, this is just getting stupid here.
They're very strong all round with strong synergy but there are a lot of decks that can still compete against it right now. As long as Blizz holds off on giving them too much extra love for upcoming expansions things will balance out imo.
I would agree with all except I think Priest has comparable if not better board clears. He doesn't have to use them as often because he can steal your minions instead.
Priest is losing a lot of core cards for their builds while Warlock will almost lose nothing.
We know nothing about the next expansion. Quit preaching doom and wait. If it's a few weeks into the year of the Raven and Warlock is still dominant, feel free to resume your petition, but until then, pleeeease stop complaining about a non-existent future
Feel free to play a warlock for a while, then get back to me.
Yes, the decks (Control and Cube) are extremely powerful. But they are also very weak against a few different classes / decks. They are nearly auto-concede against secret / burn mage. They will either wreck, or get wrecked by Paladins. If they get their board clears, it can be the most lopsided match you will ever play ... but, a Paladin can also have you dead by turn 6 pretty easy, so get a bad draw, and you are screwed. Priest is a nightmare trying to play around mind controls, 10/10's on turn 4 or 6, mass dispel's, stealing minions and inner fire combos .....
So, IMHO, no ... nothing needs to be done about them. The players have already done it ... they have at least 3 or 4 decks that are medium to hard counters for it. Honestly, I just got my golden warlock hero, and I am switching classes because so much of the meta is made up of "anti-warlock" decks right now.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I wanna glide down, over Mulholland I wanna write her, name in the sky I wanna free fall, out into nothin' Gonna leave this, world for awhile
Warlock just got good again since K&C, for like 3-4 months, and now people already complained... The class itself will be in the spotlight for at least most of this year.
After the rotation, Priest looks like will go to the dumpster because it already had its time for the whole 2017.
They are the only thing keeping dude paladins in check right now, so no, it's fine. All I want from the next xpac is for Warrior to actually be a class again. #feelsbadman

I play Cubelock and get destroyed buy secret mages constantly. Also, spiteful priest are a big problem. And Silence cards or destroy weapon cards are a game changer for the opponent.
Cubelock's skill ceiling is quite high, compared to those 2 previous decks I mentioned. An average player with Cubelock is not gonna destroy the ladder just like that.
It sometimes seems OP when you play against a Cubelock who gets good draws, but so does any deck in the meta when getting good draws.
Let's say I get 2 Voidlords in my hand in early game, but can't draw the skull? My face is wide open for you until turn 9 (or 8 with coin).
It's not fun to play against, yes. But secret mage, spiteful priest, paladin murloc, Kingsbane rogue, etc.. are not fun to play against either.
warlock class do have good drawing mechanics and board clear but there are decks that are able to counter warlock decks. Personally, I have to switch between mage and warlock decks in order to successfully climb the ladder this season.
If you feel that warlock class is strong, might as well try playing the counter deck. Secret mage is definitely a good one to try out. But please do not expect to win every match against warlock using the mage deck though, cuz after all, RNG decides who's the winner. (given that both players are of the same skill rank)

Warlock became the strongest class because they nerfed Priest.
Were you also one of the people who called for a Priest nerf?
We warned you: If you want to nerf 1 thing, then another will take its place. Learn your lesson now!

I just climbed to rank 5 in both Standard and Wild with a fatigue Warrior. The decks have the same game-plan with Dead Man’s Hand and N’Zoth but the wild deck has better cards obviously.
What’s wrong with you? Why can’t you rank up with Warrior?
As i wrote elsewhere, i think the problem is the current balance of the meta, which holds on the basis of reciprocally broken decks and their counters.
The issue with such a meta is that some matchups feel lost from turn 1, while others feel autopilot. Only a portion of matchups are "fair". All that while statistics suggest balanced wr ratios.
The issue is even more acute in Wild.
I am not sure whether it is something that can actually be fixed, once and for all, with a bunch of nerfs.
All in all, i believe that a softer nerf on the old neutral Tempo package, eg. untouched Bonemare, would have allowed more room for a larger variety of Tempo decks to dilute the peaks of the meta and its harsh matchups.

You have two options till next xpack releases:
- Play Warlock decks;
- Play warlock decks.
Big priest silences & statues
Nope, warrior still has the best boardclears, just the worst decks to make up for it.

We get it, your autopilot deck just got trashed, but no worries, warlock isn't oppressive and probably won't be.

Ibn Fahd.
I don't really see the problem. But then, I don't play aggro Paladin. Sorry you can't stop everyone.

I have a Cubelock and a Controllock deck and both of them can lose against the wrong deck.
Until you've played Warlock, you can't call it overpowered. Just to echo what other people have said.
It's also NOT a brainless deck as some people claim. Hence why I've given up on it. I'm not good enough to play it well consistently.
