I did it regularly with some kind of netdeck. But this time I build a deck from scratch and went all the way to 5..so glad I managed to do it completely on my own as I was getting bored of playing always the same decks everyone else plays :D
It's a keleseth Zola paladin with call to arms corpstaker and a dinosize.
Nice! Glad you found success with something different than always the same murloc or aggro paladin :)
I'm planning to do that too, but I'll try it out when the new expansion hits...I'm gonna make it a challenge not to look at any decklists online, who knows, maybe I'll inadvertently create a meta-deck xD :)
So you got to hard mulligan for Keleseth, then the Corpsetaker is 4/4 - marvelous against priests - and Call to Arms really rock, right?
I don't hard Mulligan that much a good one drop or a raylling blade to kill some 3 health minon like mana wyrm or cleric is also quite good. As well as my favourite anti priest opener: dragonhawk turn 1 followed by blessing of wisdom turn 2 with an righteous protector to defend it.
Other than that yeah a 4/4 corpstaker rocks and kele'seth into call for arms is the dream especially whith an equipped weapon ready for southsea deckhand.
Zola is rather versatile you could pull kele'seth with call to arms and then put zola on it if you have no better target in mind. Zola tarim is super good for longer games and even Zola into righteous protector saved me some games
All different kinds of priests seem to be really good targets for that deck. But also hunter tempomage and rouge.
Warlock is rather tricky..you win some you lose some
Worst matchup by far is evolve shaman followed up by murloc and silver hand Pala.. this deck doesn't really handle big boards to good
Congrats for hitting 5! I like the decklist I play a lot of pally (main class) and had a different corpsetaker pally that was not bad (didn't hot 5 though).
As said above I'm not fond of Zola I think Tirion would do a better job in that deck list (late-game + synergy with Corpsetaker).
In any case tremendous job to hit high rank with homebrew 👌
Thanks a lot :) I hope I can take the list even further but right now I'm kinda stuck in 5.
Tyrion is an interesting suggestion as well. It could improve the matchups against aggro decks a bit but I fear especially against controllocks and jade druids you lose out more on the combo potential of Zola. Also in the current meta I guess he'll fall pray to a lot of silences.
I'm kinda interested what the next rotation/ expension might bring for the deck. It's loosing no cards and maybe there are some nice 1- drops and a potential better fit than zola.
Edit: Oh wait damn i just realized it's loosing rallying blade. I better get some good weapons next expension
Update for March season: I must admit i haven't played the deck much atm since its rather weak to swarm decks and all i'm facing is murloc and dude paladin right now.
Sticking with Combo Priest for now to get my first time legend (works awesome against Aggro palas and cubelocks currently rank 2)
As soon as i get legend i'll try and see how far i'll get with the deck there :D
I just hit 5 with a homebrew deck of mine.

I recommend adding spiteful summoner qnd an archivist if u haven't already. I don't rly like the zola tho.

Interested in decklist.

I'm at work right now. I'll put it up as soon as I'm home
So here it is, it might look a bit wacky at first glance but it really works and has a lot of funny combos to abuse.
If there is interest i can write up a bit on specific match-ups and how to mulligan/play it.
