I just received my "Your Month in Hearthstone" Mail. While I think it is a pretty good Idea in general, I don't like how hard they are trying to make me look good.
Example: I pretty much played only priest or rogue on standard ladder during the entire season and reached rank six. At one point, I played maybe about 10 games of wild with priest to test an iteration of an old deck of mine. I was rank 23 at that point and therefore had a pretty good winrate. My "Month in HS" Mail now told me that I reached rank 6 in standard while I had a win streak of 7 games in Wild and won 75% of my games with priest in Wild mode. The month before that it told me that I won around 80% of my paladin games AGAINST ROGUE. At the same time it tells me my overall win count but nothing about my losses.
I am seriously asking you: Am I the only one who does not want to be sugarcoated by giving me only nice stats? I would love to see how I did with each class in each mode, maybe even across different match-ups but I don't need to be told the best ratio their database was able to come up with. The same tendency can be observed in schools or childrens sport competitions, where they don't take score anymore to avoid having a loser at the end of the day. I think we can deal with disappointment and even a month with bad result can serve as motivation to be better in the next one.
Mails are always like that... But it's better to receive some that none at all. I would love improved stats to see how I play... They said some time ago that this was a beta-mail, that would eventually have more info.
For those that are not receiving it, you have to check on battlenet to allow them to send you mails.
I'm okay with this "Let's pick only positive stats for you". Those numbers for win streaks and win % even surprise me more often than not, eg 80% paladin wins in ranked last month :O
I'd like to have more stats in game. The mails are okeyish but they show random sugarcoated stats. I want all my stats without having to rely on external softwares.
Blizzard should make a way to see much more detailed stats in game. The mail is just a feel good thing without any context. My mail said I toped at rank 2 in standart, which is fine. I did however also highlight that I had a win streak of 18 and a 79% win rate with paladin in wild. considering that I have not played super many wild games overall this seams a little irrelevant. Would rather have a more detailed breakdown of the format I pay the most
Does anyone understand what the Arena Knockout count means?
I don't really get how this is an additional info to your wins. Shouldn't you knock out one person everytime you win after having two losses already? So is the knockout count 0 when you go 12-1? I just don't really get it :D
I’ve never seen that mail. Do you have to opt in or simply check spam?
If you have the "Don't receive updates from Blizzard." selected in your account settings you won't receive the email. I had no idea it existed for the longest time either until one day my friend was telling me the stats they told him and I was like "What are you talking about?". Then I went and opt'd to receive updates and I now get it every month like clockwork. Also, as others have stated, double check your Spam folder as well.
I've gotten one for the past few months now and I like it, although it is a little pandering when you have a busy month and didn't rank far or play often, like I did last month. Showing win rates of 85% vs a certain class when you played it 6-7 times all month (and all those were favorable) is a bit empty for a congratulations email.
What I do like about it is it's a little reminder that there are many ways to measure success in Hearthstone. Maybe last month was your first time ever reaching Rank 5. Good job! Maybe it was your longest winstreak ever. That's awesome! Perhaps your overall winrate with an unfavored class like Hunter or Warrior was 60%+. Awesome! It's easy to feel tilted and forget that you're getting better with every match, and those little statistics - irrelevant as they can be at times - can be a nice reminder of what you did accomplish even if you didn't hit legend.
Personally, it's interesting to me but nothing vital to my experience. It's like a consolation prize whether you hit your personal goals or not.

Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
I like getting these email. I think I've been getting them since November. I remember seeing October stats but not one for September. I got mine like a week ago so kinda weird your just now getting yours! However I would like to see more stats. I also have noticed they show these ridiculously high winrates against classes you know aren't good. Well of course I had an 87% winrate against warrior! lol
I wish they made a page like they did the Armory page for WoW where we could see the decks that people currently have saved and see stats (more in depth stats than even HS replay). But I doubt they will do this as it hasn't even been mentioned as a possible idea by Team 5.
I am still getting these emails and they are nice to have but I they do not arrive every month and I cannot figure out what the rules are. Also the mail shows how much stats on a player Blizzard has and uses - it would be lovely to have some access to it - similar to a WoW character page.
To all who don't recive emails, there was a field to check (at some point of installation or creating an account) if you want to recive advertisments from Blizzard to your email, if you don't get emails, you didn't check this field or your emails are in spam.
2 minutes of advertising: If you want to see all stats, you can use HSDeckTracker or something similar. For me those feelgood letters are totally fine.

All cards are balanced, but some cards are more balanced than others.

I coincidentally found it in my spam folder a few months back. Had to click "no spam" several times until it wasn't put in there anymore.

Just checked my mail to see if i received one of those mails, apparently i had a win streak of 20 games in the Arena last month, that's nice :D

I quite like the emails, though they are very sugarcoated as you say.
I wonder what the most underwhelming stat anyone has gotten.
From my last email I have the following as I only dungeon run for quests these days and just concede when it gets to 5 or 6 to restart.
Wow!!! :p
