Came back to the game after around 4-5 month break and played the last couple days, seems the meta is still mostly just face/aggro mentality. At least half my games are against hunter which isn't enjoyable. I'll try again after the next patch I suppose.

Don't bother. Blizzard has gone into "get and keep new players" mode. Perfect cards are spoon fed on curve, discover only picks the best cards, RNG effects hit perfectly, etc. The entire game is run using the ZTG programming. The system reads the board and chooses cards accordingly. You don't play this game anymore - you watch it.

Come to this thread mainly for your tinfoil ramblings, it’s hilarious - don’t ever change!
1) Mill players are the worst and most trash players in all of HS. Count yourselves lucky this isn't a physical card game, where I assume most of you would be punched in your rat looking faces by your opponent. Look yourselves in the mirror and admit how lame it is to get wins that way.
2) Players playing Tier 1 decks with win rates close to 70% in casual are trash as well. Go to the god damn ladder where you belong.
Gonna quote myself for posterity here. How in the actual fuck can I get matched up with Mill players in 6 out of 10 games thus far? Really Blizzard? You're gonna tell me that it's just variance? No fucking way. If that's the case, then every fucking deck data tracking site is fucking lying and Mill decks are meta tier one decks.
I'm sorry, it's bullshit like this that gives the conspiracy theorists an actual leg to stand on. Seriously man, 6 out of 10 is fucking not normal for a meme deck.

Grammar is the difference between knowing your crap, and knowing you’re crap.
No conspiracies here. It’s all real but people just refuse to accept the truth. Whether here or irl. What more evidence do people need to wake up? Just lost a wild game to absolutely bs 1 in 19 odds and guess what? This is normal! It’s so much fun for the opp to top deck, discover, rng, into perfection. But not me dood I have a brain, I play well, I make good decisions. And you think Bli$$ rewards people like me? Of course they don’t. People with room temp iq slaughter people like me on a reg basis then add me to say how proud of themselves they are they sacked me. The company is shit, the community is shit, and the game is shit. See a pattern? Don’t be afraid of accepting the truth just because all the sheep believe the contrary.
Man, mill decks are so fucking dumb. Not because they're good - quite the contrary, IMO - but because the people playing them are praying harder than anyone that they get a specific matchup (control or combo - and specifically, not combo that could easily assemble and/or dump their hand with all the card draw they're being given).
Any decent aggro/midrange/tempo deck though? LOL, they may as well just concede. Need pretty much perfect draws to actually stay in the match, given how much fuel they're giving the opponent.
I hate when people are just begging for a high roll.
Just got reminded how freaking good Divine Favor is. Namely, opponent is playing an aggressive paladin deck - some pretty bad card choices IMO, but they had a very aggressive turn 1 and 2, into Divine Favor on turn 3 - against my control warrior which whiffed on turn 1 and 2, so they drew like 4 cards off it.
Super frustrating to basically lose off of one card - if their deck had of been higher quality then perhaps my whiff and their good start would have made it irrelevant, but given the quality of some of their later cards, that +4 cards for 3 mana totally mattered. No wonder it was relegated from classic.

I like how every time I ask you a question you disappear for a while then come back later with the same cut and paste reply hoping I'd forget how you dodged the last question. Just so you can't say you forgot - I was asking you to clarify that your position is that Blizzard created ZTG which reads the board and determines the best possible card, but of course they would never use that kind of programming in any other aspect of the game. Do I have that right?

So I’m the one to dodge questions huh? Let’s recap shall we? You stated the game was rigged and that any deck can get 50% win rate on page
Any deck works in ranked. Just keep playing. Eventually you will average out at about a 50% win rate. Doesn't matter if you are playing the cancer of the week deck or some hodge podge deck you threw together. The ZTG based matching system will maintain the overall 50% win rate. It has nothing to do with your deck or your opponent. You can't beat manipulated RNG.
To which I posed you the following challenge:
Also, why don’t don’t all meta decks have 50% win rate?
Why is it a struggle for you to hit legend, when others breeze through?
You said specifically that “any deck works in ranked”, because they are match fixing to 50%, so my challenge for you to take a randomly generated deck to diamond 5 with a 50% win rate still stands. Easy way to test if your Santa is real
This you entirely dodged and tried to strawman some entirely new argument:
So your contention is that the system manipulates things like the number of rares or better in a pack, the number of rares or better offered in an arena deck, the occurrence of cards in arena, how often you pull a legendary (pity timer), arranging quest cards to be in the opening hand, make cards that cast spells that "target enemies whenever possible", and even created ZTG which reads the board and determines the best possible cards, but that they would never use similar programming in other aspects of the game? I just want to make sure I am clear on your position.
Since you had no interest in defending (and easily prove your baseless claim), I decided to leave it be, nothing productive seemed to come of it.
I was however not being disingenuous, your posts in this thread make me laugh and are the main reason to swing by :)

