So I decide to prove myself right yet again. I built the cancer evolve shaman deck. First game - rogue opponent makes a 10/10 Edwin on turn 2.
Second game was face hunter that drew perfect on curve. Was dead by turn 6.
Random my ass.
I tried playing the miracle rogue today for the first time. The only miracle here was that my first three cards were such garbage and I still kept playing. Also, my opponent's next turn was Walking Fountain and they ended up winning because I ran out of stuff.
Both my Paladin opponents today got a free Libram of Hope on turn 4 off Abbess. I beat one of them, but I'm more frustrated that my 3 activations of the card were all trash in comparison. :(
1star diamond 5 qued into 6 aggro decks in a row, switch to control decks . next few opponents were otk and mill. back to diamond 10 we go, feelsbadman
Evolve shaman is really naughty this year and need a fucking nerf
like anything, weapon at 3 attack would be a good start but I would prefer 6 mana.
Thanks you Santa!
Honestly, I think neither attack nor mana of the weapon is the problem with evolve shaman. The evolve mechanic is meant to be high variance and should be balanced accordingly. The actual problem with evolve shaman is it being waaayyyy too consistent. This has two reasons:
1) Cagematch custodian. This card allows shamans to consistently have at least one copy of the knuckles on curve, which is bad for the balance. It should never have been released during the same rotation as the weapon.
2) Boggspine knuckles affecting the whole friendly side of the board. Since the deck can quite easily vomit 7 minions on the board, you can easily evolve 7 minions with it. And at that point, the variance isn't that much of a problem anymore. There will be some nice evolutions almost all of the time. The weapon should affect 3 random friendly minions, 4 tops. Then the variance would still be quite high. Allowing really good and really bad turns. Also, the shamans would need some additional plans and considerations regarding the rest of their board space, making it a more interesting deck overall.
At least one of those two problems need to be adressed by the developers. In general, I'm not a fan of balance updates that only change mana costs and stats. If an effect seems to be overtuned you might want to adjust the effect itself...

I mostly have problems with Animated Broomstick, its like skip your opponents turn for 1 mana.
That feelsgoodman when your homemade deck have 68% winrate and kill every shaman , rogue , and big priest deck in wild. im expecting lot of salt here from these guys today :D ( i shuffled 47 nzoth´s back to my deck :D )
I’m playing patches. Maybe one other guy using the Pirate tribe. Doing well with leveling up. Then I notice that once I hit level 4 the game still is only giving minions from levels 1 to 3. All the pirates that aren’t capable of winning the game are the only ones being offered. Leveled up to six and was never offered a Pirate over 4.
Died in 6th place. With Patches, which any other time is a guaranteed top 4. And the other guy playing Pirate didn’t have minions any better than mine with Ele’s and Dragons off the game. If I wasn’t Patches I could have had a decent Beast build.

There's a pepper thread for good vibes, look it up on hearthpwn
So it's clear that not only did they nerf Boggspine Knuckles, they adjusted the ZTG programming that chooses cards as well. This way when you draw garbage cards they can claim the nerf worked. Three or 4 games in a row of watching a face hunter draw perfect on curve and killing you by turn 5 will make people stop playing evolve shaman. Has nothing to do with the nerf.
Lost 5 in a row to hyper aggro face hunter and rogue. Must be the nerf lol
Nerf rogue (barely), nerf shaman, sure. How they didn't nerf Tickatus is beyond me. Such utter bullshit that control warlock can clear the board and put you into fatigue 10 cards early. Makes entire archetypes unplayable, requires including an expensive tech card in other control decks (that might be burned anyway) and just wins the game for the warlock player. Absolutely awful interaction that makes playing any lategame-oriented decks (besides Control Warlock) unplayable.
To that warlock that beat me in arena earlier. Your skill is undeniable. Playing Renounce Darkness into Nagrand Slam and King Krush is a play that only the greatest of players could pull off. I should have been playing around it, but alas, I am less skilled than you.
And then to round off the experience, once you were aware that you would take the victory, despite being silent the whole game, you made the correct call in beginning to spam emotes at me, to make me feel better.
Yep, nerfing Edwin sorted Combo Rogue out didn't it. Oh wait, no, it's still exactly the same. Almost as if Edwin wasn't the issue at all... Well played, idiots.
I know people trying to rope. And I know bad players.
If you need more than a minute to figure out how to deploy Murlocs, this might not be the game for you. Especially if you can't figure out I'm only playing a deck to finish a quest.
Sorry dude. You're about as dumb as a bag of dull hammers.

Can rogues stop drawing more than 50% of their deck by turn 6?
