Any good pool hustler knows that the art is in making the game close. When you or your opponent draw perfect card after perfect card, there is no doubt that it is by design. The developers should spend less time on new expansions and more time tweaking the programming to make people think that there is at least a modicum of randomness left in the game.
Make it close. Make people think that they have a chance. Every game doesn't have to be a one sided beat down. Every game doesn't have to end with a royal flush on the river. One out game winners top decked with 19 cards left doesn't have to be the norm. One doesn't have to go on a 5 game losing streak after every 5 game winning streak.
I don't know what the turnover rate is on the development team but there has to be someone left that remembers the game back when it was still good. Back before thought and strategy had been removed to make it the mindless autopilot YouTube video of a game that it is today. I'm begging those people - speak up.
Let's not exaggerate too much, the game always had an autopilot mode, it's just that people needed to figure it out back then, but just take a look at Classic now, no """random""" shit but the games are always the same, even if not controlled by Blizzard like modern games seems to be.
If you look back at old videos of the "pro" streamers, players like Lifecoach would take almost the entire turn trying to decide what card to play. Now perfect cards come on curve so there is literally nothing to think about. Which is the reason Lifecoach stopped playing. He said that the game no longer rewarded strategy, only grinding. And that was a while ago.
Rubbish, absolute rubbish, stop lying . Mods can a person get away with this.
That's actually pretty accurate from my experience...the only thing rubbish is you calling people liars for expressing their point of view about what is feels fake and manipulated about a digital card game.
If you have played real card games it's pretty easy to detect fake algorithms HS.
Take a deck of cards, cut them down to 30, deal 4-5 to yourself. Now pick some you don't want, reshuffle them and redeal them to yourself.
You will see how unlikely it is to have any come back to your hand. In Hearthstone I have these cards show up more than 80% of the time if I am on a Winatreak. That's fake randomness that never occurs in reality so yes what he is saying is true....and this is easily measurable in Hearthstone.
Could we remove Tickatus and all other cards that single-handedly carry classes from the game
It would be better if they nuked all classes and started from scratch since Demon Hunter broke the class balance, and there is so much Power creep, rng, and imbalance that this game is literally unplayable from any strategic card-building perspective beyond 100% aggro whatsoever.
They just had some major sets rotate out,, and it's still beyond fu**ed.

Disagree totally, I have played this game long enough since beta to know it is not rigged. You have to be a special case of stupid to still try and believe that. Problem is people he conviently forget to mention when they have good draws or top deck a card. It has happened to me many times. Here they just act like spoilt brats, when things dont go their way

There is a thing called an uninstall button. Nobody cares that you are quitting Heathstone
Lets recreate this game as tabletop or recode it as an open source fork so we bypass bli$$ards "rng" servers so everyone can check the code and i bet all my belongings, we will witness TOTALLY different matches.
With the new "Can't attack trend" why isn't Ship's Cannon and Skybarge already can't attack minions? They have strong effect anyway and are stupid turrets.

That's what I always thought too. Cards like Ship's Cannon, Skybarge and Dragonbane depict tools rather than combatants or living creatures, so it's logic that they shouldn't be able to attack. Ship's Cannon in particular REALLY could see a change, because it's one of the dumbest and strongest cards even printed, it basically rewards your aggressive plays with... more aggression. It makes no fucking sense.
Also, you say it's a new trend for the "can't attack" minions, but in reality it's just lack of consistency, take a look at Blackhowl Gunspire. It's a legendary card with a big restriction and yet it's objectively worse than the Cannons.

I love you Dreadsteed, I will never disenchant you!
Alright, who had the brilliant idea of not only printing a cheap card that can literally decide who wins or loses the game at the spot but also making it so you can run multiple copies of it?
Yes, I'm talking about cards like Ice Block, Evasion, Time Out! and to a lesser extent Cloak of Shadows, cards that are strong enough to make people quit playing and calling it a day, because it's not only frustrating but it also feels like you got cheated on. This type of effect should be attached to a high mana cost and a duplicate restriction, like Valeera the Hollow.
Agreed. Even when druids are oppressive I tend to brush it off and carry on to the next game, but now with this card that costs 6, mills 5-15 cards, and places an 8/8 body on the board it just makes me hate hearthstone and the company altogether.
When tickatus was announced, that was the first card I said oh that one's getting nerfed in a week tops.
That was what.. four months ago? Warlock decks can be decent enough without destroying your opponent's deck. Not just win condition.. DECK! How is that even fun for the player? Are they compensating for something in real life?
I've contemplated quitting the game until the card is nerfed to be honest.

So what you're saying is these cards should be flat-out unplayable because that's what the rogue DK is...? Why don't you just say it out right instead of waffling?

I'm saying that the effects are far too strong for how easy you can activate them. I used Valeera the Hollow as a comparison precisely because of that, it's a 9 mana legendary that has an immediate effect weaker than the other cards I mentioned, despite being often used with the same purpose. Do you really think it's fair not being able to play around your opponent's cards even if you wanted to? How many games do you think were saved because Ice Block or Time Out! just flat out ignored all of the opponent's plays?
Yes, I'd very much like for this type of card to not exist/be unplayable.

So what's the solution to this cancer that is secret mage now? I think I've played 10 mages in a row with this exact same deck.
Just be lucky not to get matched against retarded warlock with like 34234534534535 singel removals, 423424 board clears, and 4x5 wasted cards. Oh and jaradingbums without healthpenalty, because it woudl really suck for the warlock to lose, after he denied all your cards... Oh and endless heal, how stupid from me to ignore that.

You can say whatever the fuck you want about Tickatus and the other 28 removal/board clear cards that Warlocks are running, but I swear to God I'll commit some atrocities if Lord Jaraxxus somehow gets changed after four years of being obsolete because people keep complaining about the strong endgame Control Warlock has.

Fuck the retarded devs in charge the balance of this game.

This 1000%.
Not only the devs but their greedy predatory corporate handlers as well.

That nerf really did the trick! Deck of Lunacy Mage is still stupid fucking unfun to play against. WELL DONE!
Stick to posting rants about the game, and not posting nonsense about other posters. Enough is enough.

Speaking of priest... Damn this is boring to play against...
I feel like I'm getting haunted by control warlock... having to play against the exact same deck in standard and wild is so weird...
