I tried some games in wild. Its a lot different than Standard obviously. Nice to see cards Ive never seen before. The mech decks are neat.
Anyway, i only have a dozen or so wild cards. The deck I used was a big spell mage. I did get a request after a game for a friend. Dude is genuinely nice añd seems sincere. Asks me why I am running a standard deck in wild. I say I wanted to test the waters. He wasnt salty but did say it is unusual to run a standard deck.

did you see only Naga Seawitch? its so fun riiight.. btw that guy is right, it is unusual but why should you care
People run standard decks in wild all the time. If you don't have a lot of wild cards, just craft the 'broken' ones like Shielded Minibot , Mad Scientist, Imp Gang Boss, and Voidcaller. There are a number of strong commons and rares that will give you an edge. It is hardly needed to have a deck of mostly retired cards, although Sludge Belcher and Dr. Boom never hurt.

There’s nothing wrong with playing standard decks in wild. However you’re likely to be outclassed by the overpowered strategies that are available to those with fuller wild collections. Some standard decks still work in wild pretty well but usually they’ll have a few powerful cards from wild that make them better.
Nah OP you're fine. There are players out there that nerd rage when they get beat in wild by the meta decks of standard and will berate you for using a standard deck in the format, but who are you to let random unimportant people on a forum dictate how you play the game?

Nothing sadder than raging after losing to a deck that's limited to less than half the cardpool :D

The page lagged and for some reason added the quotes thrice :D
Odd story. I'm a Wild player and pay attention to HSreplay. There was a Wild HSreplay deck that was very successful but not too popular so I tried it out, worked fine but... I suddenly realized it was all standard cards. Went back to HSreplay, checked the standard-play decks and it wasn't being used there at all.
I suppose that it's possible, because the metas are so different, that a standard deck could be much more successful in wild than standard (despite there being more OP decks in Wild) but I was a bit shocked. I should have made a note of what deck that was, but I didn't, and it vanished from HSreplay not long afterward, I think.
You crossed no lines and it honestly isn't a big deal. But quite a few people dislike the notion for standard deck being played in wild cause honestly what's the point of playing the format if you don't make your deck better with some wild inclusions.
Do your thing, carry on and when you get the chance craft some wild cards that'll improve your deck.

I play standard decks in wild all the time, all 30 cards. I love it. Sometimes it works out perfectly - my skill vs their cards. Obviously i don’t always win but it’s a really nice feeling to win with sub-par cards, because my opponent misplayed several times!
And the fact that i don’t know 28 of my opponents deck by turn 3 is really nice too. Shaking things UP!!!

Hello!
Why would you have crossed a line? You were only handicapping yourself, which is perfectly fine.
Blizzard is a lie for money lul

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
