That moment when you're executing your Spectral Pillager OTK just to realize that by not vanishing off the board that randomly generated Mekgineer Thermaplug that the spell hunter got from a random spell that it would cause me to lose due to him proccing after every single one of my Scorp-o-matics were killed (even when his board became full of Leper Gnomes). It was basically like a Nozdormu specifically against my deck.
I would have easily won that game considering almost the entire time he had secrets on the board that I just passed on proccing each turn.
Of the 30+ games I played today, around 60% were against Hunters. And guess what? They played DK Rexxar on turn 6 every single time.
Every.

Time.
Wtf? Hunters are about a 50-50 matchup for Odd Warrior, but playing against a turn 6 DK Rexxar just turns the difficulty level up a notch. It's a miracle I won around 50% of those matchups...
it's because they throw away every card in the mulligan to get it, which if they're going first gives them a 1/5ish chance to get it. Then they have six turns to draw it, which gives them a 1/3ish chance to get it. So that is a pretty decent chance of having it.
Odd warrior is a broken deck, gotta play broken cards to beat it. I'm surprised they lost, I don't usually play much hunter but i've never lost to an odd war after drawing Rexxar in the top half of the deck.
I'm seriosuly considering quitting. Luckily i only bought the small preorder bundle, otherwise i would feel really bad.
Hunter has taken over the game, which is as always, disgusting. No matter what deck i play, it doesnt feel consistent enough. Previously to the nerfs, i climbed to rank 5 with Togwaggle Druid. Now druid is dead, and i've been in rank 5 the last 4 days. No matter i play Odd quest warrior, BSM, Evenlock, any form of Hunter, no matter what i play i cant seem to move past rank 5.
I've noticed the worst part about this game is that feeling of wasted time. Whenever I win, it's fine obviously, but when i lose i just have this feeling of having wasted my time completely. This is the worst part about this game, it's not a good game per se, but it's tremendously addictive. You lose and you rage push the play button again. You keep losing, you keep playing, and in the end you just dont feel satisfied at all.
Games are supposed to entertain and be fun. This one doesnt even entertain me anymore. No matter the opponent, every battle feels uphill, the joy for the victories lasts too little while the salt from losses lasts for too long, frustration and dissapointment are the predominant feelings at the end of a play session. This is not supposed to be this way.
Right now, there's a double xp event at SWTOR, which is relaxing and enjoyable for me. I should take a look at the steam sales too. I guess i'm out till the next expac, or maybe forever. I somehow have the feeling that leaving this game for good is the right choice to make.
Pre-RR I had some high hopes but now...I'm really not sure how I feel about the game. Seeing HOTS getting gutted, quick fire (and un-announced nerfs) to the game and so many developmental staff leaving in the last year...where is this game going?
Why kill off Druid Dominance to let hunters rule the roost.
I appreciate there's a meta game but not all of us have time to watch top streamers, study meta snapshots and the like. I don't think that the game is that expensive but it's become rather inaccessible due to requisite knowledge needed before you even load the exe.
And for the "Git-Gud" merchants, suggestions welcome. I'm not a world beater for the deck crafting side of the game but nor am I I that bad. Creativity get's stifled by the good old Ctrl-V mechanics we have via the internet.
Hopefully I'll get some enjoyment from the game again.
Druid was killed off to please the majority of players, as most people cried about it
This post is equal parts salt and pepper, so I flipped a coin.
I played a "Silentstorm" today, and it wasn't Kaladin. I wanted to die.
I look out upon the howling masses crying for the blood of hunters, and I wonder . . . why don't you play a deck with a high win rate against hunters? People have the audacity to talk about "all the strategy" being taken out of hearthstone, and you can't respond to the most obvious meta shift since the printing of Grim Patron? Dust off your duskbreakers, fire up your Fire Plume, and learn what I thought we all learned from Magic the Gathering at age 6. When everyone is playing the same deck, play something that beats it.
As a corollary to the hunterstone madness, I do so love the buyer's remorse for the druid nerfs.
In any case, I suppose this seems a bit more pepper than salt, so I'll conclude with traditional fare. Kripp made a list of the top 10 legendaries by winrate, and six of them were hunter or exclusively hunter-played neutral (Subject 9). And I know what's coming. The teeming hordes will hold the words of the great Kripperino as gospel and guess what we need?????? MORE NERFS!
Kill me now.

No - the correct response to a ladder full of broken hunter decks is not to try to netdeck some deck with a "high success rate" against hunter - it's to resolve to NEVER give Blizzard money for packs while they REMAIN so shit at making this game fun or playable after 5 fucking years - and to help me decide what is worse: a bucket of vomit, a bucket of shit, the fuckwits at Blizzard giving us this cancer, or the sad, sad fucks playing hunter variants on ladder.
For me game is unplayable now. Hunter absolutely destroys everything and kills game. DK Rexxar turns aggro deck into control deck its nonsense. Yes i know its salt thread, but seriously game is un awful stance right now.
DK Rexxar is 8 mana, that way maybe every hunter deck doesnt have it.
Spell Hunter auto loses to Odd Warrior. You could boost it to 10 mana and hunter will still run it because at least you have a win rate against that match-up.

I play Odd Quest Warrior, so the Ragnaros hero power always gives me a decent chance as long as I save all my removals and silences wisely. But man, it's absolutely stressful playing against a turn 6 Rexxar. It's almost like a death sentence.

delete the game if you're going to bm someone with "well played" right before you play the topdeck lethal in casual.

The beast pool for rexxar is so ridiculous, each one has lifesteal rush and poison and.or charge. fucking dumb.
Honestly it should be 10 mana. Its hero power is nuts.
Doesnt change the fact you are an arrogant so and so.
