Evolve shaman is really naughty this year and need a fucking nerf
like anything, weapon at 3 attack would be a good start but I would prefer 6 mana.
Thanks you Santa!
Honestly, I think neither attack nor mana of the weapon is the problem with evolve shaman. The evolve mechanic is meant to be high variance and should be balanced accordingly. The actual problem with evolve shaman is it being waaayyyy too consistent. This has two reasons:
1) Cagematch custodian. This card allows shamans to consistently have at least one copy of the knuckles on curve, which is bad for the balance. It should never have been released during the same rotation as the weapon.
2) Boggspine knuckles affecting the whole friendly side of the board. Since the deck can quite easily vomit 7 minions on the board, you can easily evolve 7 minions with it. And at that point, the variance isn't that much of a problem anymore. There will be some nice evolutions almost all of the time. The weapon should affect 3 random friendly minions, 4 tops. Then the variance would still be quite high. Allowing really good and really bad turns. Also, the shamans would need some additional plans and considerations regarding the rest of their board space, making it a more interesting deck overall.
At least one of those two problems need to be adressed by the developers. In general, I'm not a fan of balance updates that only change mana costs and stats. If an effect seems to be overtuned you might want to adjust the effect itself...
And the other big problem is the pillager. It being actually stronger than the pure paladin dude just doesn't sound right.
At this point the only efforts that could make this game playable for the foreseeable future would be to completely nuke it back down to pre-2015 standards of play and start carefully from there. They could start with even the following 3 areas:
1. Remove all forms of discover that pulls beyond 2 extra mana of discover cost and always of the same rarity. You should not be able to grab legendaries from common cards at reduced cost if you want to maintain game balance and card rarity value integrity.
2. I know Blizzard likes to control and balance game outcomes but all types of RNG effects need to be cut down by at least 70% across the board. Sorry but rng is not viewed as fun for the majority of players.
3. Buff standard unplayable cards and give them some relevance.
These 3 changes alone would put Hearthstone in a much more enjoyable place in terms of gameplay and fun factor...even at lower power levels.
My mage opponent got like 4 or 5 counterspells from random effects in a single match. It was such bullshit.
Can we get rid of this ridiculous card already.
Can we get rid of this ridiculous class entirely. It used to be the autopilot spell go face class and now it's the auto pilot win or lose by "random" spell class.
The game has become a parody of its once great self. It is literally scripted. Perfect card after perfect card, top deck after top deck. Squash or be squashed. There are no close games. Shit, there are few games that go past round 10. They have gone all in after new players with the attention spans of bowls of jello. By now it is so far gone I would imagine that no one on the Hearthstone team even remembers a time when you had to think about what card to play. ZTG showed us all how the game reads the board and decides what cards to offer. They aren't even shy about it anymore. Want a mindless game you can play while multitasking? Download Hearthstone! Play the cards on curve as they are dealt, empty your hand, top deck the game winner! Isn't that fun?

Have you tried playing evolve shaman lately? All you see are hyper aggressive face hunters and rogues that kill you by turn 5. They did more than nerf Boggspine. They adjusted the matchmaking system to discourage people from playing it.
Man, I can't even count how many times my Apexis Blast got me a Chromatic Egg or Jandice Barov or that spire thingy that does absolutely nothing by itself.
Must have been his time to get wins for the win-rate balance gods' amusement.
What actually annoys me the most about the dominance that Evolve Shaman had at least before the nerf, is the fact that almost every f***ing deck plays Kobold Stickyfinger now. Just played against a Tickatus Warlock that stole the Sphere of Sapience from my custom Big Warrior. I mean I didn't expect to win that match with my meme deck, but I'm super salty anyway. Basically any deck that relies on weapons got nerfed by the appearance of Evolve Shaman.
I'm starting to believe the matchmaking system is rigged. It is next to impossible to get to Legend from Rank 5 Diamond, not because the game matches you with same skill level (How can this game detect skill level anyways?) but I believe the system in place is actually counter queue. Why else would I get value Mages and Rogues, two of the best classes and decks to beat control decks that I mostly play. And then the moment I switch to a value deck I get matched against alot of aggro, it's so consistent only around Rank 5 Diamond it's too uncanny to be just a coincidence.
The amount of times Power of Creation single handedly won the game against me is staggering. Either from getting the nuts or I just so happen to not have even 1 card out of the plethora of removal in my deck. *sigh* I really wish the card would get nerfed but that's wishful thinking. Hoping they at least print some shitty 6 drops soon...

And how could you blame them? The only way to deal with winrate-obsessed farming p####s is decrease their actual winrate.
Fucking blizzard cant do NOTHING to remove secret mage from tier 1 wild, bitch ass company promoting aggresive playstyle, hatered and fucking deliberately destroying the game from the inside
Today is the day I made a hearthpwn account just to blow of some steam in this thread.
I am closer to losing my shit than a magma rager is to being useless.
Since the last couple releases this game has gone more and more aggro than ever. Its insane how a game went from actually using your brain to no brain spamming cards while sucking of the RNG gods.
For this I would like to take the opportinuty to stretch a certain finger to my close pals:
The hunter, because fuck you and your secrets
The demonhunter, because who needs minions when you can just smack everything face
And last but not least
The shaman, because he loves to evolve but in the end the only thing he could become was an overal douche cannoo
Salut and respect to all, except you pesky aggro players x)

Well in that case, hope you get cancer too, you classless pig
There is a thing called an uninstall button. Nobody cares that you are quitting Heathstone

No. No it is not.

This game I played against mage was such horseshit
First of all, he gets Flame Ward turn 3, not even off a tutor card,
He plays Apexis Blast then gets Earth Elemental off it
Then he gets a Counterspell created by Evocation, created by Ring Toss. Should of played around it.

Ceterum censeo classum magi esse delendam.
I’ve faced an aggro DH that was insane, he did skill of Gul’dan twice and with outcast, and killed me with Altruis shenanigans
I would’ve won with my pure paladin if he wasn’t so lucky
also, polkelt nerf was completely pointless, +1 mana for a card that is already played at turn 5 to guarantee discounted Altruis or any combo bullshit

Man, i would gladly murder the creator of the matchmaking system. no hesitation.
That fucking prick is the biggest cancer in human history.
Hope you hit your elbow into every fucking piece of furniture ever created. Bitch ass faggot.
