Guys, please note that the Salt Thread is here for the purpose of getting frustration off your chest and venting your anger in a place designed for it. For that reason, well-thought-out arguments / discussions and considered points are not exactly necessary, nor required. (In this thread)
So, please refrain from directly insulting each other purely for their rant-opinions on here. This doesn't help people who just want to vent, and only creates more friction and arguments.
Expletive-laiden outbursts directed at other players will be removed. Keep it civil out here, folks! Cheers! ;-)
This game just leaves the worst taste in your mouth. Wild ladder facing aggro after aggro deck.
4 even shamen, 11 secret mage, 3 odd rogue, 6 face hunter
decide to switch to odd warrior to punish all of the aggro on the ladder.
9 control warlocks in a row......
yeah.....tell me how the matchmaking is not rigged.
The matchmaking is clearly rigged, as blizzard said they wanted an overall winrate of 50%. That's not a secret actually. Switching your deck according to the matchups that you encounter is a pure waste of time, all you will get is frustration.
So, I'm not responding to any one post, but rather this meme in general that seems to have taken root here about "Blizzard wants a 50% win rate".
Obviously that's true, and that has been true for every card game in the history of man kind, but apparently some folks have taken that quote to mean that they are manipulating which decks get paired against others in service of that goal. I would quote the many, many times that others have illustrated how such a matchmaking function is not necessary to achieve the 50% goal at a population level, but that won't do any good, because these people believe this objective is directed to the individual level.
In other words, obviously they are shooting for a 50% win rate across the population of gaming, in the sense that the idea is you will raise to a level where you are playing equally matched individuals, at which point you will naturally average around 50%. They are NOT shooting for everyone to have the same wins and losses regardless of play, deck selection, etc.
But rather than repeat the obvious truths that fall on deaf ears, I will come to my own personal salt. My salt is, why won't any of you explain how the devious machinations to force everyone into a 50% win rate fail so often for so many people? Why do I (along with many, many others) routinely end a season flirting with 70% win rates, regardless of having played a wide variety of decks at high legend play? How is that possible under your paradigm of how the game is organized? And we aren't talking one season of performance, we are talking about years of consistent play. And no, I'm not a streamer. And no, I'm not a whale spender. So none of those tertiary theories come into play.
I'll wait.
Meanwhile, even more salty am I because today is a sad day. I knew months ago, when Hearthpwn came under new management, that one of my favorite pass times had come to an end.
Kaladin had left the building. He had followed the old team other to that indy website they set up, and thus, I had to make do with second tier salt from the likes of Evil_B and Pathod. No offense to either of those; I'm sure both would agree that they are nowhere near as consistent salt miners as the legendary Shrute/Kaladin.
But, I always consoled myself with the knowledge that I could always pop over to the indy site and read his salt posts if I got desalinized enough. Today, however, I noticed that he seems to have disappeared from the mirror salt thread as well.
It is a sad day for tear drinkers everywhere.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
Anyone playing magic the gathering card game? Since hearthstone has become super toxic and tards just netdecking aggro decks. Was wondering if MTG is any good
also, yes i hate how many mages are in wild right now also...so one of my favorite things to do lately is log onto my other Hearthstone account and get on ranked wild. Then every mage i play against i rope them every round to the very last milisecond, while im doing something else like watching netflix or something.

I didn’t read anything you wrote but you clearly put a lot of effort into it. Did you use your entire smoke break or did you get a chance to eat some fries before retuning to the drive up window?
let people vent. It’s not about you nor is it about “fixing” anyone
Of course that didn't take a full smoke break. How slow do you type?
Since you didn't read anything I wrote, you don't know this, but I'm not fixing anyone. We've already long established the folks who believe that shit aren't fixable.
Stop replying to my salt posts, please.

How can you beat Lich Baz'hial on heroic? She does Alex face, then uses spells like Pyroblast, Fireball and Frost Novas the board so you can't remove her minions either, unless you have removal at hand. Any tips are welcome for when I next face her, lol.
I lost 43 euros on a whim last night betting on justsayian against Monsanto when he was already down 0-1 on a bo3 match. Well he did win the one after that but third match he got wrecked by Shaman.
I don't know why I did that bet. Don't think I will bet on Hearthstone anymore, way too much rng. My CS betting was going pretty good but then I spent most of my winnings on this stupid thing.

That's like betting on professional wrestling matches.

Scorp
Whose fucking cock do I have to suck to get Mage removed from the game?
Do we really still need a learner class full of OP cards for people that are shit?
I perfectly polluted the res pool of a big priest try hard with several deaths of Barnes, a Devilsaur from Tinkmaster Overspark, a Sheep, and a Radiant Elemental. The only big minion is his res pool was The Lich King.
He plays double Resurrect when I had lethal. What does he get? Double Lich King.
that's some bullshit right there.

5 out of my last 6 games in ranked were against Secret Mage, I love the variety!
So fucking sick of people playing t1 decks, especially quest shaman in casual.
Seriously, wtf is your problem? did you get made fun of too much in school? did mommy not love you enough?

Quest rogue. Quest rogue. Quest shaman. Quest rogue. Quest rogue. Quest rogue.
Variety.
