it's funny how the best performing decks use highlander cards and galakrond. Non Gala classes are just screwed. working as intended. Good vs Evil.

Played six games this morning. 4 against Rogue.

The only way to beat them if you play another class is to pray you can aggro them to death. Which is shitty, because I would like to try some tempo based decks but they just can't compete with the insane power levels of Rogue.  Even leaving a single lackey on the board by turn 5 or 6 is terrifying given what they can do with it.

It was really stupid of Blizzard to destroy Shaman with 2 sets of nerfs. Yes, Shaman needed to be brought down following the release of DOD. But not so much that nothing can compete with Rogue now. I really preferred the meta post the first nerf in December. The meta felt far more balanced. This is total shit now.

 So what is the problem? If you play any decent deck in ANY card game you'll probably have a 50% win rate. Otherwise they wouldn't be decent decks.

Unbelievable. I play my Bomb-a-kron deck against an OTK paladin, which I'm HEAVILY favored since my bombs just blow them up as they draw. I put four bombs in his deck by turn 6. Fuckin guy still has like 20 cards in his deck and randomly uses a Time Out when I have NO minions on the board, and draws ALL the bombs one after another like he's got fucking ESP and knows they're at the top of his deck. How does that even happen?

Plays control mage - 5x gala rogue in a row.

Switches to pirate warrior to see if I get a different matchup - 4 x control priest a row.

Switches back to control mage - 4 x gala rogue.

Coincidence?

Rogue: Watch me as I reach into this hat and... -pulls a win out- Ta-da!

Apparently Highlander Rogue can't even Cyclone Mage. FeelsBadMan

I didn't think it was possible to be so pissed off after winning, but my opponent achieved that. 

I faced against a golden portrait Highlander rogue as Rez Priest. The Rogue continued to hit me with his dagger turn 2 and onwards after I clearly had the quest out. Then for seemingly no reason they 2 damage lackied their own 5/1, does bad trades and so on. But because it's rogue and they can pull tempo+value out of their ass it came right down to fatigue even if I was making good plays turn after turn. My opponent was going to die to fatigue damage but then suddenly out comes a Tess Greymane and gets the 5/5 heal 5 at the end of the turn that he played from a generated Mind Vision, thus he is able to get out of range of fatigue damage and I just lose because I don't have anymore Plague of Deaths. 

And then...my opponent concedes. 

What.The.Actual.Fuck. I dunno if this was the worst player in all of HS, drunk/high on drugs or gave me a pity win. 

Either way I am pissed I had to go through all that stress.

Making Dragon's Pack 4/5s instead of 5/6s was NOT the balance change Shaman needed. 

Galakrond gives 8/8s AND a 5/2 weapon. Then it gets more 8/8s and ANOTHER 5/2 weapon with Shudderwock. Then it gets more 8/8s and ANOTHER 5/2 weapon on a SECOND Shudderwock due to Barista's Battlecry kicking in when they play Shudderwock.

Assuming you're playing a class that actually has access to board clears and CAN deal with the board all THREE (or more) times Galakrond's battlecry is triggered....that's 30 damage just from the weapon. How this wasn't addressed is absolutely mind boggling.

Good dammit man why do I always get the emoting fucktards while they steamroll me. For once can I face an opponent that keeps his cursor on the empty space of the battlefield like a normal fucking human being? 

Also faced against an emoting annoy-o-tron portrait paladin, and I'm not even sure if it's a bug or intended by Blizzard to actually annoy people but even after squelching they are still able to show the emote bubbles. The latter sounds about right. :/

I HATE this new malygos rogue deck. TWICE I get killed from full health because the rogue just happened to draw a 0 cost maly. 

One of those times I forced them to use most of their burn, but they got a second maly from draconic lacky.

If the skill is based on mana cheating and burst damage, clearly 30 health is not even safe.
Hunter has always had burst damage

Mage for his giants in early game with that twinspell spell or the legendary spell on turn 6 and win 2 turns for the cost minions 1.

Warlock can also win by the giants in early game but also includes win codition of Malygos with Galakrond. Oh look I have Malygos cost 7 for 18 damage. They even include Leeroy Jenkins.

Rogue for the fucking wand and Galakrond makes absurd plays until they include the win codition of Malygos. They also include Leeroy Jenkins.

Shaman can play infinite shudderworck and generate an absurd value with Galakrond that summon 4 8/8 with the Quest

Warrior draw all the minions with charge from Galakrond and summon a damaged copy with the 3/3 and that spell of cost 0.

Alestrasza, Malygos and Leeroy Jenkins must go to the hall of fame.

This game does not require skill, it is based on making absurd plays with mana cheating and burst damage.

I really love how blizzard has created a "pro" scene in this game, but at the same time over half the games I play are decided by draw and aggrodecks that are so noobfriendly that it ruins every "chess" aspect of the game. Try to play smart and you almost always get f....d by lady luck! If only Blizzard knew how to balance games! 

I just lost a game because of a Huntard Highlander deck, I had to win that game.
