I was having some fun with a non face, minion and board based hunter deck, but shaman has ruined it, thanks to snowfall guardian.
Might as well concede every time I play against shaman, because after they play Snowfall guardian, my minions will never attack again. Wide board, big minions, this card solves every problem.
Then they play the parrot, sometimes with Brann, and that's it, I will take 40 damage in the next three turns, as it's impossible to kill a 25/25 parrot with frozen minions.
This card needs a very heavy nerf. Make it freeze itself, freeze two or three random enemy minions, cost 10 mana, I don't know. Freezing your own board is not even a real disadvantage, as they don't care that their other weak minions are frozen, most of the time they play it in an empty board anyway.
Back to face hunter, I guess. They can't freeze spells, yet...
Tell me you are a ****** without saying that you are a ******.
You think these two cards should exist in the game unironically:
Can we maybe not use the r---**rd word? It's 2022. Let's be better.
Aside from that, I agree with the OP. I think cards that completely and repeatedly lock an opponent are toxic to the game.
I know the meta is still settling and people complain a lot about druids -- but they are in upper middle as far as win rates go at the moment. Dominating classes are Hunter, Warlock, Shaman, and Mage with druid fifth. I hope they buff Demon Hunter, Paladin, and Warrior as well as toning down oppressive cards -- druid included if needed. I main a druid but I will always accept nerfs if it means a healthier game.
I agree I want Demon Hunter and specially Pala to rise again. But seeing the oppressive kind of cards they have to play against is a huge task. Either you face stomped by a hunter with the wild seeds, having to face a 2 mana give a minion +5/5 and 2 mana draw 7 cards, being constantly frozen by a mage, or shaman punishing you for playing for the board instead of ignoring it. That's why I love naga priest this expansion. It has excellent new cards like Pelagos, the location, the 2/5 for 4 mana that summons another one, and you feel rewarded for playing for the board, which was supposed to be the concept Team 5 wanted for this expansion to be. But with cards like that all that is thrown down the bin. And using the starfish is not even the solution to it. I hope the miniset and the nerfs do something for God's sake.
I truly hate the Hearthstone community. A bunch of whiners about every card released. Tell them they're wrong and maybe the cards are not so busted as they think they are or there are ways to counter the cards/ decks they cry about and they will start insulting you.
Not really as bad as the LoL community, I know there are far worse communities, but I don't understand why the Hearthstone community is always deemed as a nice one. I've only had bad experiences with it: in-game BM, post-game hate speech, insults, arguments ended in insults, arrogance etc.
@Yolento I just played the Murloc Control Shaman archetype and -- it really is ridiculous. I had a 50/50 Insatiable Devourer from synergy with the Brilliant McCaw. Granted, I was playing against another shaman and we kept going back and forth stealing minions but even so...The deck has great board control with its freeze mechanic. It does well in early, mid, and late game, and the card draw was excellent.
The deck's win rates outperform their opponent in every match. It is weakest against Evolve Shaman with a 48.5% win rate against that type. Every other match is above 50%. Average Win Rate = 58.5 over 5,200 games.
I hope a balance patch makes this stuff better. I may take a break until the meta settles.

(Thank you for your comment abour that word, it's really tiring seeing it so often in this thread..)
I extremely agree with the fact that snowfall elemental should literally just not exist; even in a complete vacuum, that's an extremely toxic card and strictly unhealthy for the game regardless of any other parameter.
Someone said something about this somewhere though, that the real problem isn't as much that one, as it is really the parrot. A snowfall elemental is bad and hateful, but still fairly doable to deal with or play around; even two can be ok, but the fact that they can literally just do it 4 turns in a row, often more because of amalgam, that is the main issue because you have almost no chance of not ending up board locked at the 3rd one. And moreover, the parrot can also copy literally any other battlecry such as denathrius or shudderwock or anything like this, which means that this one card will always, regardless of the state of the game, be potentially game breaking, especially in wild, and will always limit design space, even on neutral cards. They're both terrible cards and both should genuinely just get banned all together, but the parrot is actually by far the worst of the two i think
So, who the fuck goes into casual mode with a fine tuned netdeck version of ping skeleton mage? Seriously, there must be something seriously wrong with your head or did you forgot to take your medicin this morning?????
This is a perfect example of how balanced this game is. There is nothing wrong at all. This is just a druid doing what he does best! We all love druid! Druid is not broken :-) show some loooove
It's amazing how developers can make new expansion and reduce diversity at the same time. You play against Mage, Shaman, Druid - you're killed by Denathrius. Great job.
And I want every mage in existence to jam their Archamge Runes up their asses. I am tired of opponents successfully relying on casting that spell 10 times in a row to win.

I will say i did that recently, personally, and only realized at the end of the game that it was casual because i forgot to swap back to ranked and it made me feel very guilty so if it was against you i'm very sorry 👀💦

Nice reply! Haha! I forgive you! :-)) But it is getting so annoying! I face soo damn many perfect netdecks in casual at the moment. My homebrews gets steamrolled.. :/
That's enough HS for me until they nerf stuff heavily. I've lost to Denathrius every game from last 15 games despite having Mad Duke, Vol'jin and Mutanus just so that I could remove that shit card, and now a Shaman playing Denathrius + Parrot + Parrot and Brann and the other dwarf somewhere in the middle broke the camel's back. I don't remember ever uninstalling Hearthstone due to how cancerous a meta has been.
Such a shame. Most of the cards are fun, but every deck is running Daddy D which I hate so much. Hopefully there's nerfs soon so I can play again!
Decided to give NA a try for a change, wtf are people doing spamming emotes at Bronze 5?? Yay, you won a game at the sess-pool end, go you!

From 0 board to this randomly

Can we hall of fame Guff or what?

Why the fucking hell is casual mode full of that retarded ping skeleton mage deck!!! Shit, there are

I swear this community is most toxic in history. Everyone BMs everytime.
Holy heavens! They finally realised Guff is toxic (only in duels, but anyways)!
Thank god, that asshole's effect stands even after hero card swiping, so even if they change at 11 mana, they keep gaining.
There's nothing funny about a 20 mana Devout Xyrella.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Remember when you could play minions without them all being frozen? Those were the days.
I swear this game hates me. My arena opponent puzzle boxed into cenarion ward and got grommash, then grommash got criminal lineuped.
