I fucking hate mage with a passion. Hate them in Ranked, Arena, and now Duels. Fucking annoying class. Just constantly freezes, chucks burn at your face and pulls win out of their asses from a losing position thanks to bullshit RNG cards. And people think aggro is the most degenerate...
People (if you can call them that) who play net deck Face decks on day 1 of the new expansion in casual mode need to go see a shrink. Either that or not play this game if you're here to just gold farm and suck the fun out of the game (which btw is alot worse now) yet these cunts still play 1 year old decks. LIKE C'MON at least play fucking Zoo or something, the deck got lots of good cards that are cheap to craft! I'd take that deck over any other net deck any fucking day of the week right now.
Lothraxion, ugh, what a gross card. It's a 1 of, and it can make or break a game if a player draws it (or doesn't).
Playing my DMH control warrior in wild, versus a player playing dude paladin (though not odd paladin, which is the clear wild choice - so very likely budget). He gets coin Loth on turn 4, and is just playing very average dude spells. Meanwhile, I can't draw Brawl, Warpath, or hit the AoE hero power off of Dr Boom. So the game basically boils down to one player hitting a 1-of, and the other player not hitting any out of 4 cards and whiffing on a few rotations of hero power.
I think this may be it for me. They keep adding play modes that celebrate the fact that there is nothing at all random in the game. Every card is perfect and on curve. Exact lethal every game. Battlegrounds is a joke so I won't even get into that (even though the same AI that plays that version on its own is the same that runs ZTG, controls the card draw, etc). Control is an illusion in this game. The outcomes are as predetermined as pro wrestling - just less entertaining.
I made a 22/22 Edwin on turn 5 and he never got to attack because mage has freeze every turn. Fuck ray of frost and fuck mage. Maybe I should uninstall the game because if I can't win even when I highroll then there's really no point in playing at all. What should I play for? To give my opponents' the game of their life?
Priest running... god, not even a cohesive strategy. Some sort of greedy, value build. What's bullshit is the randomness involved. They're playing some Elekk cuteness or whatever. They drop it on turn 3 - I kill it. Do the 0 mana get 2 creatures back card on turn 4, play it again, kill it. Play their second on turn 5, can't kill this one. Grave Rune - annoying, but ultimately manageable.
Over the course of the next 10 turns, they draw 3 Grave Runes (cast on subsequent Elekks thanks to Seance) without a single bit of card drawbeing played. Not only that, but I can't draw Doctor Boom or Jepetto (for my own draw/value) to save my life, despite actually having some relatively decent card draw.
They ultimately got out Lyra, Grave Rune, that 4 mana summon a 7 mana corrupt card - and when that gave them Beast Seller, I was fucking done. Can't fight against that much good luck, no matter how hodge-podge their decklist actually is.
Oh, and let's not forget the Kel'thuzad off the 2-creature Resurrect Stone, despite a myriad of junk creatures being played aswell.
Edit: most annoying part is not accepting the friend request. I might be able to sleep at night if they at least told me they knew how lucky their draws were. :-P
Also, fucking unnerfed Raza. Just played a highlander priest with a pretty hodge-podge mix, but due to Raza + Shadowreaper (plus my inability to roll the armor hero power), ended up squeaking out the win. Fucking hate losing to shit decks that include one actual competitive combo to make up for the rest of their shittiness.
Quest Shaman (Them) vs Control/Fatigue Shaman (Me)
I know I shouldn't be salty because I won but it is day 2 of the expansion and you cannot get a little bit of time from people to experience something new.
My opponent and I have already invested quite a bit of time into the match and for the first time I've been able to assemble C'Thun. The amount of BS I had to go through to get to this point was insane. I had to outlive 3 Dragonqueen Alexstrasza's and all the 1 mana Dragons that followed. I had to outlive several full boards that threatened lethal. I had to outlive a double Battlecry Zeph.
The final moments? My opponent just entered fatigue and had 8 cards remaining in hand and is at 20+ health with no board. I have 7 cards in hand and 2 cards in deck WITH Sphere of Sapience equipped meaning that C'Thun was GUARENTEED to be drawn and my opponent straight up concedes before I get an option to draw something.
Again, I know I shouldn't be salty because I won but again it is DAY TWO of a new set release and I'm pissed that I couldn't experience something new because my opponent couldn't give me another 30 seconds after they already committed 20+ minutes to the match.
After a number of games against Warlocks, I can say that as a Control player I do not like being on the receiving end of Tickatus. Feels like I'm being punished for enjoying slow Control decks. There just isn't anything fun about not being able to play my own cards and watching them get destroyed while I cannot do anything about it.
