As long as I don't draw the two bombs in my deck back to back, I win. Immediately draws both bombs back to back. Such a crappy way to win or lose, by the luck of the shuffle. We might as well flip a coin for it. Not even salty about it, it's just shit, lazy design.
Bomb Warrior is up there with cheesiest win by luck of the draw decks around. I'm looking at you Burn Mage.
It has nothing to do with luck. There is nothing random about this game.
So let's hear your theory about this.
Blizzard, aka the "corporation of Evil", manipulates rng so that...? What would be the motive? Personal hatred towards one player instead of the opponent? Or maybe based on genre, race or religion?
The RNG might be not manipulated but the matchup system is ridiculous and obviously rigged. You can be ignorant but that's what it is.
As for me, either I do nothing but win, then suddenly I get countered and lose five times in a row. There is no in between. Yesterday it happened again. Played Reno Mage, going 7-0 from Rank 5 to 4, then Papa Blizzard noticed me and I suddenly faced Mech Hunter with turn 5 lethal, Bomb Warrior, and a fucking WEASEL PRIEST which I haven't seen since the launch of Cobolds&Catacombs (Psyhic Scream). So apart from Mech Hunter (which could be winnable if he did not setup an unbeatable board by turn 3), exact counters to Reno decks, decks that I haven't seen for a while. If you switch deck, the same procedure will start over and over and over again :)
Matchmaking not rigged again, went 6-0, woohoo, cruising to 5, easy life. Reach rank 5, go to 5****, then suddenly, don't have any out, get only my high cost cards, ok happens. Then I'm matched against a highlander taunt druid. Yep, I did not even know it existed. Four times like this, back to 5 0 stars. Random.
Can we have something else than the same sjitty shaman and warrior decks? They are so fucking annoying and opponent take forever to complete their turn toi make it look like they are playing some really complicated deck..
I really hate Shaman's playing Mutate onto the 7 mana rush minion. Entire games are decided on turn 3. Mana cheating is just stupid, and Blizzard should not be encouraging it.
I've been away playing Autochess mobile - fun game that is a ton less aggravating than Hearthstone.
Thought I'd see what the new expansion has done:
1) Huge random game swinging cards like puzzle box or genie.
2) Heavily polarised matchups - almost can't win or can't lose.
3) Still no autosquelch. Still no penalty for roping every turn. (player base simply too dumb to request those things).
Games full of random bullshit that can turn a match completely due to rng and make it almost impossible to play around an opponents likely deck or hand.
Totally shit playing experience that vindicates my decision not to spend a dollar on this game for the last several years. Its now a mindless thing to do sitting on the crapper. Play some sort of highlander or steal deck and laugh at the random outcome.
Surely the game must be in a death spiral? Can anyone even take this random shite seriously ?

If you read more than salty message boards then you would know that Blizzard has stated that their goal is an overall win rate of 50%. That's not a theory - it's a fact. Other facts not in dispute:
1) RNG is manipulated in packs to guarantee at least one rare or better
2) RNG is manipulated in arena to guarantee a certain number of rare or better cards
3) RNG is manipulated so that quest cards are always in the opening hand
4) Blizzard has openly stated that they manipulate the occurrence of certain cards in arena
5) "Pity Timer" manipulates the occurrence if legendary draws
6) Zephrys the Great reads the board and determines the best cards silencing those that claimed such programming was beyond Blizzard's capability
7) Casual observance. Of course miracle outs do happen. But every game? All it takes is a basic understanding of probability to recognize that there are too many perfect draws, perfect effects, and top deck winners to write off as "luck". If you went into a casino and sat down at a blackjack table and every hand either you or the dealer got blackjack would you say "well that is statistically possible so this must be legit"?
As far as motive - it's a business. If you had been playing from the beginning as I have you would know that the game wasn't always this way. You didn't always draw your one out card. RNG effects didn't always hit perfectly. Discover cards didn't always hand you the game winner. However Hearthstone got the reputation of being a game that was difficult for new players to get into as so many people had a head start as far as card collections. Also that it took a long time to learn how to play. Add that to the fact that veteran players started paying for everything with gold instead of real money and Blizzard had a real problem on their hands. The game wasn't generating enough revenue. How to solve this problem? Dumb it down. If new players can create a net deck that runs on autopilot they will think that they are naturally good at the game and keep playing. New players don't have big piles of gold built up and so when they need a new card for the latest net deck they have to spend real money. Problem solved.
If it is your position that Blizzard would admittedly manipulate certain aspects of the game but not others I have a bridge that you may be interested in purchasing.
Big Priest is still rampant and a problem. Guess we gotta wait another 2 years for Blizzard to nerf the deck again. They better do it right his time. It's the combination of Vargoth and all the res cards that makes the deck so fucking snowbally.
wow so you play quest mage, wank off for 7 turns while I can do nothing against stupid fucking random spells and you emote "well played" at the end of the game. no it was not well played, it was not a fun game, you suck, your life sucks and nobody will mourn you when you end up 6 feet under
Wanna know why discover is shit? Because a fucking mage can discover three extra freeze spells and just lock you out of the fucking game. Is that skill? No it fucking isn't
Hey Blizzard, nerfing Barnes did not change anything,. Can you please destroy the retarded big priest please?
If you use HS decktracker, there's an auto squelch plugin
"I might not go down in history, but I'd definitely go down on your sister!"
Remember time when blizz printed bad hunter secrets?
me neither
Best quotes:
"Casual is perfectly fine"
"warlock is not overpowered"
"Playing odd paladin just to test it"
That's not luck. That's manipulated RNG. Every game is won or lost before the mulligan. Consequently every game is mindless.
An odd paladin losing to a homebrew Reno paladin? No hard feelings but I'll take that every single time, thank you.
I thought the same thing but I don't want to sound like a dick ^^.

Bruh why does this xpan already feel like its months old. Maby this game just doesnt work for me anymore. Even the meme decks feel shitty.

In EVERY fucking game against Murloc Pala they have Prismatic Lens at round 3 or 4. EVERY FUCKING GAME. Always. No exception.
I played maybe 15-20x against this deck and really every game round 3 or 4 this shitty card. I can't believe it.
All Skill, No Luck
It is not a coincidence. There is nothing random about this game.

Lesser Diamond Spellstone: 9 mana and requires one more spell to upgrade.
Eternal Servitude: 6 mana
Resurrect: 4 mana
Shadow Essence: 7 mana
Archmage Vargoth: 5 mana
Problem solved.
