They have done this from the beginning to keep a certain level of addiction among HS players that is measurable by expansion profits.

This will never be the great strategic or fun game it could be because of Minion RNG, Discover RNG, Spell RNG, TopDeck RNG, Weapon RNG etc...all system controls that help manipulate MMR outcomes beneath a business model that focuses on profits in exchange for fun, fair strategy mechanics, or interactivity. 

This game feels terrible to lose at, and usually scummy to win because of how little you can impact final results. It's trash right now.

 What are you talking about? What MMR? MMR is a complete joke. There is not even an actual visible MMR like in other games. That thing alone should be enough to tell you that there's not an actual MMR. You can obviously see that in legend ranks as well. And frankly, how could there be a decent MMR if there was? It's a card game and the skill cap is limited, while results are often RNG produced. So you may be on a winning streak because RNGesus decided so and not that you're actually a good player. So when RNGesus decides to piss off of your side you may be playing against an actual good player that will wreck you. NOT ONLY THAT, you're also giving a good player a free win. So, HOW exactly is MMR applicable to a random based game? Honestly?

The point is that Blizzard has 0 interests in a fun strategy card game....but only $$$. They are too greedy to invest in the rewards of a game that could be fun, engaging, and interactive....but only these bizarre rng-driven clownfiesta casino-type swing matches.

That's because those are the very types of mechanics that allow algorhythmic manipulation, which better let's them focus in on what specific win rate % that cause the most addictive behaviors and bring in the most $$$ per player. Their research has led them to believe that 50% is the sweet spot.

So yes they are VERY MMR focused and the game is literally built around every form of RNG imaginable that supports it.

How can Blizzard control the outcome?

1. Match up. 2. Starting card draw. 3. Which player is first. 4. Discover RNG for both players. 5. Top decks for both players. 6. Game Rng. To name a few.

And it's so easy for Blizzard to do so because RNG literally infests every aspect of this digital 'strategy' game. And thats exactly why it's such absolute ass from a gameplay experience perspective....and always will be.

Motherfucker retards who just waste all the time at their turn doing nothing...

Then there is the massive amount of RNG. There is a good reason people went ape shit when Yogg-Saron was released and that's because it was the first card to introduce 100% RNG as an endgame. As far as I'm concerned, that was the beginning of the end. Spend all that time playing a great competitive match only to let coin flips decide the outcome. Utter bullshit. 

I'm just done. It's a waste of time and a strain on mental health. I can lose all day to Souls like video games and not come anywhere close to the rage I feel when some Secret Mage cunt emotes "Well Played" after you concede when all they do is vomit their fucking hand. That's because unlike this pile of slutty trash, when you die in Souls it's because you fucked up.

Fuck this game. I quit.

Ok, I'm gonna play some standard.

Find a aggro rogue. Dominate the whole game despite rogue pulling shit constantly out of its ass (like Secret Passage into hand dump-off into another Secret Passage). Finally get it to lethal range. Then rogue plays that minion who summons a minion based on weapon attack.. and surprise, it's Al'akir! Now my big minion dies, opponent can trade his board into mine, and still have a taunt so I can't just attack face with weapon and surviving minions. Two turns later, poor draws mean I get killed.

Ok, enough standard, let's go to wild.

Play Reno Shaman with N'zoth and shattered C'Thun against renolock. Somehow managed to not have any of my C'Thun pieces Tickatus'd, so I felt like this was the lucky day for me, even despite him drawing a lot of super good primes.In the end have the opponent at lethal range with my last minions. Opponent plays Solarian Prime. First seems all luck, no Flamestrike, Frost Nova or Blizzard ruining my day. Then turns out it did have cast Ice Block. The next turn played Hysteria on my buffed Shudderwock... and the only result that could lead me to lose the entire board thus the game, that's what happened.

Who hurted you, Hearthstone, to make you this way?

 Paying real money to Blizzard for Hearthstone is like paying to watch YouTube videos. Thought and strategy were removed from this game ages ago.

 What I find funny about that secret (btw, I think it's fair overall) is that often enough I found myself playing around it though it later turned out to be something like Rigged Faire Game, losing so much momentum in the mean time that I asked myself afterwards whether it was worth it. I guess it might actually not be that bad in the long run to just close your eyes, pray, play your spell and concede if it's counterspell (unless you have an easy check like the Coin in hand of course).

How the hell was I even supposed to win?

I've played this game for a long long time and there's always been players playing aggro decks but now, every single match - aggro, aggro aggro. I miss the days of long games, where you had to think about what card you had to play and so did your opponent. I often add players just to see if that's the only deck they play and nearly all of them say "well everyone else is playing it so I feel like I have to" -  a vicious circle. Maybe the upcoming changes will help but it's only a matter of time before the netdecks for FASTEASYWIN appear. Maybe this isn't the game for me anymore and that's a little sad.
