What rank/server is this and what kind of magi are popular?
Ranks 10-7, NA server. Vast majority were Secret Mage. Priests were mostly Spiteful. Warlocks were cube or control.
I was playing exclusively cube/control warlock. Tried the "pick one deck and stick with it" suggestion. Needless to say, I went nowhere. Started at Rank 9, finished at rank 10 ... made it to 7 at one point. Seemed virtually every other match was a bad matchup.

Play the best deck in the game and expect to get countered. The upside of playing T1 decks is that you're going to win harder when you queue into people not countering you... but when there's almost 50% counter decks in your area, it's time to change decks if you're serious about climbing. You've played enough games recently to rule out variance and unlucky matchmaking. You're also at the rank 10 net now, so there's not much to lose by experimenting for a new deck
Yeah we're stuck with it. I hate having to play aggro but you kind of have to at the moment, there's just too much secret mage. It feels like your choices are play an aggro deck or lose constantly.

I went on a 14-5 run from 9-5 today with Control Priest. Murlocs are easy to farm, Voiddaddies are easy to steal, and Tempo Mage is tricky but not impossible to outlast. Basically, if Cubelock isn't working for you, go on HSReplay and see what the most popular meta decks are and what counters them. Jade Druid had a 58% win rate in rank 6 today for example.. Plan your ladder run a bit better.
Cube is pretty dreadful against secret mage, you have to tweak your decks based on the meta. if you're facing mage 43% of the time, and warlock quite a bit, pick an aggro deck. Its like rock paper scissors, you can't just keep picking rock and expect to go anywhere.

I just got legend. What's your excuse.
Yet another user so full of himself to not understand that this game is 90% RNG and card draws and the rest deckbuilding. Ignore him, probably reached legend with murlocs.Wow,such a pro.

LOL. It is kinda funny that earlier I made a post asking for deck suggestions, and the majority of the replies were "pick any top deck and stick with it, don't try to counter the meta".
But ... just for giggles I just played 10 games with Aggro Paladin, and whadda ya know .... 4 Druids, 2 Priest, 3 Warlocks (2 of which were zoo), and 1 freaking mage.
If nothing else, it looks like it will be a normal season. Rush to Rank 5 or 4 on the last couple days with an aggro deck. I always enjoyed Groundhog Day I guess.

While there is a clear trifecta at the moment I come across all sorts, jade druids, dude paladin, spell hunter, a fair few zoolocks, the odd control mage, big priests.. control priests..
I don't think it's a poor meta, beta than a ladder full of raza imo
Personally I'm.glad to hear the struggles of control lock.. every one comes up against counters.. I've played a lot of secret mage recently and can tell u the hardest warlock to play are those which maximise recovery, the armour beetles and spellstones.. tweak your deck a bit for maxing out health
Secret mage is easy as f*ck and super fast. Now that most smorc decks got nerfed, secret mage being the most popular deck was the only logical outcome. People want to win without being good and just play the decks that they allow them to achieve this.

the "pick one deck and stick with it" suggestion is dumb and honestly only for plebs. if you're any good you can play all decks with almost 0 mistakes after playing a couple games with it when youve played hearthstone for a decent amount of time. id suggest using the spell hunter right now, it got me to rank 5 earlier by accident. and it feels like a control deck of sorts
i tried cubelock earlier, and it is a good deck. but since everyone is running tech to counter you i think it would be a bad idea to play it tbh. and just play decks that take advantage of people over-teching for warlock.

This isn't a meta ... this isn't balanced ... and screw "fun is subjective" ... this isn't fun.
69 Games ..... way to go Blizz ... see ya in April ... maybe.
And just to try to make this a little less salty than it is ... what the hell can be done? Are we really stuck with this for two months?

I've seen worse metas.
I've also played games where players have been stuck with a rough meta for a lot longer than two months.

What is sad is those ellipses you keep abusing.
OP, What are you playing?
But thank you for your enlightening contribution to the thread.
