Hope they nerf druid next week. Standard has become so dull and BG´s is not worth paying for. First time in years I will quit HS for a while again. Hell, it even made me play and enjoy mercenaries at this point more than standard.
This new miracle rogue list with the coin deathrattle package gives me headaches. How can you HOF the old edwin and then proceed to create a strategy that allows for even more consistent non games? The effect of the location should count as a buff period. Most decks simply can't deal with those numbers on turn 4-5. Sometimes you also need to deal with a huuuuge weapon on top of that.
It's also ridiculous how some classes get left in the dirt for many months or even years (priest) but rogue gets almost immediately buffed once it falls off a bit. And no, it's not just rogue but the devs clearly have class preferences and it has an impact on their game design which sucks for everyone who doesn't like to play these classes.
The only times my opponent's Theotar hasn't hit my Denathrius all morning is when I don't have it in hand. Constantly losing otherwise unlosable games to opponents hitting 33-50% chances, making all other decisions irrelevant throughout the game. Utter horseshit.
Leaving Big Priest as it is in Wild is honestly just beyond my understanding. People have complained about the theme of the deck forever and it's had continued support. There is no fun for the opposing deck and it's the majority of my games even in casual mode now because of how easy it is to pilot and the absurd power of it.
Ugh, every time I get a somewhat insane build going in Battlegrounds, I get pitted against someone who has an even more insane build. I'm tired of getting second place all the time, I just want that legendary quest out of the way dammit.
I swear to God I've never seen a card so toxic, so rage-inducing and so unhealthy for the game like Theotar having played this game since Naxx wasn't even released. A nerf for this card is not enough for this game, this card must be banned forever in Standard, Wild, and whatever game mode is available. This card is the absolute king of lousy design, non-interactive gameplay, and conclusive demonstration that you don't need skill in the slightest to play this game.
The meta is awful. Absolutely terrible. There are these 2 control decks that cover about anything (druid and mage) . At 40 hp they usually have enough time to deal with aggression. The only 2 aggressive decks are board based (implock and druid). There is no burst deck except quest hunter. Combo decks have been killed off by theotar. Are we supposed to either all in on aggro and vomit our hand, or play the theotar vs theotar game? It ia really lame, if a lot of people agree, it means they need to rework theotar ao that it only targeta decks. Or even better yet, just delwte the text.
Game is dead. Just haven't had fun playing it for a while now. Its been a few absolute trash sets in a row now. Trash metas. They take FOREVER to implement nerfs. Probably because they're too busy trying to figure out ways to make money instead of actually putting out a good product.
The one good mode they had left was Battlegrounds and they even managed to ruin that too.
Thanks Devs! And thanks to all the people who hired you who thought you'd be good at your jobs. Just a domino effect of stupid. R.I.P. Blizzard gaming...hope you guys "have phones" cause you're gonna need them to call the unemployment office soon.
Yeah, that's the thing. Theotar is nuts because it's the only way to actually get rid of Denathrius, and Denathrius terminates everything, so it has to be Theotar'd. If the meta revolved less about holding that super OP card for ages until it auto-completes the game, it would be a lot more fair.
Of course, it's still a stinker if you happen to play quest priest or something like that, but at least would become a simple combo counter, not a "everything that is not aggro" counter.
Theotar is Denathrius’ ying/yang. It’s necessary because it’s the best disruption there is to counter and eventual, unsurmountable OTK. If there wasn’t Denathrius, they would be no need for Theotar, which is likely why they designed one to counter the other. In that sense, games often end up being about two cards and two outcomes: steal Denathtrius? Win. Fail to steal? Lose. Although you can increase your chances by playing Theotar at the right moment, it’s still luck.
Ramp Druid auto-win against control otherwise. If you don’t play aggro, you need to be able to be able to tech Denathtrius.
I thought they wrapped up the content for next patch last Friday, shouldn’t be too long before the long awaited nerf for Denathtrius. Having a card with so little setup and major end up game impact is mind blowing.
I’d say not having to rely on a single card for victory is good design to be honest. Adapting to various situations in order to win. A 40 cards format requires more skill to play efficiently.
My Mage opponents in arena: Play a deck full of Blizzards, Flamestrikes and Deathbornes to blow up every board I could possibly develop. Me when I try to pull a Mage deck off: Get offered a single Blast Wave as the only AOE in my deck.
By the way, out of the four arena matches I played today, all were Mage vs. Mage. Isn't it fun and diverse? But who's to blame when such a ridiculously overpowered card as Nightcloak Sanctum is in the rotation? If they won't nerf it in standard mode (which they should), they should at least ban that card from arena. 76% mulligan winrate, enough said.
Fuck Theodor!! That card is beyond broken. Lost countless games due to that retarded card!!
Have yet to top 4 in bg’s since the new patch. And every ko is out of absolute nowhere. Against pay only skins and heros. Yup hs is a complete game

Good for them! Death by Denathrius is awful to experience.

Yes you are right! It seems he always hit Sire Denathrius. Anyway the Game is only about these two cards

Ceterum censeo classum magi esse delendam.
Despite the nerf, I want to reassure everyone that Mage can still ping 7+ each turn damage with its hero power (being on the receiving end).
Cool nerfs.
Hunter and Aggro Druid still reign supreme at a 60% win rate.
Devs are mouth breathers. Bye.
As much as i love some of the nerfs, as long as we have theotar, combo decks are unplayable. Please fix.
We've had them all over the place for the last year or so. Some time on the bench won't hurt.
i guess control decks generally being nerfed makes theotar much less of an issue
