10 matches...8 mages and 2 paladins.Its hard to believe theres so many bandwagon unoriginal douchebags out there.Anyone with any kind of spine or class would have moved on by now.I Had both Lunacy and secret paladin deck(annoying fking pin) the first week of the expansion and dusted both of them.Grow some balls and class and do the same fking pssies.I literally could not take using pin 50 times in a match on play. Mage just felt broke as hell and i couldnt even feel good about my wins with 10 free draws and spells in a row.Now im trapped in a different hell, Waiting for an opponent to play pssy pin 50 times in a match and feel like hes crafty for for doing it.Or my other hell, waiting to die while my mage opponent draws lunacy 90% of the time in opening hand and free draws and spell use 80% of the time with game breaking spells.GG shit show called blizzard coksuckers.Rant over :)

How do you beat secret paladin? How is this deck not nerfed into oblivion? The tempo from the sword is just insane.

Well guess what we are gonna match you against a full armor warrior, a class it's not even played in this meta . Take that, lose a star. Now face this Heal priest with 30 healing cards in his deck. Oh , lost two stars? Mission acomplished, now you can go back to the paladin/mage grind for another week before you are allowed to hit legend, have fun xDD

Anyway, lost to a Paladin. Blizzard had two expansions to nerf Pen Flinger, and 3 expansions to do something about all the nonsense in Libram Paladin. Instead they just chose to do... nothing. For like almost a year. Good job.

Thought and skill were removed from the game a long time ago in order to attract and keep new players.
I'm not expecting nerfs to lunacy mage. I completely expect they nerf its face to the ground and delete all those highroll mage's collection with it. Can't stand playing against this.
J-rax is the classic priest killer. But part of the reason hasn't been played in a while (even after sac pact nerf) was because priest COULD beat Jaraxxus.
Priest has Ruin and Soul Mirror now, Res Priest of last expansion would have actually stood a chance. If they get lucky with Lazul or Thoughtsteal priest can even steal Jaraxxus. It would still be an unfavorable matchup, but not the impossible one that it used to be.
That said, current priest probably doesn't have that hope anymore. While all the cards I listed except Lazul are still in standard, now that the res package and Galakrond are gone, Priest doesn't have a win condition anymore so they just lose to basically everything, Jaraxxus included.
I'm not advocating for Res Priest, I'm just as happy to see infiltrator gone as the next guy, I'm just saying that priest is trashy right now with a lot of situational board clears, and equally situational value generation. They don't have card draw so they need a sethekk to stick in order to generate random spells in order to hopefully maybe find a way to respond to what the opponent is doing. They can try neutral packages, but again, no card draw makes priest worse at using those cards than any other class.
Paladin has a similar card draw issue, but has always made up for it with cards that have powerful stats and effects for their cost. Control Warlock has a similar issue where they rely heavily on removal, but has crazy amounts of draw with their hero power to get that removal and their win conditions.
Priest's boons are supposed to be "Being able to keep their minions alive" and "Stealing the opponent's tempo" but all of those things are dependent on priest actually drawing the right cards for the situation, which they currently can't do reliably.
Somehow this turned into a rant about priest, but I guess that's what this thread is for.

I wonder how terrible balanced the internal meta was during internal playtesting...
And why are they only nerfing and not buffing bad cards... I hate there point of view of fixing the current meta
What they should have is a small army of early-access testers; issue is money and leaks. Problem with testing is that meta is in its essence reactive, which is hard to do if you have only got a handful of people. Some start building decks based on obvious synergies, then decks are created to counter that and then the fine-tuning starts. I don't know what Blizz' capacity is for doing this backwards and forwards. I suspect not huge; their timeline of releases is quite ambitious, every few weeks will be bringing something new. Not a lot of time to design and test properly before release, and they probably have to worry more about squashing bugs and unexpected interactions in the little time they've got.
The meta is constantly changing. If one deck is strong, then people start playing decks that are good against it, then people start playing decks that are good against THAT one, and so on.
That said, I'm with you in wondering why they thought things like secret paladin was ok. It doesn't really have any BAD matchups except sometimes mage.
They have buffed cards in the past but that's dangerous because buffing cards can break the game more easily than nerfing cards. See rogue in duels destroying the early games now that quest is unnerfed.
In years of HS i never complained about the meta. Now its really f up imho. More then 50% is playing some brainless lunacy deck. Wtf Blizzard?
When I encounter a lunacy deck now i alt tab and start to do other things. If they don’t want to play a normal deck (imho) the just wait a bit longer....
The only thing good about being stuck at diamond 5 is that I can concede after 3 turns. I can tell with about an 80% accuracy from the mulligan if the system has chosen me to win or lose the game. After 3 turns I know for certain. If I get perfect cards on curve I play it out. If I am drawing the highest cost cards that I will have to sit on while my opponent draws perfect cards I just concede and go on to the next coin toss.
So after being done with ranked until nerfs come, I thought: I'll play casuals so at least I can gain some xp until next week

You must be really RETARDED or BRAINDEAD to bring lunacy mage to casual. Not even Lunacy players stand playing against it so they go to casual to face something else. Well too bad because that mode is infested with that shit already!
So , if I don't want to play against Lunacy I'm forced to just not play the game and lose exp for days! Great design blizz! All because we need to wait a week for a tournament NO ONE ON EARTH cares about. Literally every person watching that grandmaster fiesta was there for pack drops( still haven't received mine)