Yeah divine favour is retarded, pure and simple. I head some moron streamer say "well yeah but when they're against other aggro decks divine favour is useless" and I'm like, that's how it should fucking work you muppet. Aggro decks should (yeah, right) be limited by the fact that they can't have infinite resources. If an aggro deck can draw better than a control deck then control decks, by definition, can't exist because they have limited answers to aggro. But no, it's fine "because against other aggro it doesn't work"...some people really can't think for more than 2 seconds at a time.
Rigged pos game standard, wild, and battlegrounds. You know it’s funny that it’s always impossible to get first and it’s infinitely second for me cuz oh im just a bad player. Beat someone’s ass before top two to one but damn right he has to win four games in a row to win and of course he does. Doesn’t matter if you built something immensely better. The battle rng which of course has absolutely no rhyme or reason just 100 percent goes his way four games in a row. Taking lines that should never happen. Oh look second place despite the odds 1000 percent in my favor. Wow such a fun game. It’s ok guys just look at those streamers with 10000 plus mmr. You can be just like them if you try hard enough. And by trying hard enough I take it you mean suck the company dick so their account has rigged rng right Bli$$? Fuck you you sack of shit husk of a company that survives on your monopoly and name only now.
going second usually wins me games in wild, the coin is huge impact
also, mage, fucking class is pure cancer, secret mage gets that little fuck 2 drop that does aoe over and over while u don't draw your any of your battlecry or spell damage. meanwhile quest mage discovers counter spell and ice block, so in essence they have all their spells as quest mage.
DH is now a shit class, i only played 50 games or so just to learn the class, but it is now dog shit.

Blizzard has a stated goal of an overall 50% win rate. This does not mean that every meta deck will have exactly 50% win rate. I'm not going to explain the math as it shouldn't be that difficult to comprehend.
With the new ranking system it is not difficult to reach legend. In fact if you read something other than gaming message boards you would see that legend rankings are at all time highs since the new system was put in place. The game rewards grinding not strategy. Play long enough and you'll hit legend. I realize that instead of answering the ZTG question you will now reply "how long?". I am not certain that there is a set time. When you hit legend you will have your answer. I have all golden heroes and just got my fourth 1,000+ win hero. Nothing in the game is difficult anymore as thought and strategy have long ago been removed.
I apologize for not recognizing that your entire goal was to dodge my questions when I said "any deck works in ranked". I forgot to put "viable" in there. No a randomly generated deck is not viable. To save you the trip to Google "viable" means capable of being successful.
Not surprisingly you still haven't offered an answer to my question regarding ZTG and the programming behind it being utilized in the game. I have typed a lot here just in the hopes that you will simply type "yes" or "no". A futile effort I am sure. It is easier to nail jello to a wall then to get you to answer a simple yes or no question.

You sound very upset and getting personal, I apologize for getting you so riled up, was not my intent. I completely agree that not every deck can get a 50% win rate, in fact that was my entire point. However, when you made your point about decks getting 50% winrate, your exact words were: “...some hodge podge deck you threw together“. That does not indicate a viable deck to me. If your point was only viable meta decks, then you don’t need some card manipulation algorithm to approximate 50% winrate. The viable meta decks are quite balanced (in fact, that’s what makes them viable), so regular MMR system where you get matched with more skilled players the better you do, will get you close to the desired 50%.
I also agree the new ranking system makes it very easy to reach legend with the new star multipliers and more rank floors. Since I play high legend in both wild and standard, I won’t be asking “how long”, as I’m very aware that’s subjective and - contrary to your belief - depends on deck and skill.
I never meant to dodge your question, I just needed to weed it out from the rant of insults you piled up. To keep it short: Of course ZTG code is being re-used when applicable. That is standard programming practice, for instance they had a brawl with wish cards that would do similar, only natural they used the code there.
If the question is indeed just a thinly veiled segue to asking if I think the same code is also used to rig every game and every card draw, then the answer can be on your desired form: “no”.
I never come closer to sending a friend request to someone in order to ask them what's their mental disability than against people who play big priest and pirate warrior in casual mode. No, seriously, were they abused at a young age? Or were they born retarded? What other possible reason could there be to bring a competitive actual deck to casual mode? What a bunch of pussies.
Only player of demons in BG, 3 rounds - 2 demons and one juggler in 15+ refreshes !!
3 play pirates, and I could build a decent+ pirate board in those 3 rounds, and yet keep momentum with every single refresh offering at least a pirate. I get it, you pref newest, but, Really?!
Ugh, fucking Yogg. Not even puzzle box - in this case, the real deal.
Opponent is playing highlander mage in wild, but a pretty all over the place build - the kind you do when you just put the best stuff you have in. Gets to pretty late game, and I've already set up an awesome DMH with my control warrior - Shield Slam, DMH, Zephrys and Mind Control. So things are in pretty good shape.
Opponent gets Jade Idol off of Yogg (mind you, this Yogg was about 10 cards and all upside - Lay On Hands even hit their face out of 7 eligible targets, when they were on about 7 health). JADE FUCKING IDOL. Against a super hard, DMH control warrior.
Stuck around one or two turns just in case he stumbled (by this point he had refilled his hand thanks to the Yogg, so could stabilize), and ended up conceding. I am absolutely serious in that that game was 99.9% mine to win if Yogg (or similar) weren't a consideration - but Jade Idol absolutely shits on my deck.
Edit: and then some fucking scrub with a priest steal deck steals Warpath off me after I play an Acolyte of Pain (keeping in mind I already did Acolyte + Dynomatic a few turns earlier for +3 cards), and ends up burning one card. They burn Dead Man's Hand - the only card in the deck I care about them burning. Fuck the RNG involved in this game sometimes.
Edit 2: OMG, SO FUCKING ON TILT FROM THIS RNG. Shaman player, turn 2 - taunt totem, against my hand with rush minions. Turn 3 - Mana Tide. Fuck, gotta coin out Kargath just to be able to hit it the next turn. He can't kill Kargath, so he hero powers - AND GETS ANOTHER FUCKING TAUNT TOTEM. 1 in 8, after those two previous bullshit matches! So fucking done today.
Came back to the game after around 4-5 month break and played the last couple days, seems the meta is still mostly just face/aggro mentality. At least half my games are against hunter which isn't enjoyable. I'll try again after the next patch I suppose.
