All yall nibbles is mad and i'm worried about real shit. Fuck all that, i just buy the new shit so im not behind. Sorry for trippin but I keep it mad real.
Ugh; have had two games this evening with my wild Dead Man's Hand warrior deck. At low ranks, because most of my decks are casual and keep me around there.
Game 1: old quest priest (deathrattle one). Mostly garbage deathrattles in the deck, though a single Carnivorous Cube and two of the 4/8 deathrattle=destroy minions pull weight. I'm forced to use a Brawl earlier than I would've liked when Zephrys had a sad about the deathrattles (figured with the opponent having 4 minions he'd offer me Twisting Nether despite the deathrattles - nope, apparently Mind Control is a better option >.>). Opponent plays N'Zoth, and of course my second Brawl is in the bottom 4 cards of my deck.
Game 2: opponent is playing dragon warrior, with some pretty weak and off-synergy cards. But they get 3 cards off of Wrathion (to that point about half the cards I had seen were non-dragon), Ysera's Awakening off of a single Ysera tick (to clear the board), and bloody Deathwing, Dragonlord off of a single Dragonhatcher tick.
I guess this is Hearthstone where if you include enough quality cards in your deck you can roll high against anyone, but Jesus it sucks sometimes.
Really got to hand it to you Blizzard, you made a game where we can all spend some time having fun, buying cards, buying more cards, and getting REKT several times by braindead aggro decks where the games are over by turn 5. Not getting to play almost any cards and just watch opponent ignore everything you do on board, spamclicking face with spells, heropower and minions feels so intelligent, it's almost like chess, but with cards. Yeah, we need aggrodecks in the game, people wouldn't want to actually think about their turns. It's noobfriendly, that's for sure, good job on including the noobs. I'm a noob. Turn 1, arcaneshot face. Isn't that a great play? So, pls Blizzard, don't stop making annoying aggrocards and never give up on those smorc decks, and pls never change the gameplay in any way. This game is about having FUN isn't it, I'm having FUN! FUN, FUN, FUN! And btw your animations, discover algorythms, searching opponent algorythms and mulligan is on point. No need to polish or update engine. It's just a fun card game, with a PRO scene and netdecking community. Trust Blizzard, they have provided so much content over the years. Buy cards and keep supporting them. Why question anything? We have all we want. Why demand something more of a game you have invested $$$, and continue to invest in if you want to keep playing. Cardpacks with random outcome and "pitty timer" here i come! Hearthstone <3
Just played as reno-mage against quest-druid. The druid played ysera into floop. One of the portals was vanilla nozdormu. Then more portals followed. For some reason the portal animations counted into my time-limit after his turn ended. My turn started and instantly ended. The druid then was able to just go all in face and win.
And rogue is a problem *again*. Funny, I heard some youtuber say that the rogue GALAKROND is the most balanced of them all which is of course, complete bullshit. Between galakrond and toggwaggle, rogue can get so many free cards. Who thought giving rogue that much access to free shit was a good idea? Add to that the stupid potential to make boards over and over as well as burst from 15+. Rogue as a class is stupid
But if you play the cancer rogue deck you will mysteriously find that you magically land in the ideal 50% win rate target that Blizzard has stated time and time again is the goal. There is nothing random about this game.
Wow, you mean that if you play the deck that is actually good and optimized you win more than with homebrewed garbage!? :D :D :D
I mean if you play any decent net deck you'll wind up at about a 50% win rate. Which Blizzard has stated is the goal.
So what is the problem? If you play any decent deck in ANY card game you'll probably have a 50% win rate. Otherwise they wouldn't be decent decks.

Because it has nothing to do with your deck or how you play. The game runs on autopilot. Over time it averages you out at about 50% win rate. If I wanted to play something that I had no control over with a 50% win rate I'd flip a coin.
Blizzard's public definition of "Variance": Due to the nature of random encounters you will sometimes face certain decks in clusters at times, which can sometimes feel like you're having a bad luck streak when you face a deck that counters you several times in a row. However, over time, you will see that you play the entire range of the meta as it exists! Just give it time! Play more games!
Actual definition of "Variance": No matter what deck you play, and no matter how many games you play, Blizzard's deck analyzer (the very same one that helps you complete your deck optimally) will ensure you face hard counters 50% of the time and "normal" matches the other 50% of the time. If the deck analyzer can't figure out direct counters to your deck because your deck has limited meta data, you may have "win-streaks" for considerable lengths of time due to the system not knowing what your counters are. Play long enough and lose a few times to one particular archetype and you will start seeing it over and over and over again until it balances out at 50%, resulting in MASSIVE losing streaks of 20+ games straight.

Solution: Log off and play a different game that isn't engineered simply to keep you playing as long as possible. Sure, if you play 500 games a month, you can be Legend too!
I have given up on ranked for this month. I have taken 2 decks from rank 5 to rank 1, only to hit a massive losing streak taking me back several ranks. I can't stomach it anymore

This is why LifeCoach quit the game. He said "Hearthstone no longer rewards thought or strategy, only grinding." Like you said - play enough games and you'll hit legend.

Same. I've made to Rank 2 just to get pushed back all the way to 5 (including a 11 game losing streak)
Motivation hit rock bottom, playing all day and still not reaching L isn't worth the time nor Energy.

Excellent Analysis, always felt like Matchmaker in Ranked is Scripted.
Blizzard please keep incentivizing highlander decks, it's a good way to counter CANCER AGGRO DECKS.
I'm sorry for my bad english :D
Blizzard nerf Hunter highlander is stupid and they play with the CANCER AGGRO kit with a finisher from Zul'Jin or the new Alexstraza.
HUNTER IS STILL LIKE CANCER IN LATEGAME
All yall nibbles is mad and i'm worried about real shit. Fuck all that, i just buy the new shit so im not behind. Sorry for trippin but I keep it mad real.
Imagine creating dragonqueen Alexstrasza and Zephrys and thinking it's ok. The outcome/swingturns of those 2 cards alone are so PEPEGA.

Charge is bad for the game.
But Infinite Magnetic Charge Turns are JUST fine... FUCK YOU BLIZZARD.
28 FUCKING DMG from MECH'FUCK'A'DINS on Turn 4 ... Ye, too much fun for me today... gonna go read a book or something i guess.

How is it possible for people to highroll this hard in battlegrounds. I often feel like some players had a whole turn more than me.
I have given up on ranked for this month. I have taken 2 decks from rank 5 to rank 1, only to hit a massive losing streak taking me back several ranks. I can't stomach it anymore
You can also build a counter-deck to the deck you keep encountering.
It takes an incel to know an incel
Ok incel
And when you do you will stop encountering those decks.

when all you want to do is try out that new 2 mana card and after 5 games you can't get it in the first 20 cards you play!!! seriously?!
